Vampire Au, Lorraine as a Vamp

The panicked breaths of many can be heard when The Hunt begins. The rapid sound of feet hitting wet earth and hearts and lungs straining for steps, for distance.

The Hunt was a special time for those fortunate to be the hunters. It allowed them to possibly catch free prey, skipping the hefty task of finding on yourself.

The prey, hand picked, were unfortunate. Death seemed to be more a mercy than the fate that they'd faced if caught. A living blood bag, possibly more.

Artemis ran through the woods quietly. Mentally commanding the foliage to make a path for him, hide him away. Trying to connect with nature to cause animals to gather around to hide his scent better

He was a Dhampir, one who…. For as long as he could remember had lived on the streets amongst normal humans. He actually thought he was a normal human for a while, at least until recently when his abilities had awoken…. Not by much, no. The human blood still overpowered anything he might’ve been able to do, had he known for longer- or had he inherited more from his vampiric side….

But it was enough time to train, to try to learn how to use SOME abilities…. But with them came a big growth spurt- part of the reason he was selected for the hunt. What vampire could resist a human so big? One who could provide quite an amount of food if caught? Or something else….

He tried his best to muffle his breathing as he ran- deeper and deeper into the woods, ducking behind bushes from time to time as he was alerted by the voice of hunters carrying through the wind-

Trying desperately to blend into the shadows only to give up halfway, too much energy spent trying to force connection.

He ran and ran and ran-

Until he got so tired- he’d slipped into the first hiding spot he could find, tired mind not registering the small cut the bark of the tree had caused on his hand.

A pair of eyes glowed lightly in the dark. Lorraine move slowly through the tree, allowing her fingers to run over the bark.

She could smell the spiced blood that barely wiped in the air. This why she preferred to hunt on the ground- higher chances of running into small scrapes of scratches and different smells.

She hadn’t done a hunt in a few years, her old blood bag secretly starving themself to death. Causing her to attend the hunting event. Yet her skills were still just as sharp, if not more. She followed the spiced smell until she found a small dry droplet of blood on a jagged tree. Sharp claws dug into the trunk of the the, ripping it out and bringing it to her lips. licking the dried blood with a hum of excitement.

Her pupils blew wide,

“Found youuuu~🎶🎶”

She softly sing to herself in a low voice. She hadn’t found him just yet but now she was in his mind.

“I was told told there was someone special.”

A soft voice echoed in his mind as if being whispered into his ear.

He tensed, freezing up in panic. Eyes already darting for another escape as he looked at his hands, wincing quietly when he finally noticed the scratch. He hurriedly tried to cover it with leaves, stumbling back onto his legs and trying to sneak out to book it again. Mentally trying to make his body blend into the shadows (it was a half-assed attempt at best, he still couldn’t figure out how to sink into them).

He tried to sneak past through the bushes, stopping them from moving as he skulked into them. And then mentally, he called on the nearest deer- making it step on a twig a few meters AWAY from where he was

“Oooh and he’s smart”

The voice sweetly echoed. A giggle could be heard before two eyes appeared ahead of his. One a beautiful powder blue and the other a rich gold.

“Boo”

She hummed, giving him a smile, her long fangs glinting in the moons light.

She stood there, a rather smaller woman, especially compared to him. Her skin sickly pale and light freckles decorated her cheeks. She wore a dark grey dress with dark pink lancing.

A thick dark pink ribbon was wrapped around her neck, hiding the cross branded into the skin. It kept her in this silly human form.

Her long wavy brown hair pulled back with the same tpye of ribbon.

“They did tell me they added younger prey. “ she walked a little closer to him.

“The last hunt I did, they only had the older folks.”

She pouted

“How cruel to waste such a young life”

He tensed, backing up and breathing heavily- likely pretty tired from all the running earlier too. His eyes darted around, trying to find an escape— going to the tree she was standing next to, he exerted effort to make its branches try to snatch her up as he turned to run again. Making an animal call to alert some wolves nearby (who perked up, running over) and make them use their scent to get rid of his as he ducked into another big bush to travel faster, forcing his legs to move faster than they should as he continued to run. Also exerting effort into communicating telepathically with any animal and plant he could reach to block off his path and to make dupe ‘block-offs’ to confuse the one chasing him

“Tsk… I guess not so smart” she hummed watching him run. “Oh but this will be fun” she smiled a little, allowing herself to fall into her mind. To restate his blood on her lips and reach into his own mind.

“I don’t appreciate this welcoming… Artemis”

The voice was sweet but brought pain. Like fingers digging into the grey matter of his brain.

