Despite obvious strain, Lily had been making strides with Damon if only because of the obligation he now felt back to his mother. She had missed out on many of the moment where a mother was truly needed in a sonâs life. Lily was only grateful that she got to be around for the part of his life where he found a woman he loved enough to marry. And getting to know the wives of her sonâs had been a delightful experience thus far. In fact, she felt as if she knew them more because they were often more receptive to her efforts of making a more sincere relationship. None the less, now that she was in her big house without the Heretics it was her that felt lonely in this town. So she made frequent visits. Approaching the loft, flowers in one arm and a bottle of bourbon in the other, she knocked a polite few times and stepped back from the door. @formerpsychokiller
