Where Has Devin Been???

Hello everyone! What? I’m alive?! That’s right! You’re probably wondering where I’ve been though, right? Let me explain.

For starters, I never meant to take such a long break from my blog. When I first made this blog, however, I figured something like this would happen at some point. I’m a very busy individual and sometimes I accidentally let things slide. This is my hobby. While I feel somewhat bad for leaving for so long, at the end of the day, I’m glad I did give myself time to breathe and didn’t try and pile on replies while everything else was going on. It would have meant half-assed replies to my threads and that’s something I never want to do. I’m grateful that so many of you have stuck with me despite this unintentional hiatus. Thank you! I can’t promise something like this won’t happen again in the future, but I will try my best to update more often instead of remaining silent.

So, where have I been???

I decided to take a small break back during Christmas. It was the holidays and Winter Break, so I wasn’t too focused on my RP blog. I had some other projects to attend to as well. I was going to a con in January and I was making some of my cosplay myself. I also had commissions to do. So, I figured I would take a little break until the con was over and I had gotten started with my new semester of school to get into a rhythm. I also made a New Year’s Resolution to start going to the gym and being healthier after my surgery back in September. Another thing I did in January was sign up for Get Your Words Out where I pledged to write 200,000 words this year. Well, the con came and went and I got my commissions done. However, I felt like I was bombarded when February started.

I thought this semester was going to be pretty easy as it’s my last semester before graduation this May! But, I think I took things too easy because my grades started to slip. I was panicking and knew that I needed to spend more time working on assignments and studying to bring them back up to A’s. I eventually did this, but it took the majority of February for me to do so! I also celebrated my birthday then. A lot of the free time I had was then spent going to the gym because my PED class really motivated and inspired me to work hard. I’ve incorporated exercise and healthy eating into my life (lost 9 pounds so far yay!), which meant less time for RPing. At the same time, I got the biggest commission in my life. A client asked for a 30,000 word fic back in January, which I’m still working on! It’s the second largest thing I have ever written and whenever I had a moment of free time I worked on that. I didn’t even work my Spring Break in order to get that commission done and only got to 24,000. I’m glad that I was able to get such a large commission, but on the other hand, it has eaten away at my time. I’m hoping to finish it sometime this month, but we’ll see. That is my main priority right now.

Along with all that, I was also busy college searching this whole time! I got accepted into my top three schools and had to make a decision. I submitted a couple more essays to get into some of their programs and then I was actually invited to all of their scholarship weekends. I went to two in February back to back. I had no time those weekends because I was driving a few hours to and from the college and then they had my schedule entirely planned out from the moment I arrived to when I left. I attended another scholarship weekend in March, and finally, I attended another event right after that. I was so happy to be accepted by all my schools and get to experience their campuses as it really helped me make a decision. But, there was no time for anything else unfortunately. I now know where I’m going to college though in the fall, so I’m excited for that!

That’s just a small taste of my life from these past few months. A lot more has been going on, but those were the main things that kept me away from this blog. I’ve just felt like I’ve been completely swamped since January and only now is some of that pressure starting to come off. I honestly felt like a chicken with its head cut off for a while there! But, with the semester ending and this commission almost done, I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things.

As such, I know I have a lot of people waiting on replies! I will be doing them in chronological order of when I received them, so the people who have been waiting the longest will receive a reply first! I will try to get at least one out this week and we’ll go from there.

"Knowing that you can completely overpower me makes me so crazy horny.“

“Really, my dear?” he practically hummed as he turned to face her after such a confession. 

A turmoil of thoughts began to whirl in his head. But, most importantly, his mind was fixated upon images and images of the different things he could do to her. For instance, he could show off his prowess by hoisting her up and over his shoulder, delivering a firm smack to her ass in order to show her who was in charge. Or, he could carefully tackle her to the ground with just enough force to spur her on, then begin nibbling her ear as he rolled his hips into her own. And yet another option was to saunter up to her and hold her flush against his own chest before tilting her chin up to pepper her face in addictive kisses. 

