“One of those will be nice. I’ll be sure to tell Reagan. She would make him get us one.”
“There you go, she stole your man, but in return we get a toaster oven.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“I will be sure to pass along the message.”
“Especially a toaster oven. I’ve always wanted one of those.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“It’s Nate. He would have found a way.”
“I believe it. Well I’m sure he’ll get over it eventually. Though if he wanted to buy us some sort of kitchen appliance, I wouldn’t stop him.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“Upset that he can’t be best man.”
“Would he want to be? He wouldn’t be the center of attention as the best man.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“You know Nate is going to be very upset, right?”
“upset that you’re not getting married?”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“It’s always just seemed sort of arbitrary to me. If you know you’re going to love someone forever, why does more need to be added to it?”
“Exactly. I don’t need a bit ceremony, or rings to show other people that Im in love. I know it, you know it... that’s all the matters.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“Not really. I mean, I get why people do it. For some people it feels good to have something a little more than just being together, but I never saw the use.”
“Great. I know some people want it and they have dream weddings and whatnot but I never cared for the idea. It’s just not my cup of tea. Maybe someday that will change and I’ll be overwhelmed with the need for a white dress but... I don’t think so.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“I can’t sing like Nate can, but don’t worry. I wasn’t going to propose.”
“Good.... You’re not the marriage type either... right?”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“You’re not just dying to be Mrs. Karofsky-Smythe?”
“No. I like being Ms. Duval. So if you had any plans to propose, I suggest you don’t. Besides, you could never plan a musical number as spectacular as the one Nate did.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“Well that is always comforting to know. You’re not wanting all of that, are you? You know, the wedding and that stuff.”
“Honestly? No. I’ve got no interest in big weddings, or small weddings. I don’t care to be Mrs. Anyone. Commitment is alright and I enjoy the idea of being with someone for life but I don’t think a ceremony and rings are necessary.
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“I would hope not. Like, if you’ve ever slept with Vik keep it to yourself. I’m fine being oblivious. I’m not normally the jealous type, but you seem to check all my exception boxes.”
“I adore Vik like a brother and even in Australia, sexual attraction to one’s siblings is considered wrong. It’s considered a step below sexual attraction to dingoes.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“He’s important to you so I’m not going to do anything to him.”
“Thank you for that. He is to me what Nate is to you... but not quite as attached.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“Maybe I can get some tips from your dad. I have a few people that I need to take out and before you start questioning me, no Vik isn’t one of them…yet.”
“Somehow I don’t believe you, but I don’t want to know, then when the cops come question me, I can tell them I know nothing.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“I wouldn’t make a good murderer so that’s off the table.”
“You could hire someone to do it. That wouldn’t be difficult. And that’s definitely happened in lifetime movies. My dad is obsessed with them. He records a bunch of them and has marathons.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“She’s a homewrecker, that one. Stole Nate right from under me.”
“You’re a lifetime movie waiting to happen.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“We avoided it when possible. What can I say, Nate and I have been attached at the hip since we were practically born. Then Reagan just had to steal him away.”
“To think, if not for her, you could be Mr. St James right now.”
cris-karofsky-smythe:
“Even I can admit that was way too much time to think I could last without Nate.”
“You’ve been on separate vacations, right? I thought that would help with the separating anxiety, go figure.”
