âI think this will be the first time Iâve ever felt the cold. Aside from that one time I was in Jotunhein.â
âIâm not having to kill people or die painful creative deaths daily, so this place is a top ten of places Iâve lived. My childhood home being number one, the streets being two.â
âCan we not deal in extremes?â
scncffreyâ:
Of course the monsters were dangerous. But he didnât understand why they would attack a seemingly random mortal. He couldnât believe that this guy was just walking around with that, completely uncovered.Â
âI can heal some of it, if you want. But first, we should rinse that off with some water.â He always waited for permission to heal people.
What a stand up guy. Ryuu is glad that this kind stranger didnât start spewing out words of concern- things like that always made him more than a little bit uncomfortable. Having a stranger dote on him like that would make him feel guilty.
âShit, dude. Iâd appreciate it. But how much is âsomeâ? Is it worth my while?â
âŠ.. Probably better than what you have now, Ryuu.
âI mean, I can only do minor healing right now. Itâll stay most of the possible infections.â He held his hand out, waiting for the complete ok. âOh. I donât know if it still works, but sometimes when I heal people, I get flashes of memories and feelings. I havenât tried to heal anything since I got here, so I donât know if itâll still do it, but I thought you deserved a warning.â
scncffreyâ:
âI wonder how effective Jack would be against Greek monstersâŠâ He mumbled, mostly to himself as he crouched down. His stupid trash can shield was dented beyond use, but maybe he could use it to hurl at one of the monsters.Â
He felt a pang of pity for his cousin and Percy, hearing that they basically went to Greek Monster Hell. He might have seen some terrible things, and died daily, but surviving that place?
âItâs weird. It keeps⊠glitching for me. Like,â He faltered for words, wishing he had some of that magical mead to help him be more wordy. âI see the island, totally normal. Then it looks like a bad glitch animation and then I see a city in ruins. Empty, like Doomsday came and went and all thatâs left is demolished buildings, places on fire, some stuff is frozen over. Oh, and I hear wolves. So thatâs fun.â
âGlitchingâŠyeah, that describes it.â Guess he wasnât the only one who was seeing this place going in and out like a bad TV reception.Â
Percy checked on the monster gang. âI think weâre safe, but if monsters can eat us we arenât going to be safe for very long.â He looked around. There had to be some place they could get helpâŠor, frankly, just hide out for a bit. Someplace to rest in TartarusâŠhe knew a place by that description.
âLetâs go that way,â Percy told Magnus, pointing. âIf our monster pals can kill us we need to find a place to wait this out and I had a friend with a cabinâŠthing that way. At least I think it was that way. You let me know about any doomsday stuff and Iâll let you know about any Tartarus stuff, watch each otherâs backs, and you can heal me if I do anything stupid.â He grinned, trying to keep a positive attitude. Tartarus killed you by crushing your hope. Percy wasnât going to let it. He had too many people to come back to for him to die today. âSound cool?â
Magnus frowned and spoke slowly, hoping Percy would be able to understand the situation. âPercy, weâre not actually in Tartarus. It looks like Tartarus to you, but weâre still on the island. Whoever youâre looking for or thinking you can see isnât there. The place might not even be there. We need to find cover that isnât relying on what you see, because from what Iâve seen, even if I canât see your monsters, they can still attack me.â
Still, watching each others backs seemed like a good idea. He ran his hands through his hair, hating that it might grow back to full length without Alex here to cut it short, and sighed. âWell at least in your world, I hope youâll be long dead before Ragnarok. Itâs when everyone will die. The gods, dad, all of us einherjar. Itâs called the Twilight of the gods, and when itâs over, the world will be flooded. They know how their going to die, too. Dad will die at the hands of Surt, the guy who killed me.â He frowned more, hating that it even existed.

scncffreyâ:
He made sure to only grab Siren by the sleeve and pulled them along, his stomach in knots over the sound of wolves. He hated wolves. Why was it always wolves?? Though the whispering made him jump out his skin and he barely stifled a scream.Â
â That would be great. â He sighed once he had taken a moment to catch his breath, then held his hand out for the notepad. He knew almost nothing of the city, but he did know about magic and how to trick the brain. Though normally, the Gap only effected mortals. The last time heâd been on the island hadnât been long enough to learn anything about it, which he now regretted.