“I was try to be nice. And you ran away, that not every gentlemanly” it snarled

The howl of wolves picked up before going completely silent.

The forest seeming to go stil.

“Turn round….She’s better then the rest I’ve heard”

A male voice spoke in his mind, the voice feeling familiar yet he didn’t know how. Yet a shot of cold went through his leg, causing the muscles to tighten and freeze up, having him hit the earthy floor.

Images of mauled bodies flashed in his mind. Of a vampire for torchuring a young woman in a tree. Another ripping out a throat. Of limbs and chains.

“Stayyyy”

The voice said again

He panted, trying to kickstart his leg into moving again, yet failing to do so. He tried to force himself to stand- but couldn’t. Seeing as they were useless now- he willed a bush nearby to cover him and crawled closer into the foliage, teeth gritted to avoid making any noise.

His eyes dilated briefly as he looked up, trying to scan his surroundings

She appeared from no where, kneeling down next to him. Running a soft hand through his hair.

“Is so pretty.”

She smiled and hummed. Her smile was oddly kind and sweet. Like she wasn’t hunting him like a pheasant.

“I’ll be so so so good to you Vogel (Birdie)”

She smiled widely, fangs sharp and on display. She carefully unwrapped the ribbon from around her hair and tied it around his neck. It wasn’t tight, just a marking that he was hers.

Cold hands cupped his cheeks as another paralyzing shiver went through his limbs. Her thumbs rubbed the bales of his cheeks in a soothing manner.

“Shhhh you’ll be safe mei Vogel (my bird)”

He flinched, eyes widening in panic before his body started to slump…. Relaxing against his will as the voice echoed in his head. He WAS about to pass out before a sudden jolt hit his brain and he snarled- biting down on her hand hard- enough to pierce the flesh. His eyes dilating and glowing dimly as he glared up at her, brows furrowed- yet eyes wide

She hissed, her peaceful face contorting into one of anger and pain. Yet something swirled in her eyes, like her insanity was dancing with the pain.

“Ooooh iz ze birdie hungry?”

A thick German accent appear from seemingly no where.

Cold fingers gripped his head and pulled it back painfully. She lifted her bitten thumb and squeezed. Allowing red,sweet blood, to drip into his mouth.

“Chu could have asked Darlinggg.” She hummed, squeezing harder to have more blood coat his mouth.

She tsked like a mother would. “Don’t vorry darlinggg~ you won’t turn or change…I have made zure of zat.”

She hummed. She had made sure to not activate his vampire side. Just enough blood to ‘wet his whistle’ or really, to just gross him out.

“Now sleeep”

He choked slightly, grimacing and trying to shut his mouth. Gritting his teeth as he tried to resist, his eyes remained dilated- yet eventually went back to normal as the command reached his ears. Body relaxing reluctantly once more before slumping in his hold as his brain went mushy and he passed out

“Good bird” she hummed. A sweet, yet crazed smile in her lips.

“Just sleeep~”her sing song voice filled his years. His body softly being lifted with the flick of her rest. It was like he was floating on the cloud.

She hums as she made her ways threw the woods and back to the start. She had no team took over her catch, not that she needed one.

He made a small noise, mind actively trying to fight against control- yet, failing. All he could manage was a small twitch before his body stopped moving again

The next time he woke up he was in a bedroom. It was… quant. A soft green rug is placed on top of an old worn wooden floor. He laid on top of a soft, sink worthy, twin-sized bed with a thick quilt. A mahogany closet, a window with a white pull curtain, and a small fireplace that seemed to produce heat with no wood, coal, or oil sat in the the room. A separate door like a bathroom to his left.

But more importantly, he had a chain around his ankle and hand. Allowing him to move around the room but not leave.

He tensed, looking around in confusion and immediately panicking, he -once more- tried to disappear or travel through shadow but failed and ended up flat on his back on the bed again. Breathing a bit fast as he tugged at the chains, a small whine leaving him

There was a soft knock on the door yet no time to answer as she walked in. A calm smile on her deathly pale face.

“Shhh bird you’re okay” she hummed, smiling brightly but in false comfort, her fangs showing.

“Relax… breath” the voice whispered in his head.

“New cage, ja?” She hummed, moving around “tried to make it comfortable.” She grumbles, a finger running over the bureau to check for dust

He’d flinch, eyeing her warily with a scowl as he checked over his clothes- trying to see if they changed or not. But he also kept glancing at her, wary and on edge. “A cage is a cage no matter its appearance-“ he muttered out quietly in disdain as he glared at her, grey eyes a bit more vibrant now than last night- yet also no longer glowing

He was in the same clothes, surprisingly. At the same time, she reached into the dresser and pulled out a new set of clothes. “I do not know if they will fit but” she shrugged “make adjustments when needed.

