Hi! I just wanted everyone to know that this blog is not dead. I've had very low writing muse, and I'm trying to keep Cas alive the most at the moment. I have not lost interest in Rayna and will come back here when I feel like I can be.

Barnes’ metal grip on the book loosened only so much to not
cause further damage when the stranger covers her face with another book, storming off when he frowned. But there was no menacing look from his side. No indication of hostility that could have caused the other to retreat. So what was her reason for backing away?
( That’s when his expression dropped. )
The language she spoke, it must’ve been European. Something nordic. So what if she was aware of who and what he was? With the idea of her knowing something settled in his mind, 616 didn’t hesitate to follow.
Without a second thought at how he cringed only moments ago, Barnes stalked toward the table where the woman was settled, flat out planting both hands on the opposite side of the table to gain her attention.
There was nothing stealthy about this. Not in the least. And, frankly, he didn’t care for any terrified looks from the others at this place. What mattered now was to gain information.
“ Что ты знаешь? ”
Acting on impulse, the Soldier slipped into Russian before even considering she might not understand him. And the demanding sound in his voice did not make this any less unpleasant. When the response doesn’t suit his idea, Barnes leans closer. His chest was halfway hovering over the table when he repeats the question is in another language.
( Perhaps one she’d be more likely to understand. )
“ Was weißt du? ”
Rayna was about to drown in her pity cocktail, thank you very much, when the voice of someone else startled her out of her thoughts. She gets startled a second time when she sees it's the guy from before. Something is out to get her, she's sure of it.
"What?" she responds, slowly. She absently rubs her forehead. "I only speak Swedish and English."
Perhaps she shouldn't feel embarrassed if this guy is as much of an oddball as she is. Rayna doesn't understand why he's throwing random European languages her way. She tries not to stare at the arm she knows isn't an actual arm, though, she doesn't want to make this more awkward than it has to be.
"Do you speak English?"
Maybe if he didn't understand her in the first place, she has nothing to be embarrassed about.

Ezekiel isn’t sure if she can say she’s lost — she has no destination in mind or a specific place she should be in right now. However, after hitchhiking and walking aimlessly for hours, she has no idea of where she ended up in. The town that surrounds her does not look familiar and, despite the fact that knowing or not knowing where she is will make no difference, she doesn’t like feeling completely lost like that.
The fallen angel looks around for a moment before spotting a woman sitting on a bench and approaching her.
“Excuse me, could you tell me where I am? I think I am lost.”
Rayna glances up from the book labled simply C++ and frowns in mild curiosity. Her brows rise instead at the question, wondering how drunk this girl must have been the day before to not know where she is.
"Pytho, New York," she replies. "You know, the coastal industrial city that no one gives a crap about?"
She grins briefly. Rayna wonders if she's from a few towns over and just ended up here. There's not much to do in Pytho. There's a few clubs, and bars, of course. But nothing exciting. It's not her scene, but she hears it from her friends.
does anyone want a starter?? rayna demands attention
OPEN TO ALL
"FUCK."
Rayna slams her hand on the table, then drops her head on her keyboard. She has played the most difficult games in her lifetime, yet killing Duke Fishron in a silly pixel game called Terraria seems to be the worst thing that has ever happened to her.
She sits back up and runs a hand down her face. She probably shouldn't have gaming frustrations in the middle of a coffee shop.
tbh I'm currently really proud of my oc i mean i never feel that way about my own shit so you know this is a thing