He spotted a run down looking building not too far away and started pulling them along again, sprinting towards it. Not an ideal place to hide in, but at least from a higher place, he could spot any wolves that might try to sneak up on him.
they really donât like trusting people they donât know all that well. especially someone they can only assume is human. humans always screw things up, and if they donât then theyâre just annoying. absolute headaches to listen to half the time.
in a situation like this, unfortunately, siren doesnât find themselves with a lot of options. only arriving in the city a couple of days ago, theyâd like to hope that this isnât a regular happening. itâs not fun thinking about the very real possibility that this world is just a simulation, but if it is it should ideally hold up better than this.
siren lets magnus drag them around, almost wanting to cover their eyes so the stark white stops scaring them so heavily. some senses have to be regained. touch and the bare minimum of sight just isnât enough. they look around trying to decipher what this place could possibly be, but none of them really stand out from one another. â is this where weâre gonna hide out if this shit blows over? â
â Oh weâre not staying here long. I just need a quiet place for a bit. â He signed, shaking his head to emphasize his point. This was not where he was going to stay. Ideally, this would go away soon. Whatever glitch to the Matrix shit was going on, would hopefully be fixed and they could go back to things like normal.Â
Once they were tucked away from the windows, Magnus sat down and took a deep breath, then let it out. His grey eyes looked calculating as he muttered to himself for a few minutes before writing with the notepad heâd been given. â What we see is two different things. I can hear you, but you canât hear me, or yourself apparently. I see monsters, you donât. Whatever is going on, we have to communicate with each other. â
That was the best way he could summarize it, heâd already helped Percy deal with a flashback at seeing some bad things, so heâs piecing together whatâs going on. â I havenât been on the island long, and my last stay was really short, so I donât know too much, but I can find out more. â
Percy flushed a little. Love to look stupid without even realizing it. âUh, some rocks. Sorry for grabbing, kind of an emergency situation. Thereâs a group of monsters and they uh,â Percy peaked out from behind the rocks. âYeah, they look very mean. And hungry. And steel-proof. Fuck.â He mentally cursed every single god he could think for this placeâs lack of celestial bronze. Even if they had their weapons, would the monster evaporate? If they were technically in Tartarus, there was nowhere for the monsters to evaporate to.
âI see Tartarus. Basically the Greek pits of hell. Itâs where monsters go when you poof them. Went there with Annabeth once. Wasnât supposed to survive. Almost didnât. Not fun. You?â
âI wonder how effective Jack would be against Greek monsters...â He mumbled, mostly to himself as he crouched down.
It keeps... glitching for me.
@scncffreyâ
âUghâŠ. Owie, I got a boo boo.â
âBoo booâ is an understatement. He got too close-quarters with one of those weird monsters, and ended up with a massive wound on his leg. It was probably lucky that he managed to escape- let alone be able to walk.
âIt doesnât hurt too bad.â Uh, how? â⊠I should probably find a way to wrap it up⊠and find a coat.â
Of course the monsters were dangerous. But he didnât understand why they would attack a seemingly random mortal. He couldnât believe that this guy was just walking around with that, completely uncovered.Â
âI can heal some of it, if you want. But first, we should rinse that off with some water.â He always waited for permission to heal people.
đ¶ | @SCNCFFREY // STARTER CALL
â§*:ïŸ| A stranger, the younger male may be, but NONETHELESS, Siebrenâs heart bleeds for him. A chance to do something in this apocalypse, to change a life FOR THE BETTER. âI SEE them,â he whines to the youth, clinging tight to an overhanging railing ( which creaks ; slips beneath his feet ) and a weight pushes against the edge â but donât worry, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for him to fall! Grimacing lips as he reaches out for the youth, grey-lilac eyes darting between creeping monsters lurking in the distance. âYou CANNOT see them, but I can. Quick, take my hand.â
Magnusâ life was usually full of weird things. Talking swords, talking seagulls, friends who can turn into animals, things like that. So hearing that there were monsters he couldnât see didnât really phase him. It made him nervous, of course, but he immediately trusted the man who was reaching out to him.