“I suppose so” she turned to face him “yet many, MANY, cages are worse. Do you understand bird”

Images of horror flashed in his mind as if to provide proof. Yet were gone as soon as they showed.

He flinched at the imagery, blinking his eyes and shaking his head. His scowl faltered but he still glared slightly as he grumbled, grabbing the clothes hesitantly to check over them. He tugged at the sleeves he was currently wearing uncomfortably, glancing up at her from time to time “…. Mind at least giving me some privacy?”

She snorts. As if he had anything she’d desire, humans were funny creatures.

“So silly you are birdie” her voice hummed in his head sweetly.

“Of courses” she hummed, leaving the room.

A dark pink ribbon sat onto of the clothes. A clear indicator he was expect to tie it around his neck.

Getting a bit more angry, but forcing himself to calm as he took his clothes off- wincing slightly as the brand on his back (yet to heal fully) brushed against the fabric. “Good. It will keep you safe”

The voice echoed in his mind as the ribbon was tied. It sounds like yo… human. Emotions lacing the masculine tone

A breeze blew the curtains at the window. It was open, and the field sat outside. A graveyard father out.

“Why are you in pain?” A voice asked through the door. She was standing there, waiting to be allowed back in. “I have not fed and no one else should have either” her voice hissed. “What happened” it was demand more than a question to know.

The door creaked open and her eyes glowed slightly. The bright blue seeming to illuminate that side of her face.

“My last human lasted many many years.” she hummed moving away, though quickly fixing the ribbon on his neck. Puffing out the bow to make it cute, a shit-eating grin on her face.

“You'll have to forgive your clothes. I expected to catch a woman like last time, an older one too.” she hummed, seeming to float to the open window, eyes locking on the graveyard. Pale fingers playing with the necklace on her neck. “I will bring you to town with me. You need clothes that fit.”

A stone statue on angel moved around the room, placing small glass medicine bottles with liquids on shelves. It's movements sound like small pebbles.

He was hesitant yet followed her, nonetheless. He watched the statue in curiosity, head tilting slowly

She patted a chair as the counter, a sign for him to take a seat.

She busied herself making tea, the statue moving around behind her, organizing and putting away bottles.

“This is Gabriel. “ looking over her shoulder at the statue before moving to its “We have many friends here, pay them no mind” she hummed, looking at the statue as if it were a person. “They only request for you to stay out of their garden ….. and don’t touch their toys” she added. She poured Artemis tea.

“we are working on our sharing skill, ja?” She whispered to him, a smile cracking her lips. The statue let out a creaking sound similar to a laughs.

She moved to the sink,washing her hands.

“Ja. Many of our friends are children. We are waiting for a cure for certain illnesses before they turn flesh again.” She hummed, shrugging.

She seemed to flutter around a lot, the statue swaying,tipping and stepping out of her way. She plucked certain leaves from a plant, crunching the in her fingers and smelling.

“A few are adults, like Micheal.” She dropped the leaves in a pot the hung over the fire. “They are here for other reasons” she talked mindlessly, like explaining the weather

“Artemis” she hummed, moving to the sink and washing her hands of the herbs.

“You are free to roam my land.” The words dropped like stones. The unexpected.

“When you reach the forest line, you will stopand not try to venture in.” the statue turn to him, stone face ‘looking’ at his.

“ Try to escape through it-“ her eyes turned to him “and I will lock you in your room to rot and be a blood bag only.” her voice dripped with the threat.

She turned back to the sink. “I will need you every other day.” she turned the sink off.

“You will not ever be lonely here Artemis.” She said looking at him. “You will see many people come and go for medicines. You are welcome to talk to them, just do not drag them into this. “ she gestures to the ribbon on his neck.

Images of mauled bodies flashed in his mind. Of a vampire for torchuring a young woman in a tree. Another ripping out a throat. Of limbs and chains.

He panted, trying to kickstart his leg into moving again, yet failing to do so. He tried to force himself to stand- but couldn’t. Seeing as they were useless now- he willed a bush nearby to cover him and crawled closer into the foliage, teeth gritted to avoid making any noise.

His eyes dilated briefly as he looked up, trying to scan his surroundings

She appeared from no where, kneeling down next to him. Running a soft hand through his hair.

“Is so pretty.”

She smiled and hummed. Her smile was oddly kind and sweet. Like she wasn’t hunting him like a pheasant.

