I'm ScoobySnax and this is my tumblr. I've been playing The Sims since it's birth all those years ago and though I have been playing for many years, cc creation is a recent venture. So that being said, I'd like to share with you some of my creations.
Bette (Candice Olson) Sofa by Holy Simoly - TS4 Conversion.
This Holy Simoly Bette sofa was a firm favorite of mine in TS2, so I decided to give it a litte revival in TS4. I have made some up-to-date recolours and textures, but I have also converted the original colours too! Check it out here.
In no way am I taking credit for this mesh, it was designed and created by Holy Simoly, I just did the TS4 conversion.
Did a little TS2 conversion of HolySimolys “Wall of Memories” picture shelf. Yeah, I know it’s out there already, but I’m the kind of person who needs to re-invent the wheel and I just felt like making a conversion of my own.
I used the original Holy Simoly pictures and frame textures but I did manipulate the shelf to a Sims 4 texture.
Looks good in game
Also threw a couple of recolours into the mix :)
All credit goes to HolySimoly for the original mesh.
Eventually got around to fixing this cloak and hood’s white recolour not appearing up in CAS.
Apologies to those who have messaged about this and I was slow to respond. As a way of apology, I have added some other colours into the mix, namely Brown, Green, Blue and Red.
You can get the files from my site - scoobysnax.co.uk
hi, your site seems to be down? is there any other way to get the "cloaked in magic" cloak?
Hello. Yes I need to give it a overhaul but other things keep getting in the way, as it is with life sometimes 😞. Anyway, you can get it from this link
So over Easter I’ve been working on TS2 to TS4 conversions of some of my favorite clothes, for personal use. I was quite pleased with the outcome.
This is my conversion of the Arthelope Winter Charm Coat for The Sims 2.
Not sharing as I dont have permission, and no credit is taken for the mesh or for the texture; that goes to Coccamama and Arthelope for the original. Original mesh and texture from:
TS3 to TS4 Conversion, right from the middle ages.
I created this mesh conversion a long while ago now with the intention of sharing; however, it seems that real life got in the way so this little medieval number was forgotten about and never uploaded.
Fair Maiden, at present, only comes with the original texture, but is fully compatible with the more curvaceous of our sim ladies.
Fair Maiden will be available on my website www.scoobysnax.co.uk - which at present is down for some much needed maintenance.
However, in the mean time you can download from this link.
If you like this mesh conversion and wish to recolour or retexture, please feel free to do so. This is an offical TS3 Maxis mesh, however, don’t forget to show some love - a little mention for the mesh conversion would be most appreciated.
Just thought I’d share what I am currently working on. For all those Sims that like the medieval look....What can be lovelier than a Fair Maiden.
This will be a TS3 to TS4 Conversion of EA Mesh Fair Maiden, part of the Tudor set, sims 3 store. It’s a work in progress at the moment, but is going really well. Once I have perfected and made a decent enough texture I’ll share for download.
This is a TS3 to TS4 conversion of the Marvelous Mirror. Previously only available as a premium content item from the Sims 3 store. I missed this big ol’ mirror being in the homes of my snooty pants Sims, that I decided to give a new home in the Sims 4.
Available in 4 colours - Gold, Steel, White and Teal.
As always, you can download this at my lil’ sims fansite www.scoobysnax.co.uk
It appeared there was a error with the Hood file in the .zip download, as in it being completely the wrong file. My sincerest apologies to anyone who downloaded this, I have since corrected the download link and both the hood and the cloak should now be in .zip file Download
It’s hard to find a decent cloak anywhere for TS4.
So I decided to take a the best available from TS2 and convert it to TS4. And what a nightmare it has been!
This is a Sims 4 conversion of Cynnix’s Hooded Cloak for TS2. All credit for this cloak goes to Cynnix, I’ve merely adapted it for my own purposes in TS4.
I have had to rework the original mesh a little to fit the modern day sims of TS4 and as such it is by no means perfect.
I must stress that I am not an experienced mesher and all this, is really just a part time hobby of mine; so please forgive it for being a little rough around the edges. By all means, if you can improve on what I have done so far, please do and please share – it would be nice to have some decent cloaks to swoosh about in! Or if you have some advice on how I can improve it, I am only too happy to listen.
At the moment the cloak is only compatible with Teen to Adult Females.
I have had some trouble with larger sims, both overweight and muscular. However with a slight adjustment to shoulder width in CAS and it will look ok.
I do plan to relase a male version a childs version; however I just need some time to do it.
The cloak appears within CAS > Accessories > Glasses.
Some other issues with the cloak are:
Its not great with all hairs. It’s a case of trial and error, to see whats good and what’s a pile of pants!
The cloak length is not correctly bone assinged. No matter what I try it ends up causing weirdness.
Kinda hangs through furniture when sitting down and because of bone assignment, pokes out when sims bend.
The Hood (Not the Thunderbirds villain)
The hood is a modification of the TS4 hood and appears within CAS > Hats.
Warning! Elf ears show through the side of the hood, If you have them equipped.
If you’d like to try out this cloak then both the cloak and hood can be downloaded here
Do you think you'd be able to convert your cloak to children's wear as well?
Yes I think I probably could convert the cloak for children. Its working ok in the game atm, but I need to still work on the bone assignment as it's not perfect for the larger sims.
Hi wiccandoveThe dress is a mash up I made of Kiara24′s Aleera’s Gown Mesh and a recolour and re-hash of PrismaPlanet’s Prisma Wedding Dress texture.Hence why I haven’t shared it, as technically the work is not my own.
I wanted a cloak for my elven & faerie Sims and I couldn't find one for love nor money. So I set to work on this TS2 cloak conversion of a Cynnix mesh and right now, it’s proving a real pain in the harris.
I decided I wanted a cloak that would also work with a hood, so I added my own little touch of the attachable hood. BUT it gives my Sims a funny looking moustache!! - Back to the drawing board me thinks!!! Maybe if it works out OK I will ask for permission to share.