as he hears the riffle go off, he picks up the pace. thankfully, the office door opens easier than the front door, and he sets a duffle bag down on the table. it’s filled with everything he needs to burn the bones once he finds them — salt, holy water, a touch of gasoline, and matches. next to the supply sits a hatchet, which he picks up and grips tightly. just as he’s about to start swinging at the floorboards, the ghost appears. her pale skin almost glows, knife wounds scattering her chest in a sickening pattern. hollow eyes narrow in on the hatchet before she lets out a bloodcurdling scream that rings violently in dean’s ears. not only does it impair his hearing, it sends ch il l s down his spine. he swings the hatchet at her, but she’s a powerfully vengeful spirit, and he can feel it as he’s thrown across the room.
that riffle would be useful right about now. he’s hit his head pretty hard on the wall, but dean is quick to scramble to his feet. he chops at the floor even after she grabs a hold of the collar of his shirt, pulling it back enough to choke him.
❝ kid— get—❞
Rayna made a grab for the riffle. She hugs it to her chest, and she notices she's trembling all over. Honestly, she had just wanted to study, grab something to eat, and go home. This is ridiculous.
She hears the guy from earlier, and honestly she's not too happy about it.
"Oh my god, come on."
With quick steps, she makes her way over to the library offices. When she's faced with the ghost again, she swears under her breath. She tries to aim the gun properly this time, and as she fires, she at least doesn't drop it, but she's pretty sure she might have nicked the guy.
"Sorry!" she splutters, quickly. "This is the first time I'm holding a gun!"

Individuals walked by the angel all bundled up on the cold, wintry
day. It rarely occurred to her that humans can experience different body temperatures as the weather changes. For her it was never any different while being on Earth.
As she continued wandering throughout the city, she suddenly noticed that she had no idea where she was going. Glancing around, Hannah tried to locate any familiar landmark she had grown accustomed to in the past few days but sadly wasn’t able to.
Hearing a voice behind her asking a question made the brunette turn around to face the girl with glasses.
❝ I am, but that is fine. You do not need to. ❞
Rayna offers the woman a light shrug, as she puts her hands in her pockets to keep them warm. She said it before and she'll say it again, winter sucks. Winter sucks very much.
"I wouldn't offer if I minded," she says.
There's something a little odd about this woman, but she can't really place what it is.
And you make jokes because you’re afraid to take anything seriously. Because if you take things seriously, they matter.

It's a cold December day. Rayna adjusts her scarf as she shivers against the cold. She really doesn't like the winter. But then again, she doesn't like the summer either. Can't the world just be at room temperature forever? That would solve everyone's problems.
She crosses the street when she notices another woman, looking a little bit lost. Rayna pauses and looks around her, before approaching her.
"Hey, you lost?" she asks. "I'm from here, if you need me to point you into the right direction."

he finds the door and tries to open it hurriedly as he hears a scream come from the other side. when the knob won’t give, he kicks the wood until it splinters, and it swings open at full tilt. dean’s been after this damn ghost for a week, so, of course it’s going to show up when he’s just about four blocks away, broken down and in a rush. he’s already huffing and puffing from the run — seeing the spirit latched onto a student doesn’t do much to improve his thus far shitty day. he fires a salt round in its’ general direction, careful not to harm the girl, and as it releases her and dissipates, he helps her up, eyes alert for the next attack.
❝ take this and get as far away as you can — go, now!❞
a loaded riffle is handed her way. he has no clue if she’s ever even used a gun, but all dean needs to do is get to the librarian’s office, where he’s almost positive the bones are hidden. it shouldn’t leave enough time for the girl to accidentally hurt herself.
The painful pull on her hair disappears as soon as she hears gun fire. She does her best not to hyperventilate, there's way too much going on at the moment. Rayna swears the thing that had a hold of her dissolved when hit by the gunshot.
She's barely on her feet before the man that saved her pushes the riffle in her hands. Her shaky, clumsy hands. Rayna's eyes grow at least 4 sizes larger.
"Are you fucking kidding me?"
But the guy seems to have better plans than to listen to her, as he's taking off to where the library offices are.
"Fuck."
Rayna clutches onto the weapon like it's her life force and makes her way to the broken doors. She has to just -- get out of here. If she makes it out she'll put the riffle where the guy can find it.
That's when that entity from before materializes itself before her again and she really can't catch a break, can she?
"Oh fuck," she hisses under her breath, aiming the riffle. It can't be that hard. People fire guns all the time.
Fire it she does, but she's not prepared for the recoil. Rayna lets out a shout as the riffle falls to the floor, and she's quite sure she injured her rib somehow. At least she hit it, though.
Rayna scrambles to pick up the riffle.
