Reunions

Mary had been rescued as her ship had been in distress off the shores of France as she was returning from a visit to her cousin Elizabeth.  She had been on better terms with the woman as of late, and yet her vessel had been damaged by another rogue Spanish vessel.  Her crew killed and she would have been slain herself when yet a man and his crew had rescued her.   Explaining that she would be able to pay him respect and gratitude for what he had done to save her life, Mary was greatfull for him offering her safe passage for the rest of the journey back to the castle. Even when they reached the port, it was still a 2 day journey on foot or 8 hours ride on horses.  It seemed there was much more time to their journey till land as yet was not in sights of the vision sought.  All she saw was open sea.  She had been offered the Captains cabin during her stay and she was great full for his gracious hospitality. Even when they had never laid eyes on each other before.  Although, he did seem like an honorable man who had seen some harsh events the past few years, and yet the kindness in his tenor showed each time they conversed words with each other.   That night she was sitting by the fire in the cabin when she turned to see the door opened. Not even a full day since the events that had lead to her becoming a temporary visitor on the ship. She saw someone come into the room seeing Francis. "Fran...Francis"She said standing up and hugging him. Very grateful that to see him. Not knowing that the idea was to kill her and send word she was dead so that the crown was available to anyone who could conquer Scotland first.
