Woah!!! Look! It's Cookie, Asher, and Moose from @xiaq 's "Like Real People Do" the rest of their Breakaway Series! These guys were like blank canvases when it comes to their design, which was really fun to work with. They don't have much description except for big, and, in Asher's case, blonde, so I got to have a lot of fun with them. I used this as an excuse to practice stuff like more expressive hand gestures and less basic hair, which was super fun. What're exactly are they supposed to be doing in this drawing? Who knows. Though I did draw Cookie with the mindset that he was 100% not listening to whatever Moose is yapping about and only thinking about what he was going to have for dinner later.

Sorry the quality of the photo is. Really shitty. Again, I'm in a constant uphill battle with Medibang to try and make it export my drawings better.

Couldn't resist doing this trend when I saw it on Tiktok. We are one, count 'em ONE (1) month away from the next book in this series and. guys. guys I'm so hyped. Also, I'm not entirely sure if the last slide comes across as what it's supposed to be. I'm not very good at drawing silhouettes, but I tried! Favorites?? I don't think I have 1 overall because trying to compare books to each other is like trying to compare the art of sculpting status and painting. Like 2 different medias bruh I CANNOT But some of my favorites include - Icebreaker and In Repair by Al Graziadei -LRPD and everything else written by El Massey (obviously) - AFTG series by Nora Sakavic - The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller If I had to pick one overall it'd probably be TSOA but that's mainly bc im one of those gay ppl thats obsessed with Greek Mythology. And you didn't ask for it but im giving it to you anyways, current LEAST favorite read is going out to Running With Lions by Julian Winters. Dear god I'm like 5 chapters in I hope this thing gets better it reads like bad fanfiction. I also enjoy writing!! Am I cooking something up? Very slowly. Probably not very well. But I am cooking! ...and bc ur cool I'll tell you im ALSO cooking something up drawing-wise. Kuzy related.. Perhaps.. a very short comic ... ? A collab with another artist ...? We shall see.

He's less of a dad like Jeff and more of a fun uncle, but I love him. He's also 100% the leader of the hockey-centered Russian mafia. I struggled waaayyy too much with trying to get how I imagined him into my head onto paper-(computer? art program?)- but in the end, I just went with the silliest, goofiest thing I could do because- if not Kuzy, then who? If anyone's a dumb blonde, it's Kuzy. If anyone would get distracted by butterflies during a press conference, it's Kuzy. If anyone would wear The gAy Team shirts unironically out and about, it's Kuzy. Or. You know. That's how I've always imagined him to be.

Sorry the quality kinda sucks. Medibang isn't exactly the most forgiving in that regard, but I absolutely refuse to change to a more complex one. CSP is scary!

Fanart I did of Jeff Cooper from @xiaq 's "Like Real People Do" and "Like You've Nothing Left to Prove". I love these books and especially Jeff, excluding the two MC's he's my favorite character. He's so sweet and soft and.,.,.,. I love him. It's been a hot second since I've drawn (been since last July, actually) so it's a bit rough but I'm happy with how it came out. Also I couldn't find any written description of Jeff in the books, so author, if you're reading this, sorry if he doesn't look the way he's supposed to LOL. I kinda just did how I always imagined him. I plan to do Kuzy next, and then the three goofball rookies (Moose, Cookie and Asher) and probably toss out some more of them as I get back into the swing of art. So... again, author, if you're reading this... send me their descriptions if you feel like it LOL. Or else I'm just gonna be taking shots in the dark, which is fine too.
