scorpius & celeste
rcyaltics:
Celeste couldnât help but roll her eyes at her brother falling on her bed. He could be so overly dramatic at times. Especially when he liked a girl. Of course he cared what he thought. Her and him were two completely different people. While Celeste had accepted that she would never please their grandparents and she just didnât care anymore, Scorpius kept trying because that was just who he was Part of her wish she could be like thatâ it was one of the traits she had grown to admire about the boy. Even if she just thought the blonde was absolutely crazy for doing so. She loved him. Sometimes. âItâs not like you guys are going to run off and get married and then get pregnant the first chance you get.â The brunette pointed out very clearly. âBesides, theyâll be dead by the time any of that happens, hopefully.â She mumbled the last part mostly to herself. She could only hope. Sitting down on the edge of her bed, Celeste continued to listen to her apparent distressed older brother rant on about Lily Luna. Merlin, did he have it bad. Of course she knew Lily. They were in the same year at Hogwarts. âWell, what are you waiting for? Go tell her that!â The brunette urged her brother, smacking his arm. âIf you donât tell her soon, some other guy will and it wonât be pretty. I mean, she is a Potter.â Her attention moving to the stray piece of paper peeping out from underneath the blanket. Of course it did. It wasnât like she could hide them forever. They were the Malfoys, nothing ever stayed hidden for every long in their household. Celeste took no time in shaking her head and quickly taking it and folding it up. âOh, definitely not. Theyâre just papers. No big deal, really.â
Scorpius blushed at his sisterâs bluntness. Not that he wasnât used to it, but it still hits him every now and then that Celeste inherited their fatherâs C R A S S N E S S. âOf course, not! I would never. Iâll have you know that Iâm saving up tillâ marriage. Thatâs right, your nerd of a big brotherâs still as pure as can be.â He grinned rather teasingly at his little sister. He meant to sound funny until he realized he had just embarrassed himself even more than when he confessed to liking Lily. But it was true. He couldnât just give that to just anybody. He wanted to have it with a girl he really loves; one that he believed would be staying for the long run. âBelieve me,â Scorpius cleared his throat, hoping to get rid of the topic of his exposing his virginity. âGrandma and grandpa would still drag me from beyond the grave. I... I just donât want to let them down.â
It was one thing to let down his parents, but to disappoint Grandpa Lucius and Grandma Narcissa was a whole other she-bang. But his thoughts on such subsided when Celeste urged him to tell Lily. The blush on his cheeks reddened even more than the last time. âI-I donât know, sis. I... Iâm not sure how to tell her! Sheâs the most amazing person in my life and I feel like Iâll just ruin our friendship if I confess. Sheâll hate me forever!â Lily was his second ( well, third; if he counted Celeste as his second, Albus his first ) best friend and he didnât want to risk ruining their friendship if he started confessing his feelings. He wasnât even sure if Lily felt the same way! His anxiety in the matter only increased as his overthinking took over.Â
For a moment, he let the thought subside----hoping he wouldnât have to face it all again as Scorpius looked at the papers Celeste was folding intently. His sister hid a few things, and he respected that; but he had a feeling those papers meant a little more. He wasnât quite sure what it was, but he was very eager to find out. âNothingâs ( just papers ) to you, Celeste.â Scorpius said nonchalantly as he scrambled up from lying down to stare at his sister properly. âYou can tell me anything, remember?â