“I’ll be so so so good to you Vogel (Birdie)”

She smiled widely, fangs sharp and on display. She carefully unwrapped the ribbon from around her hair and tied it around his neck. It wasn’t tight, just a marking that he was hers.

Cold hands cupped his cheeks as another paralyzing shiver went through his limbs. Her thumbs rubbed the bales of his cheeks in a soothing manner.

She tsked like a mother would. “Don’t vorry darlinggg~ you won’t turn or change…I have made zure of zat.”

But more importantly, he had a chain around his ankle and hand. Allowing him to move around the room but not leave.

A stone statue on angel moved around the room, placing small glass medicine bottles with liquids on shelves. It's movements sound like small pebbles.

She busied herself making tea, the statue moving around behind her, organizing and putting away bottles.

“This is Gabriel. “ looking over her shoulder at the statue before moving to its “We have many friends here, pay them no mind” she hummed, looking at the statue as if it were a person. “They only request for you to stay out of their garden ….. and don’t touch their toys” she added. Vampire Au, Lorraine as a Vamp

The panicked breaths of many can be heard when The Hunt begins. The rapid sound of feet hitting wet earth and hearts and lungs straining for steps, for distance.

The Hunt was a special time for those fortunate to be the hunters. It allowed them to possibly catch free prey, skipping the hefty task of finding on yourself.

The prey, hand picked, were unfortunate. Death seemed to be more a mercy than the fate that they'd faced if caught. A living blood bag, possibly more.

Artemis ran through the woods quietly. Mentally commanding the foliage to make a path for him, hide him away. Trying to connect with nature to cause animals to gather around to hide his scent better

He was a Dhampir, one who…. For as long as he could remember had lived on the streets amongst normal humans. He actually thought he was a normal human for a while, at least until recently when his abilities had awoken…. Not by much, no. The human blood still overpowered anything he might’ve been able to do, had he known for longer- or had he inherited more from his vampiric side….

But it was enough time to train, to try to learn how to use SOME abilities…. But with them came a big growth spurt- part of the reason he was selected for the hunt. What vampire could resist a human so big? One who could provide quite an amount of food if caught? Or something else….

He tried his best to muffle his breathing as he ran- deeper and deeper into the woods, ducking behind bushes from time to time as he was alerted by the voice of hunters carrying through the wind-

Trying desperately to blend into the shadows only to give up halfway, too much energy spent trying to force connection.

He ran and ran and ran-

Until he got so tired- he’d slipped into the first hiding spot he could find, tired mind not registering the small cut the bark of the tree had caused on his hand.

A pair of eyes glowed lightly in the dark. Lorraine move slowly through the tree, allowing her fingers to run over the bark.

She could smell the spiced blood that barely wiped in the air. This why she preferred to hunt on the ground- higher chances of running into small scrapes of scratches and different smells.

She hadn’t done a hunt in a few years, her old blood bag secretly starving themself to death. Causing her to attend the hunting event. Yet her skills were still just as sharp, if not more. She followed the spiced smell until she found a small dry droplet of blood on a jagged tree. Sharp claws dug into the trunk of the the, ripping it out and bringing it to her lips. licking the dried blood with a hum of excitement.

She softly sing to herself in a low voice. She hadn’t found him just yet but now she was in his mind.

Making an animal call to alert some wolves nearby (who perked up, running over) and make them use their scent to get rid of his as he ducked into another big bush to travel faster, forcing his legs to move faster than they should as he continued to run. Also exerting effort into communicating telepathically with any animal and plant he could reach to block off his path and to make dupe ‘block-offs’ to confuse the one chasing him

“Tsk… I guess not so smart” she hummed watching him run. “Oh but this will be fun” she smiled a little, allowing herself to fall into her mind. To restate his blood on her lips and reach into his own mind.

The panicked breaths of many can be heard when The Hunt begins. The rapid sound of feet hitting wet earth and hearts and lungs straining for steps, for distance.

The Hunt was a special time for those fortunate to be the hunters. It allowed them to possibly catch free prey, skipping the hefty task of finding on yourself.

The prey, hand picked, were unfortunate. Death seemed to be more a mercy than the fate that they'd faced if caught. A living blood bag, possibly more.

Artemis ran through the woods quietly. Mentally commanding the foliage to make a path for him, hide him away. Trying to connect with nature to cause animals to gather around to hide his scent better

He was a Dhampir, one who…. For as long as he could remember had lived on the streets amongst normal humans. He actually thought he was a normal human for a while, at least until recently when his abilities had awoken…. Not by much, no. The human blood still overpowered anything he might’ve been able to do, had he known for longer- or had he inherited more from his vampiric side….

