Something, or someone, seemed to be hiding within the dark shadows of a barely used storage closet. He had been in here for a while, and no one had entered yet, so he just had to wait... -@scribbled-cloud
Soft humming came from outside the closet, as well as the noises that were characteristic of someone sweeping. Slowly, they approached, until it seemed like they were right outside of it.
âMm, that should do it!everything looks clean enough. Now I only need to put this away and close upâŚâ
The door to the storage closet opened, showing a tall bombhead, clad with employee clothes. He was about to put the broom away, until they spotted the creature amongst the cleaning supplies.
âUhâŚ. Hello? Are you awakeâŚ?â
Gabriel moved his hand over to whittyâs so he could take the bag.
Whitty wasted no time in slowly grabbing the bag and moving it out of Gabrielâs hands, some of his fluttering nerves calming down.
âAre you, uh⌠Still hungry?â
Heâd just pay for whatever the creature ate, no problem.
Gabriel thought for a moment, then nodded.

Something, or someone, seemed to be watching Raincloud from the shadows curiously. -@scribbled-cloud
The cloud was navigating the city's alleyways, exhausted. It was one of those days where that bomb seemed to completely evade him. It filled him with so much dread and worry and- Before he could start spiralling, though, he felt as though he was being watched. Raincloud looked around, holding firmly onto the gun in his hand. "..."
Gabriel made a quiet garbled noise as he continued to watch Raincloud, not moving from his spot in the shadows.

âUhâŚ. Hello? Are you awakeâŚ?â
Updike closed his eyes, letting out a distressed garbling noise as he slinked back more into the shadows. Well, as much as he could anyway.
âWoah! Iâm not here to hurt you little guy.â
The bombhead dropped the item he was holding, trying to appear as non-threatening as he possible could.
âDo you need something? Food, maybe? Iâm pretty sure I can sneak some awayâŚâ
Gabriel kept his eyes closed as he made more garbling noises.
âMmâŚâ
The bombhead left the supply closet, coming back with a bag of chips.
âDo you want these? I donât know if youâre hungryâŚâ
Gabriel slowly opened his eyes and looked at the bag of chips. He stared at whitty and the chips for a moment before slowly reaching a hand out to whitty.
Whitty carefully handed the bag of chips over to Gabriel, and just as carefully moved his hand away as to not startle them with any sudden movements.
â⌠Here you go.â
Gabriel opened the bag of chips, then glanced into the bag. A second later, he opened his mouth, which now made it visible, and also revealed his tongue and many sharp teeth.
He then started eating the chips from the bag.
Staring at the creatureâs teeth, Whitty was suddenly very glad that it hadnât been impatient and took him as a good enough substitute for a meal. Should he get another bag? Was the creature going to be fine with only one? They decided to wait and see, somewhat tense.
Once Gabriel finished the chips, he shut his mouth and held the bag in his claws, not sure what to do with it now.
âIâm just, uh, gonna take that from you now, little buddy⌠Please donât bite me-â
The bombhead reached out for the bag, painstakingly slow, a forced smile on their face. Maybe itâd be less likely to attack him if they did that?
Gabriel moved his hand over to whittyâs so he could take the bag.

A man went to the TGG building looking for updike. He wanted to talk to him.
-@scribbled-cloud
Updike was trying to prepare for his next mission. He was in his office trying to give himself a pep talk.
The man went up to the office and knocked on the door.
Updike jumped a bit before opening the door. "Hello?"
âHello, I have a dangerous creature that Iâd like to report.â
"Ah, of course. Come in. I was about to head out on a..personal mission of mine, but I'm sure I've got time." He stepped out of the doorway "take a seat and we can get started."
The man walked inside and sat down in the chair.
âso, where should I start?â
Updike closed the door and sat back behind his desk "First encounter with the anomaly in question. What did it do to you or the people around it? Full detail if you can."
The man nodded.
âWell, I actually happen to just stumble upon it. It was in the middle of lacerating someone with its huge claws. Then it tore out their guts and ate them! I couldnât stick around after that, so I ran off...â
"Oh my...where and when did you last see it? Do you think it left after you saw it?"
âI last saw it in an alleyway yesterday. I donât know if it left... It might be in the same spot? Iâm not sure...â
"Alright. Thank you for telling me this. You stay in the building, for now. Creatures that were spotted in the middle of a kill tend to want to..eliminate. The witness" he shudders, remembering when he met that..Jet creature. God that day still stuck in his mind.
He stood up, already prepared to take care of this thing. "I'll be back soon and will tell you when I've eliminated the threat." He walked out the door without another word. Heading downstairs and out of the building, getting into his truck and heading off, looking down any alleyways as he passed them to see if he could spot it.
Once Updike had left, the man had smiled a little.
Meanwhile, Gabriel was hiding away in the shadows of an alleyway, as he usually did. He made a soft garbled noise as he watched the rest of the world.

Now this had him stumped. What was this⌠creature? It looked like him to an extent but also⌠not. Updike furrows his brows. What was he to do in this situation? The other didnât⌠seem dangerous but how would he know for sure?
âUh. Hello?â
Gabriel stared at Updike as he tilted his head slightly. He made a garbled noise, sounding slightly curious.
âWhat are youâŚ.â
The question was soft, rather rhetorical as well. He wasnât asking- seemed like the other couldnât really respond either to what he was saying.
âCan you⌠speak?â
Well he wasnât entirely positive so maybe best to ask instead of making baseless assumptions. He knew better than to judge a book by its cover, after all.
Gabriel tilted his head the other way, then made another garbled noise.
They click their tongue softly.
âIâll take that as a no.â
Now this was something. If the other couldnât particularly speak⌠he knew ASL.. but maybe the other didnât. Maybe he could get some paper? Because otherwise this conversation would be one sided.
âmmmm⌠can you⌠write?â Hopefully the other would get the memo to respond in a way that was⌠easier to understand.
Gabriel tilted his head the other way again. Write? He had seen people write beforeâŚ
He nodded slowly.
He claps his hands together softly. Nodding.
âAlright.â He just pulls out a pen and a notepad from his pockets. Why does he have these things on him? No idea. Anyway he offers both objects to the other.
âSo itâs a little easier to talk back and forth.â
Gabriel straightens his head and stares at Updike nervously. People didnât like it when Gabriel got close. They would either attack him or run. But Updike hadnât done either yetâŚ
âGabriel slowly reached over and grabbed the notepad and pen from Updike.
As soon as he was positive the other had some kind of firm grip on the items, he slowly drops his hands, letting go. Fidgeting for a moment.
âSo, whatâs your name? I preferably go by Updike.â
Gabriel thought for a moment, sat down, then put the notepad down on the ground. He held the pen in his fist as he messily scribbled the name âGabrielâ onto the paper, applying a little bit more pressure than necessary as he wrote.
Huh. So⌠there were even more coincidences with this⌠werenât there. He bites the inside of his cheek for a moment.
âNice to meet you, Gabriel. Also might wanna be careful⌠ya donât need to write that hard or else you might break the pen and hurt yourself..â
His tone wasnât harsh, more like someone who was just trying to lend a hand more than anything.
Gabriel looked up at Updike and made a garbled noise.
âI canât understand ya⌠sorry. But Iâm just saying, try not to press down so hard, ok?â
Really heâs just concerned, not angry in the slightest or anything.
Which brought his mind back to full circle. This one was an anomaly, werenât they? And he still had no idea if they were dangerous or maybe people just feared them for appearance⌠the latter made sense in all honesty but the former was still something he needed to know. Did he really need to know? Or did he want reassurance that he wouldnât need to take another life?
Gabriel slowly nodded.