âThanks.â He grabbed for his hand, hoping this wouldnât come back to bite him in the ass.Â
((im not gonna put em on hiatus yet, but i might go through and drop threads. i wont be keeping up with the dash for a few days, so if theres anything you guys think is important, just @ me and ill see it. im hoping to get the two starters i owe on jon out when i can. ill let you know if im dropping our thread, tho it might take me a few days to go through everything. im just gonna be severely limiting my interactions on all 3 of my active blogs (leo and magnus too) for an untold amount of time. i dont want to put these guys on hiatus, cause i am having fun, and we have cast mates and weâre getting an apollo and i just⊠idk. its a mess. its not important why its a mess, the people who need to know why, know. aside from whatever i have in the queue, thisll be the only thing im posting on jon for today. if you guys wanna talk to me, my discord is Heinous Night#4916 and leoâs wire for ic chatting is @ leovaldez . theseâll be the only two places to reach me for the moment, since i wont be answering ims. thank you all for understandingÂ

Oh good, Percyâs brain was back online. He sighed with relief and helped him stand. âItâs like, what did Annabeth say was the Greek equivalent of the Gap? Mist? Weâre seeing two completely different things. Whatever youâre seeing, Iâm not. Itâs⊠real. But not.â He knew it didnât make a lick of sense, but it was as best as he could understand it.
He looked around too, hearing another wolf and tried to keep his knees from knocking together. âI would really like to not be eaten by wolves so letâs look for a hiding spot. Then Iâll see what I can maybe heal.â He wished he had Jack right about now.Â
âI donât know whatâs going on exactly, Iâve been looking for people who are more experienced and might know more, but I havenât had much luck. Can You walk?â
Percy frowned. He hated the Mist. Wolves he didnât mind, but he understood that Norse wolves were a little more harbinger-ey than Roman ones. It was nice to know he wasnât actually in Tartarus at least (although he wished it didnât feel so much like Tartarus).Â
âYeah, I should be ok for now, although Iâd like to know what in Hades is going on. You said something about wolves. Are we all seeing different places?â He figured that was the best explanation because, as far as he knew, Tartarus didnât have wolves. The absolute worst monsters in the known Greek universe, yes. Wolves, no. Go figure.
He scanned their surroundings again. If Tartarus taught him anything, it was to always watch your 6. He almost had a heart attack when he saw a group of monsters in the distance who were rapidly approaching their location. âHey so if what Iâm seeing isnât real does that mean the monsters arenât either? Because if the monsters are real we need to move now.â Percy didnât wait for Magnus to answer and grabbed his hand to run towards the nearest shelter: a probably too-convenient group of rocks by the river. Ugh. What was it with Tartarus and all the rocks anyway?
Magnus would argue that wolves were in fact the worst monsters to exist in the known universe, but he was biased. âNo I think the monsters are very real. What are you seeing?â He looked in the direction Percy was and frowned. Of course he couldnât see them, but that just scared him more. Heâd heard about some of the Greek monsters from his cousin, so he didnât like their odds since neither of them had any celestial bronze on them.
âFuck me if I know whatâs going.â Not that he ever really knew what was going on. He was always in a constant state of confusion when dealing with things, and his friends rarely helped enlighten him. âI mean, the Gap is real. Itâs a space between the mortal world and the other realms. Like the Mist. So this might be real, but it might not be. Which is confusing. And not helpful. How scary do the monsters look? I donât like our chances, because I donât have my talking sword. And you donât have your sword that my sword was obsessed with.â
He forced back a snarl at Percy dragging him along. Gods did he hate being handled without a warning. Usually it was cops or people trying to hug him, and occasionally mug him, but even without bad experiences, he just never liked touching. âWhat are we using for hiding, because thereâs nothing here for miles except some worn torn looking buildings.â
âI mean, Norse gods are pretty terrible to each other. But they werenât as bad as Greek gods, since they didnât seem to go out of their way to actively ruin mortals lives.â
scncffreyâ:
He heard another howl and recoiled, pulling out his trash can shield and holding it out nervously. They were still further away, but they were getting close. He wanted to cry and run, but he wouldnât just leave this person.
Turning back towards them, he nodded briefly. âI can hear you.â Then he pointed to his own wrist, and then at Siren, miming that he wanted to grab his wrist. He hated touching people but with the city shifting between the island and Midgard, he didnât want to loose track of them.
âToo long to explain, I need paper or whiteboard.â He hated whiteboards especially after vising Alfheim and dealing with all those stuck up rich elves, and Hearthâs dad. His expression changed from cowering to angry for a moment, dark grey eyes hardening.Â
siren hated being touched just as much, if not more. but they know they arenât in any capacity to complain. grateful that their words can reach anyoneâs ears, they decide to at least stay quiet for now. they can take the hint that itâs hardly an appropriate time to start blathering about how sad it is that they canât hear the melodious sound of their own voice.
they usually speak in a sing-song way, but the dire state of things leaves their rhythm more calculated. focused on getting out what they need as quickly and clearly as possible. sirenâs free hand digs in their pocket when magnus suggests having something to write with. the lyrics written in his notepad are messy and personal, but at least the last half of the book is blank.
siren flips slowly with their thumb, choosing to trust and let magnus take the reigns on their path for now. such lyrics that they usually find soothing are only further stressing them out, as they fear theyâll never get the chance to hear how they sound or truly create a tune for them. they take a deep breath, biting back the tears that always seemed to come so easily.