But it was enough time to train, to try to learn how to use SOME abilities…. But with them came a big growth spurt- part of the reason he was selected for the hunt. What vampire could resist a human so big? One who could provide quite an amount of food if caught? Or something else….

He tried his best to muffle his breathing as he ran- deeper and deeper into the woods, ducking behind bushes from time to time as he was alerted by the voice of hunters carrying through the wind-

Trying desperately to blend into the shadows only to give up halfway, too much energy spent trying to force connection.

He ran and ran and ran-

Until he got so tired- he’d slipped into the first hiding spot he could find, tired mind not registering the small cut the bark of the tree had caused on his hand.

A pair of eyes glowed lightly in the dark. Lorraine move slowly through the tree, allowing her fingers to run over the bark.

She could smell the spiced blood that barely wiped in the air. This why she preferred to hunt on the ground- higher chances of running into small scrapes of scratches and different smells.

She hadn’t done a hunt in a few years, her old blood bag secretly starving themself to death. Causing her to attend the hunting event. Yet her skills were still just as sharp, if not more. She followed the spiced smell until she found a small dry droplet of blood on a jagged tree. Sharp claws dug into the trunk of the the, ripping it out and bringing it to her lips. licking the dried blood with a hum of excitement.

Her pupils blew wide,

She softly sing to herself in a low voice. She hadn’t found him just yet but now she was in his mind.

“I was told told there was someone special.”

He tensed, freezing up in panic. Eyes already darting for another escape as he looked at his hands, wincing quietly when he finally noticed the scratch. He hurriedly tried to cover it with leaves, stumbling back onto his legs and trying to sneak out to book it again. Mentally trying to make his body blend into the shadows (it was a half-assed attempt at best, he still couldn’t figure out how to sink into them).

He tried to sneak past through the bushes, stopping them from moving as he skulked into them. And then mentally, he called on the nearest deer- making it step on a twig a few meters AWAY from where he was

“Oooh and he’s smart”

The voice sweetly echoed. A giggle could be heard before two eyes appeared ahead of his. One a beautiful powder blue and the other a rich gold.

“Boo”

She hummed, giving him a smile, her long fangs glinting in the moons light.

She stood there, a rather smaller woman, especially compared to him. Her skin sickly pale and light freckles decorated her cheeks. She wore a dark grey dress with dark pink lancing.

A thick dark pink ribbon was wrapped around her neck, hiding the cross branded into the skin. It kept her in this silly human form.

Her long wavy brown hair pulled back with the same tpye of ribbon.

“They did tell me they added younger prey. “ she walked a little closer to him.

“The last hunt I did, they only had the older folks.”

He tensed, backing up and breathing heavily- likely pretty tired from all the running earlier too. His eyes darted around, trying to find an escape— going to the tree she was standing next to, he exerted effort to make its branches try to snatch her up as he turned to run again. Making an animal call to alert some wolves nearby (who perked up, running over) and make them use their scent to get rid of his as he ducked into another big bush to travel faster, forcing his legs to move faster than they should as he continued to run. Also exerting effort into communicating telepathically with any animal and plant he could reach to block off his path and to make dupe ‘block-offs’ to confuse the one chasing him

“Tsk… I guess not so smart” she hummed watching him run. “Oh but this will be fun” she smiled a little, allowing herself to fall into her mind. To restate his blood on her lips and reach into his own mind.

He panted, trying to kickstart his leg into moving again, yet failing to do so. He tried to force himself to stand- but couldn’t. Seeing as they were useless now- he willed a bush nearby to cover him and crawled closer into the foliage, teeth gritted to avoid making any noise.

She appeared from no where, kneeling down next to him. Running a soft hand through his hair.

The next time he woke up he was in a bedroom. It was… quant. A soft green rug is placed on top of an old worn wooden floor. He laid on top of a soft, sink worthy, twin-sized bed with a thick quilt. A mahogany closet, a window with a white pull curtain, and a small fireplace that seemed to produce heat with no wood, coal, or oil sat in the the room. A separate door like a bathroom to his left.

But more importantly, he had a chain around his ankle and hand. Allowing him to move around the room but not leave.

{4 am. Enemy lines. Forested region.}

[Daggers been watching as the two teams fought, trying to find a way through the constant gunfire to get to his injured teammate and time is running out. Daggers makes a run for it despite the danger and sergeant Owl watches as the enemy medic runs from his cover towards another about 20 feet away. He also watches the medic damn near get hit before slipping and skidding across the ground, it looked like a bad fall to say the least and the medic seemed to be struggling to get himself back up before he’s approached by another that’s on Owls team.
