Moving & Making Friends
This past weekend I moved out of my last ever college house. I had previously attended UW-Whitewater, in Whitewater, Wisconsin. For those of you who don’t know anything about Wisconsin, Whitewater is a small little hick town that pretty much has a University and a Walmart. Anyway, I graduated in December with my Bachelors Degree but still had a lease on an apartment until the end of the year (May). So I had to come to terms with this part of my life being over just last week. Seriously.... so depressing. College was the best time of my 23 years of life this far. Well now I am back home living with my dad and commuting to work everyday.Â
How do you make friends these days?Â
Am I supposed to start a conversation with someone at the grocery store? I honestly have no idea where to even start! I am working an hour away from where I live so work friends are not going to solve this problem + I am about 20 years younger than most people in my work environment anyway!Â
All my friends are scattered throughout southeastern Wisconsin but it is at least a 30 minute drive to see them...and after driving 2 hours each day the last thing I want to do is drive another hour just to hang out for a little bit.Â
I guess what I am trying to say is adult life sucks!
This is my life today. I hate Mondays.Â
blog life
I’ve always wanted a blog. Not because I want to have followers or fans but because I need an outlet. This blog is my outlet. So welcome to my life. It’s super exciting…not really. But its real. I will be real with you and share my struggles, my successes, and everything else in between. I hope someone, anyone can take what I say here and use it for their own good. I can’t promise it will always be good but I can promise that I will never be fake. This is me, today.Â
