Hello and Welcome!

You may refer to me as Dr. Dockter (or...just ‘Doctor’ works fine). I am a transgender male (he/him) that has a hyperfixation on all things soup2nuts! The purpose of this blog is to document, find, and restore lost soup2nuts media. I will also occasionally blog here on my own, so for clarification purposes I will tag every personal/opinionated post as “Dockter’s Notes”! 

I will use a tagging system (UNDER CONSTRUCTION) to differentiate shows and characters. I will try my best tagging everything I can!

Triggers have two tags, one with two slashes (e.g. “bananas //”) and one with a tw (e.g. “bananas tw”). Please ask me to tag specific triggers! You’re never bothering me by asking for such.

DMs, asks, and submissions are always open, whether its to add something to the archive, or to just chat! I love interaction, don’t be shy :)

I feel like, knowing s2n, they could've had a lot of fun with it, but I can see why it was canned LOL. Would've appreciated a detective character in the old soup2nuts though...

how do you feel about the show of o’grady? it was made for “The N” by the same company

oh where do I start with o'grady...It's a HUGE inside joke between me and a few friends, for what I have to assume is around 4 years now. Somebody in a wordgirl server offhandedly mentioned it to me one time and it was all downhill from there.

I...am divisive on it? I think, since it's soup2nuts, it has the potential to be really funny and (dare i say it) good, but it's genre tends to really bog it down. Soup2Nuts isn't all that good at 'conventional' love stories, much less Teen Drama love stories, so whatever it tries to pull for a while with Kevin and Abby (and Phillip and Pete) just comes off as a big uninteresting, sometimes creepy slog. I think it wrapped up in a somewhat sweet way in the season 1 finale but it doesn't really make up for those few bad eggs.

I think it really picks up in the second season, but sadly, that was it's last. Soup2Nuts shows really need time to breath and O'Grady just wasn't able to have that grace. Shame!

As is my brand, my favorite characters are Harold and Lipschitz. Harold didn't deserve to be in that show and I love S2N characters voiced by Larry Murphy.

Hi Dockter I'm a huge Soup2Nuts/Tom Snyder productions fan myself. Have you ever looked into or watched Hey Monie!, I think it's an exceptional show as well and a great addition to Soup2Nut's productions. Sadly all recordings and archives of it are especially low quality, as are many of Soup2Nut's archived shows on the internet.

Oh and ever head of The Dick and Paula Celebrity Special? I tried getting into it, but I didn't find my self getting attached all that much to the concept or characters.

Best of luck on finding anything else Science Court related! It's one of, if not, my favorite show.

Hello moxie-mallahah! I'm so glad to meet a like-minded fan. I've seen people love one show from mr. snyder and none the rest, so it's always a pleasant surprise to see somebody who's into soup2nuts as a whole!

I actually haven't watched Hey Monie, since I thought it was completely lost to time. I'll have to give it a watch! As for Dick and Paula, I've skimmed through it but never had a full rewatch myself. I'm not sure how I'll feel, but seeing as I love concepts like these (Bill and Ted is one of my favorite movies, after all) I think I'll give it a good rating regardless.

Thank you for your ask! I'll keep searching, for sure. I always wonder what our friends back at the Science Court are up to.

While digging through the tomsynder.com archives, I have found that some episodes of science court (an assorted list of season 2 episodes) have been classified as Science Court Explorations instead of just science court. There are some noticeable differences: - They are listed to be for grades 2-4 instead of 4-6 - They claim to have ‘hands on kits’ instead of worksheets, which also may suggest that the CD roms were designed differently as well (regular Science Court also has hands-on activities, but the ‘kits’ were said to be optional when it comes to participation). An episode has been found! Charted as the last episode of the entire show, “Density”.

It cannot be put into youtube playlists, explaining the lack of its appearance, but it’s here in the archive and downloaded onto my computer just in case!

A PDF containing a hands-on experience of Science Court, specifically the season 1 episode Seasons. This PDF reveals that science court was not only a show, but a 3-part hands on experience using a CD-rom version of the episodes. Students were expected to work in groups and review the content of the episode, most likely by answering questions after each part has been played. There is also a Teacher’s Guide, a guide to Science Court itself, and a supposed powerpoint-esque presentation. This also reveals high-quality images of the characters I will soon be uploading separately!

our first bump in the road! science court lost media list as of right now: - a big chunk of season 2  - most of season 3 - ‘see you later, estimator’ segments (which came along with season 3), as well as an alleged ‘word of the day’ segment - some of the science court book editions (4 out of 15 have been documented on archive)
