AS reinvents Scott as having lived on a farm seemingly with a community, but I don’t think so. The evidence for this is that Scott’s family lives in a beat down, unclean home with broken windows and infestation. I think that this is made possible due to isolation and lack of support. They have no community beyond each other so it’s a self-perpetuating cycle. I think that they either live in complete isolation or the community is very small, poor and generally avoids Scott’s family. I can’t envision a world where Scott is living on a thriving, well-tended farm with animals he looks after. If that was the case, they wouldn’t be so poor. Their home wouldn’t be presented that way.

I consider Scott to have Antisocial Personality Disorder. I think that he will unfortunately never be diagnosed and successfully treated though and that is fully attributed to the environment he grew up in. Scott is deeply ableist, I think he considers himself to be above any kind of mental health condition. I think he has a personality disorder as well as disordered eating (pica) due to the extreme poverty he grew up in.