In the end, however, he did n o n e of these things. He stepped up to her, one hand on his hip, a smirk playing on his lips. He loomed over her, raising his own chin to force her to look up at him completely. 

“Are we being naughty again, Maka?” He almost had to bite his own bottom lip to hold back his wide grin. “Did you not learn your lesson the last time?” he remarked, knowing that saying things of that manner drove her ballistic.

Welp, personal space clearly wasn’t much of a thing to Arturo either. People normally avoided his hands considering they had DEATH tattooed across his fingers. People found that unnerving for some reason. Still he allowed himself to be dragged along. 

Oh how lovely it was to be in a nice warm coffee shop. And the hot chocolate was cheap which was a bonus.After ordering their drinks they sat down at one of the tables right next to the window facing the Christmas tree. He couldn’t actually remember the last time he was happy at Christmas. Normally he would just work to take his mind off it. Though this year the hospital had forced him to take a break. 

Law glanced over at the other who still seemed to be having the time of his life. Strange kid. Was he a kid? He didn’t look much older then 20. 

“You don’t seem like the sort of person that is alone on Christmas. Don’t you spend it with your family?”

Hopefully Arturo had a better relationship with his parents then he did. He couldn’t even remember the last time he spoke to them. Still it didn’t overly bother him. All they ever seem to do was criticise his life choices. 

As they approached the counter, Arturo was surprised that Law asserted himself and paid for his own hot chocolate as well. It made him feel a bit awkward. He could afford his own hot chocolate, but he supposed the other was just being nice and trying to embrace the Christmas spirit. Nevertheless, Arturo shuffled his feet beside him as they waited for the woman in the santa hat to stir their drinks. When he cupped his drink in both hands, it quickly warmed up both of his palms, the steam rising out of it hitting his face. He smiled, dimples appearing and eyes wrinkling. He gently blew on it as he followed Law towards the front of the shop to a table in perfect view of the glimmering Christmas tree. 

When they sat down, Arturo continued to hold his cup in his hands, loving the warmth radiating through him. He dared not drink it yet though, in fear of burning his tongue. His eyes drifted out the window towards the Christmas tree once again; it was almost as if he couldn’t see anything else. The sparkling lights always seemed to captivate him, reminding him of good times and fond moments spent with his rather large family on both sides. Now that he thought about it, he should have invited his uncles out, but spending time with Law was proving to be fun anyways. Besides, they had much busier lives than himself and probably wouldn’t be available anyways. 

Just as his thoughts began to wander to his family, Law asked him about that very thing. He supposed it was odd that someone his age was out walking around without anyone else by his side. He smiled softly down at his swirling hot chocolate, eager to take his first hot and delicious sip. 

“Yes, I’m very close with mi familia,” he said, chuckling under his breath at the affection term his father always used for them. His smile faltered slightly though when he continued. “Unfortunately...my parents had to be out of town this Christmas to be with a sick relative...” He stared down into his cup, a barrage of happy memories filling his head. He shook them away, looking back up to smile at Law, though it didn’t match his eyes. “I’m glad I could spend Christmas with you though!”

It seems silly, to give him of all people something on Christmas but it doesn't stop the petite Shinigami from handing the tall, rather fearsome arrancar a carefully wrapped gift and a small bag. Nothing too big or fancy, a bottle of alcohol and a family scroll of hers that chronicled him. Not much else, but that was probably for the best. "Enjoy."

She approached him out of nowhere near the outskirts of Rukongai where he had found himself wandering recently. He hated staying in Hueco Mundo, hated that overwhelming pressure that could make him sick to his stomach. He often found himself on the move, traveling through the desert sands like a nomad. Sometimes he would wind up in the Human World or sometimes he could be found here, staring off into the distance at the bland little rooftops of the Rukongai District. He liked coming here to gaze out across a familiar sight, one he had looked upon many centuries ago when he had first invaded the Soul Society. It was quiet here, a place he could come to in order to collect his thoughts and formulate his newest and greatest plans. His reiryoku was slowly returning to him and he could feel himself on the cusp of a grand new strength. 

