just a thought, but perhaps figuring out im a lesbian has been so delayed and unexpected for me because im starting to realise im a butch attracted to other butches and gnc women. and i could convince myself of attraction to a certain type of men, who werent yk feminine or something. i was “attracted” to men who had a lil “old time-y gentleman” vibe, kind lumberjack energies, and such. basically i was trying to make myself attracted to men while seeking the vibe of butches and gnc women in them.

i could never relate to how a lot of lesbians were “attracted” to feminine men before they realised theyre lesbians, and i guess i understand now why
