Rayna wants to rip her own dreadlocks out of her head in frustration. She thought perhaps going to the local Pytho library would give her a fresh perspective on the coding. It really didn't, she can't figure out why it's not working. Usually it's a misplaced semi-colon or a spelling error, but she can't find any of that.
She takes a sip of her coffee and she decides a break is needed. Perhaps she can find a book she can read for a few hours and then get back to it. That should help shake the PHP off her brain for a little bit.
She slams her laptop shut and she puts it in her messenger bag carelessly. Rising from her seat, she moves towards the rows of books to find something that will entertain her for a few hours. Preferably not a thick book, she doesn't want to take books home with her. She always forgets to return them. Library fines are the worst.
Rayna stops next to a guy she doesn't know. She looks at the titles, not at him. Something catches the light in the corner of her eye, and it draws her attention. She sees a strip of metal, and she can hear a very faint mechanical noise at his movement to reach for a book.
"Oh my god," Rayna blurts out. "Is that a metal arm, that you can control? Holy shit -- that's so fucking cool!"
The words have left her mouth, and only after does she realize that might have been really rude.
"Shit -- sorry, that was probably really rude. I didn't mean it like that! I did mean it that it's cool, though. I wasn't thinking -- Sorry."