He had decided to stay away from the Human World as it was covered in a mysterious white film. The town he frequented was also adorned with bright and flashing lights. There was a different air about, one he didn’t welcome or feel at peace in despite the jolly looks on everyone’s faces. He much preferred his dark and solitude, perhaps from spending an eon underground in a place void of a n y t h i n g. The swirling winds out on the edges of Hueco Mundo kept him company, embracing him like the prodigal son. He felt much more at home here. Until she arrived, of course. 

He possessed no idea of what she wanted, though he did in fact recognize her as the Shinigami that had helped him when all had been lost. She was the one who allowed him to escape into the treacherous yet accepting sands of Hueco Mundo. If not for her, he didn’t know if he would be here at this very moment. As such, he simply raised his head at her appearance, knowing she wasn’t there to challenge or harm him. He kept his back straight, TOWERING over her nonetheless. She still believed that he was one to be feared, perhaps the only person left who thought of the name Arturo Plateado and trembled. For that, he was oddly…g r a t e f u l. At least someone understood that he was not to be reckoned with. 

However, when she handed him a beautifully wrapped box and a similarly decorated bag, he was a little bit more than baffled. She didn’t provide him with any details, a single word slipping past her plump lips, which proceeded to curl up into a grin. He blinked at her, a question ripe on the tip of his tongue, but it was one he never got to ask as she was gone in an instant, flash-stepping far away from him and the murky sand. He was left to wonder alone in her dust, the weight of the items in his hands the only thing that reassured him that he hadn’t imagined her. 

With nothing better to do, he plopped himself down into a dune, a pillar of sand raising up behind him as his weight settled onto the mound. He pulled the drawstrings of the bag apart, lifting a brow when he saw that she had given him sake. He hummed in the back of his throat. While he had never touched the stuff he was well aware of the fact that it was often drunk during times of celebration. The gifts themselves represented that as well. What were they celebrating? Was there a festival happening in the Soul Society? And if so, why did she feel the need to provide him, of all people, with anything? 

He shook his head, not caring to think about the silly thoughts that must have flittered through that woman’s mind. He lifted the lid off the box, a hefty bow weighing it down. His eyes widened at what he saw inside. He reached his hand in, pulling out an embellished golden scroll. Even more confused now, he wondered if she was providing him with some valuable information? Why would she betray her own colleagues though? It didn’t make any sense. He unruffled the wrinkly yellow paper, his eyes immediately going to skim over the polished calligraphy. Each line he read only further fueled the raging inferno of his soul. A wicked smirk stretched across his features, and by the time he reached the end of the scroll, he had to cover his own face to control himself. A cackle slipped out of him nonetheless, and he couldn’t help but shake his head at that blasted Shinigami’s antics. 

His chest was swollen with pride so much so that he cracked open the bottle of sake to sample it, filling his belly with a lethargic burning. And as he went to take another swing of the luxurious drink, his eyes once again swept over the first sentence of that ancient scroll: 

Precisely one thousand years ago, an impeccable threat loomed over the horizon by the name of Arturo Plateado, the first and most fearsome arrancar.

Law had honestly expected to spend Christmas alone again. He may have been used to it but it still sucked, especially since he had just been dumped … again. It was always the same reason, he worked too much. Well he was a surgeon so he didn’t exactly have a choice. 

Now what he hadn’t expected was for a stranger to approach him on his slow walk home in the snow. Law hated winter. And the snow was always the worst bit because it stopped him being able to safely drive to work. It didn’t seem to bother the stranger though. At first the man’s chatting annoyed him so much he had wanted to just tell him to piss off. It had been a really long day and he wasn’t in the mood for company. But the enthusiasm started to rub off on him, plus being a jerk at Christmas wasn’t really fair. He had the rest of the year for that. 

Arturo, he learned, was obsessed with the Christmas lights. So instead of shrugging him off and going home, Law led him to some of the best lit roads. The ones that all got together to turn the whole street into an amazing display. Despite his previous mood, he couldn’t help but smile as Arturo’s eyes lit u[ at each house that was decorated. It was like watching a child witness them for the first time. 

