Darcy was probably the worse person for the job. Then again it most likely esteemed from the fact that she wasn’t getting paid at all. She reaches for the garment bag in her backseat before shutting the door and turning to look up at the huge mansion that was before her. “Holy shit.” She breathes to herself as she walks up the steps and knocks on one of the huge doors. When the person answers she gives her best smile. “Hey, I’m here to drop this off to Emma Frost. She bought it for Jane, but since Jane is a dud and doesn’t like anything that isn’t plaid or denim, she asked me to return it.”

Scott was not a fan of the Avengers, but he knew when to keep his comments to himself. Especially if it meant all them coming together to come up with some type of solution. The only reason why he’s in the SHIELD agency is because Charles asked him to check in and see if there’s been any news or updates regarding the terms of their negotiations. Seeing someone walking down the hallway, Scott politely stops them.

Darcy will never understand how people can take an office job. It was so boring and with Jane in the lab staring inside of her microscope all day and talking science with some other nerd doctor, it left Darcy to her own devices. Which meant exploring the SHIELD compound, the fortress of glass is what she nicknamed it. She was finally downloading her 31st song onto her new iPod when she looks up to the voice that was asking her a question. “No, I’m the intern of the person who does work here.” Darcy narrows her eyebrows at him. “What’s up with the glasses?”

Thor smiled and shrugged, “Ah… Her work is very important and she… loves her work a great deal,” He said shaking his head a little before smiling at her, he rested his hand on her shoulder and squeezed softly. “The adventures in space are going good… We put a pause on… Space adventuring when we heard Earth was in trouble again, Jane was able to travel to space and see my home, and now I am the one that controls the Bifrost so if you ever want to visit another planet, let me know, it’d be my honor to space adventuring with you.”

“Mhm, she does but that’s not the only thing.” Darcy says with a smile, pulling a twizzler out of her pocket and taking a bite before holding one out for him. She raises an eyebrow at Thor. “I think for right now I’m okay. Earth seems pretty cool, I’ll leave the space traveling to you, your crew and whoever else has the balls to do it.” Darcy smiles giving his chest a poke. “What were you watching?”

Thor was bored, it had been a while since he had the luxury of feeling bored and he hated it, when he was bored he thought things and most of those things weren’t exactly good, he had tried distracting himself with the communication device he had been given, also called smartphones, though he didn’t really think they were that smart. He had decided to watch the television as he waited when he heard someone approaching and he turned to see who it was and smiled as he spotted Darcy. “Darcy!” He exclaimed excitedly and walked towards her enveloping in a huge bear hug. “How have you been? It’s been so long… I missed you.”

Jane had left some contraption in her lab and she sent Darcy to get it. That was about a hour ago and the brunette got distracted by so many other things, that she’s totally forgotten what it was that the scientist had told her to get. Shrugging her shoulders, she sends Jane a text message asking what it was that she was suppose to get and then she waits as she walks around. She didn’t expect to see Thor, nor did she expect to be gripped by him either. But no complaints from her. Darcy smiles, patting his back gently. “Hey muscles. I’ve been good and I’ve missed you too. Maybe Jane can stop moping around now. How’s the adventures in space going?”

“No…yea…not here.” Jane mumbles and closes her eyes. The bright lights in the room were starting to give her a headache and she was now thinking maybe Emma had been right in telling her that she shouldn’t drink so much of their wine. But she wanted to have some fun and not think about what she was stuffed in for the whole evening. “Kinda awkward.” She informs.

Darcy narrows her eyes as she tries to piece together what Jane was saying. Though it all makes sense when she says the last part about it being awkward. So she did run into the god of thunder, just somewhere else. When Jane was sober she definitely wanted the deets on that encounter. “Well, at least you spoke to each other and not do that creepy staring thing.” She pats Jane’s back again. “Let’s see if this place has some coffee. We need to get you upright.”

The spinning doesn’t subside even when she’s seated back down and she leans back against the couch and groans softly. “I dunno….” She trails off saying, trying to keep the bile in the pit of her stomach from coming up. “I los’ count afte’ six….” She tips over and her head lands in Darcy’s lap. “I don’t feel so good.”

“Please don’t puke on me. I spent a lot of money on this dress.” Darcy says, gently patting Jane’s back when she rests her head on her lap. “After six? Why are you drinking so much? Did something happen?” Darcy pauses for a moment and then leans in closer to the brunette. “Did you run into ... you know who?”

Jane was lying down on one of the plush couches that were in the mansion of the mutants. She was still drinking on the wine that they offered and now she was giggling to herself about the word wiggly. It was such a fun word and it could describe so much. Food, a thing, a person, a situation. It was really such a wonderful word and she wondered why she didn’t use it a lot. Wiggly.

She burst out laughing again, when she senses someone standing above her and she blinks her eyes up and quickly stands up, seeing it’s Darcy and instantly regrets it. The world is spinning and then Jane is leaning into Darcy heavily.

▕ ▏ “oh darce…i don’t…mmm ”

The party was pretty swanky and the food was descent. The place was also huge and Darcy saw herself getting lost easily, good thing this soiree came with it’s own tour guide. Though she couldn’t find him at the moment which is how she ends up wandering around by herself.

Though the moment she spots Jane, her eyes light up and she walks over to her and she can’t help the laugh that falls from her lips. “You are totally smashed.” She says and then she finds herself holding Jane up so that she doesn’t topple over. “I don’t get enough college credits for this. You’re gonna have to start paying me.” Darcy helps her sit back down, taking the champagne glass from her. “How much have you drank?”
