A Friday spent documenting the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding area
Current view of the Golden Gate Bridge. iPhone photo - large format photos coming soon

Duck Hunt - Los Banos, California
Sunset over SF Bay Area
I feel like my photography has been very rigid lately, so I figured I'd go for a hike and try something different - I only brought my 50mm w/me, and shot wide open at f1.2 for landscapes... It was it really fun to play w/lens flares and made me think a little differently than I normally do (always a good thing in my opinion!)
I am so excited to shoot Caity and Nathans wedding this November! I shot her sister Colby's wedding last summer, and had so much fun watching Caity be Maid of honor of the year (Colby's got quite a legacy to live up to now). Thanks for a great engagement session you two!
Backyard hiking
This is from a little hike my wife and I took behind our house last weekend - I am really trying to shoot more everyday scenes.
Now that wedding season is over...
After shooting like 30+ weddings this season (many of them working for the always wonderful Kelly Boitano) I have had the free time to return to where I started in the photography world - nature and landscapes! I visited Natural Bridges State Beach last week to photograph the Monarch Butterflies that just arrived (if you've never seen them in their natural habitat, it is such an amazing sight!), and then went down to the beach to photograph the sunset. And before stuffing myself full of turkey and apple pie for Thanksgiving, I went camping down in Big Sur and got to experience both the majestic redwoods as well as the sea cliffs and beaches there! Overall, quite and exciting past week or two!!
Colby + Doug
I had the privilege of shooting my friend and co-worker Colby's wedding over the summer, and it was sooo much fun! I got to see a couple so crazy in love with each other, and a group of friends and family that put on such a great party - what a blast! It was also super fun shooting with my friend and assistant for the day - Casey Johnson
Some guy decided it'd be a good idea to knock over a power line the other day, so our power was out for the afternoon. I used my newfound spare time to play around a little bit more with the new macro lens in my makeshift 5 minute studio. It's a trip shooting at f5.6 and having like 10 cm of depth of field!
Upstate New York
My wife and I went to the East Coast back in June, and spent some time with my family in upstate New York (around Albany, in case you were wondering). It was so nice to be on vacation - it felt like forever since we last took one! It was also a great excuse to try out my new macro lens - it opens up the world in a whole new way that I would have never imagined! I'm still not sure if I'll ever really understand the intricacies of the macro world, but it sure is fun!
Brett + Kristy
Wow, I can't believe how long it's been since I posted anything - I am a terrible blogger!! It's been a crazy busy wedding season already... Here is one of the first weddings from early June - Brett + Kristy. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding in Napa at V. Sattui Winery, and getting ready shots at Harvest Inn.
Nick + Mara
Shot as a second shooter for Kelly Boitano
Tom + Callie
My wife nannies for these two adorable kids! They live on a huge farm outside of town, and I went out there late in the Fall to take some pics of them for their parents. They are the most happy and fun kids in the world!
Sam + Renu
Shot as a second shooter for Kelly Boitano
This wedding was absolutely gorgeous! It took place at Terra art gallery in San Francisco, and it was beautiful - the floral arrangements were nothing short of spectacular, and every guest was dressed to impress!