By the time they headed back to the city centre, the man had actually made Law laugh a few times. Definitely something that didn’t happen often. 

“I would prefer it a little warmer … I don’t like the cold much. The lights make it worth it though.”

Unable to stop himself, he matched the smile. 

“Want to go and sit in that coffee shop over there for a while? You can still see the lights and I can regain some feeling in my feet.”

He couldn’t believe his luck tonight! He had gone out expecting to be extremely disappointed in the display this year since his parents weren’t with him to keep his mood alive. His father would always crack obscene jokes about the amount of lights on a house relating to someone’s “ego” while his mother would simply giggle and cling to his father, happy to listen to him prattle on. They were always so happy together, so in love, that Arturo couldn’t help but grin, the white of his teeth matching the intensity of the lights. He didn’t know what he was going to do without them by his side, but Law had proven quite humble company. 

At first, he didn’t seem too keen on speaking with Arturo, but as he rambled on and on, Law engaged with him. They had zig-zagged their way across the city, detouring down some of the side roads, which were decorated so beautifully that his jaw had almost gone slack at some of the houses they passed. But sadly, their time together was coming to an end. They had already made it back to the city center, right underneath the gigantic tree with its astounding and illuminated red star. He was about to bid his partner farewell and thank him for the wonderful time, but Law chose to spoke up instead. 

His grin remained firmly on his face at the other’s suggestion. He glanced over to the coffee shop across the street, noticing that it wasn’t as packed as he expected it to be. He wondered why as there was a rather large sign out front advertising that their hot chocolate was only $1 per cup. Nevertheless, he was more than excited to continue this night. It truly was a Christmas miracle! Not only had he gotten to enjoy the lights as always, but it looked like he had finally made a friend as well. Mother and Father would be overjoyed to hear his recounting of this splendid night. 

Not even thinking about it, his hand instinctively reached down to grip Law’s own in a light grip. He sent him a smile over his shoulder. 

“Let’s go!” he chimed, eagerly pulling the other towards the shop before it became too crowded.

Christmas Smut Starters - Accepting!

“Was that supposed to be a challenge?” he remarked smoothly as his eyes raked over her prone form. 

He hadn’t know much about this so-called Christmas, but Maka had eagerly explained it to him a few weeks back as the cold month of December rolled in. He didn’t particularly understand the humane need for holidays, but he thought the town did look rather nice covered in glittering lights and decorations of all sizes. Maka had been rather disappointed though as it hadn’t been a white Christmas, but nevertheless, her home shone the brightest on the street. She had even let him help string some of the lights and place the blow-ups. She had put her tree up on the very first day of the month, and he had helped her decorate that as well with shiny baubles and trinkets. She had insisted that he stay the night on Christmas Eve and wake up with her in the morning to open his present. He couldn’t refuse even if he did feel bad for not getting her anything in return. 

That’s how they had found themselves here in her bedroom late Christmas Eve with nothing to do and hands itching to explore. There had been an abandoned box of Christmas lights in the corner of her room, extras that she had nowhere to hang, and for some reason, she had sauntered up over to them, pulled out the coil to order to wrap it around her arm, and looked back at him with a sultry curl of her lips and a mischievous glint in her eyes. 

“I bet you can’t tie me to the bed with the Christmas lights,” she had proclaimed, and of course, it was his duty to prove her wrong.

He glanced back over his masterpiece, his tongue lazily poking out to dab at his parched lips. He had started by undressing her with feather-like touches, never lingering in one spot for long. When she had laid nude in all her glory on the bed for him, he had to shake his head to keep the task at hand in mind; she was too tempting for her own good. He began with her arms, lifting them up to bind them above her head. He strung the lights along the headboard, tying her wrists to the posts. She had squirmed underneath him, giggling under her breath, and he too felt a whimsical air about them, butterflies in his stomach. 

He had straddled her, fully-clothed, as he went about wrapping the lights around both shoulders snugly.
