if you’d told me last week that everyone was ditching tiktok in favor of the explicitly chinese version of the app, rednote, where they are welcomed as “tiktok refugees” and being taught mandarin by everyday chinese citizens (and helping kids with their english homework), I would’ve laughed in your face.