â i have a pen and notepad if you need it. â they whisper into his ear.
He made sure to only grab Siren by the sleeve and pulled them along, his stomach in knots over the sound of wolves. He hated wolves. Why was it always wolves?? Though the whispering made him jump out his skin and he barely stifled a scream.Â
â That would be great. â He sighed once he had taken a moment to catch his breath, then held his hand out for the notepad. scncffreyâ:
âGotcha.â He picked Percy up, a struggle because his warrior strength was gone, and dragged him to where he had pointed. He couldnât see a river, but if he could get Percy close to it, he hoped Percy would be able to get it for himself.Â
âCan I heal you while you drink?â He couldnât fix Percyâs PTSD but he could hopefully soothe some of the symptoms. Why wasnât the city changing back for him?? It kept glitching out into different worlds, like if the World Tree had broken down and suddenly all the worlds were crashing into each other. Or if a computer game broke and you suddenly found yourself at the next level early.
Swallowing theâŠ.liquid (calling it water would be an insult to water) of the Phlegethon was just as disgusting as he remembered. Thankfully it helped Percy manage that pesky dying feeling.Â
For a brief moment as Percy felt better, he saw regular old Isola, before the whole Tartarus business started. Then the world seemed to glitch out (weird) and went back to the steaming hell-pit. At least he could get up (painfully) and look around without his head spinning. He looked at the familiar blonde figure and immediately felt like an idiot. He shouldâve figured it wasnât Annabeth earlier. Then he felt very confused.
âMagnus? What are you doing- what am I doing- something is very wrong here.â He scanned the surroundings for immediate threats. None so far, but given that it was Tartarus (maybe?) he figured it wouldnât be long until some monsters smelled their tasty demigod smell. If Magus, a Norse demigod, was in the Greek Tartarus, something super bad was going on. And him without Riptide, of course. He reached for the regular steel sword Leo forged for him. âNo monster attacks hereâ his butt.
Oh good, Percyâs brain was back online. He sighed with relief and helped him stand. âItâs like, what did Annabeth say was the Greek equivalent of the Gap? Mist? Weâre seeing two completely different things. Whatever youâre seeing, Iâm not. Itâs... real. But not.â He knew it didnât make a lick of sense, but it was as best as he could understand it.

âI donât know whatâs going on exactly, Iâve been looking for people who are more experienced and might know more, but I havenât had much luck. Can You walk?â
scncffreyâ:
âOh thank the gods! Youâre alive! Percy, you gotta talk to me ok? What do you see??â He was leaning over him, still keeping his hands to himself as he scanned him for injuries. âI need your ok to heal you, whateverâs messed up. I donât know whatâs going on, but I can find out once I know youâre safe. Annabeth would kill me if I let you die.âÂ
He was grateful for his short hair, since he wouldnât have to pin it out of his face to see Percy. He couldnât see any physical injuries, so maybe it was his mind?? Annabeth had told him a lot of what sheâd been up to in the Greek Gods half of the world, but he didnât know everything. He wracked his brain trying to remember what the Phlegethon was. All he could think of was a river.Â
Wait. The city. Mangus brought his hands up to his head and tried to think. It was a lot. A lot was going on. But one minute, everything seemed just fine!
âItâs a river right??â Maybe he could trick Percyâs delusional brain into thinking it was where it needed to be. âCan you direct me to it? Iâll carry you, right after I heal you.â
Healing sounded nice. It also wasnât a thing Annabeth could do. But now wasnât the time to worry about things making sense.
Percy managed to sit up slowly, ignoring the excruciating pain, and looked around for the flaming river. He would be able to figure everything out a lot better once he ingested some of that disgusting fire-water and cleared his head. Finally, he spotted it.
âOver-aaaaaagh.â Right, no talking. Talking bad. Percy pointed in the direction of the river Phegethon, hoping that Annabeth - maybe not Annabeth? got the message. Vaguely, Percy wondered how Annabeth or whoever this was could still be standing if they hadnât gotten to the Phlegethon. Another thing for Not-Dying Percy to work out because Dying Percy was a little busy at the moment.
âGotcha.â He picked Percy up, a struggle because his warrior strength was gone, and dragged him to where he had pointed.
