There exists an unused enemy(?) that was to appear in Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil. It is unknown what it could do within the game. All that exists is this render and a small cameo of it in the final unlockable scrapbook image. Curiously, above the character is an unused Moo enemy as well.

While the above “heart” character doesn’t appear in the manga Shippuu Tengoku Kaze no Klonoa, the unused Moo variant appears in Chapter 7 of Volume 1, as well as the character Flolo with a different design, in other places. It is likely the author Hiroshi Katou was provided reference materials before some things were finalized in the games.

While not exactly the same design as the ones that almost made it into Lunatea’s Veil, these Monkey Moos appear in Beach Volleyball during the Jungle Court stage.

Within the files of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series are meshes and textures for the unused “Flower Moo” enemy; one for it’s regular and inflated state. And just like in the original, the two unused characters appear in the same spot of the final scrapbook image.
