“ wh ——- ! you need to get your eyes checked, i wasn’t breathing hard at all !! heh, it’s not my fault he’s freakishly tall. a - and yes you were, you liar ! ” mitsuba pauses in her tirade as features turn indignant, tossing a stray pigtail behind her & scowling teasingly. “ heh, tell me that again when i kick your ass, yuu !! 'sides, napping and drooling in the library counts as SLACKING to me. ”

she grins, & a nonchalant flick of her fingers brings out her cursed gear, flaming and fiery as herself. “ hah, fine, but don’t complain ‘bout me getting an ‘ unfair advantage ’ when you eat dust. ” she twirls tenjiryu in a show of casualness before her stance abruptly twists to offensive, & the blonde leaps forward in a heartbeat. mitsuba’s axe is raised high despite its weight, poised in the air to bring down on yuu.

Your words indicate you’ve understood, but your ACTIONS clearly reflect otherwise.” Guren was silent for a moment, allowing his words to sink in. “If this happens again, I will revoke your rights to participate in future missions. Am I CLEAR?”

“ yuu’s report ——- ? well — i … ” she offers no response & no explanation, lowering her furious gaze ; if she meets his eyes, mitsuba is sure she’ll explode. it doesn’t help that the she finds this so UNFAIR, porcelain teeth clenching in a useless attempt to hold her tongue. “ i — we … i know better than to do anything that could kill them ! there w - wasn’t any danger —- all of our squad is capable, that’s why you gave them black demon weapons !! ”

violet hues widen & the blonde’s nails carve deep crescents into her skin as fists are balled. “ these aren’t games, we aren’t kids anymore ——- ! ” mitsuba resists the urge to say more, her mouth snapping shut in shock at his threat. she takes a blind step forward in her anger, features horrified. “ but you — you can’t take me off of missions ! our squad can’t go short a member, t - that’s not fair !! ”
