Wip pinned. Tumblr shadowbanned me on @Triggcrhappy so I'll be posting Pico content on here, I just want my fucking blog to get un-shadowbanned besties đ
Do you like morally ambiguous cryptids? What about one that's just trying to live a normal life without their past coming back to haunt them? If this sounds like something you want more of, then im-not-evil-to-the-core might be the blog for you. Penned by mod Gible, and featuring a Friday Night Funkin' Whitty AU of an AU. AUception, if you will. OC, crossover and fandom friendly, reblogs are very much appreciated. Follows back from @exploding-jet.
Ah. Yo that's w i l d. She seemed to understand, at least to a degree, the metaphorical gears turning in their head as he explained. That made sense, didn't explain the why of it but explained it to a good degree.
"Ah I think I get it. Huh, sounds really wild tbh."
Another pause-
"Oh and I'm Sunday. What's your name?" Genuine question. And what still nagged her was the very vague similarities between that Updick guy and the other. They just didn't seem to wrap their head around it.
".... also this might sound a lil weird but you look so familiar it's a bit... off putting."
"I suppose so. It's as weird as being the embodiment of an emotion, though, so it's something I personally have stopped questioning."
Now that was a lie. He'd never stopped wondering, never stopped asking why, how. After all, he'd gone as far as to vivisect more than one immortal when they were not yet one, and it was one of the first things they did after assuming their new... Body, for lack of a better way to say it.
Sunday, then? An odd name, but he wasn't particularly that different from her in that subject. First Cirrus, and now Anani... Representative names, yes, but not the ones one would usually think about unless they were looking far too hard.
"I'm Anani. An odd name, yes, but I do believe you won't particularly be surprised at it."
He wasn't normal, not by a long shot. Had forsaken anything of the sort when they made that wish. Anani didn't seem too surprised at the mention of perceived familiarity; some Updike out there had to have met her.
"... No, I understand. I suppose you've met your universe's equivalent of me, then?"
Wasnât that some- religious name pertaining to a cloud?
Ya know what yeah seemed fitting enough as is. Although the question caused her brain to stutter, pausing for a moment.
âMy Whatâs What of you?â
Genuine question. This one doesnât leave the house unless for concerts or the occasional errands if Carol couldnât handle them so justâŠ
Their what?
Universe? Like those movie things? Is that what he meant? If that was it did that mean more of them? Carol? Whitty? And the other faces they would see from time to time? Like Pico-
"Oh huh... wild. I mean I'd believe, dunno why it happens but I guess that makes sense."
A pause between that. Huh. So he does feed on it but doesn't take? That's an interesting thing to think on. And yet they were still curious. They haven't been out and about to get to know things in a while. Their norm was all they knew-
Maybe a bit of change wouldn't be bad.
"So... the more curious someone is the better? If that's what I'm getting from this.."
He nodded nonchalantly; it wasn't like they'd been expecting any more helpful commentary from her part. Most anomalies didn't bother to find out much about their inner workings, like a patient going to a doctor. They described their symptoms, what they saw and felt. It was his job to delve deeper. Far more than just skin deep. His joy as well, to find out exactly what made them tick, leave nothing up to interpretation.
"In essence, yes. Immortals ares strengthened by the people around them feeling their emotion of choice, so, logically, the more of it there is, the better for said immortal."
Ah. Yo that's w i l d. She seemed to understand, at least to a degree, the metaphorical gears turning in their head as he explained. That made sense, didn't explain the why of it but explained it to a good degree.

Huh. Now that was wild. Now she's just plain out curious, once again rotating her wrist as they spoke, trying to figure out how to word this properly.
"Well my roommate tends to joke about how I tend to have this odd feral state when someone wakes me up. No idea what she means by it, have no memory of it either I just know I apparently flipped the couch by myself because I was just that cranky. Broke the Tv too... that was something. Also somethin with my voice? Don't ever have my mic on but I remember vividly shattering a few windows... and I was completely fine, no loss or anything of voice."
That's an odd way to word such things she supposed but it was the best way they could word it.
"Also wild- so like you feed off the emotion or something? Is that how that works? Like you need it to stay alive?"
He looked to be absolutely enraptured with what Sunday was saying, eyes trained on their form, on her every word. He probably was, considering how curious they felt. Anani knew what she did now, certainly not why it was so, but that was something they could find out later. So, enhanced strength, but in specific situations. Not particularly an uncommon ability, which is why they didn't find himself to be as curious as he could've been, but her voice... Sound based anomalies were few and far between, and it was always so very interesting to see the differences in their vocal cords before he had to cut through them.
"Hm, interesting. Well, then you're probably not fully human, then. Human adjacent, but with... Slight modifications, to put it mildly."
There was no real reason for him not to share his thoughts with her, considering that it might make them trust him a tad more. Sure, Anani wasn't particularly holding out any hope for that, nor did they need to, not like when he was a mortal. Now that he thought about it, most likely it was because of her current curiosity, one he wanted to eat whole. It was refreshing, to see someone that didn't fear him, that asked. That eagerly fed him, instead of avoiding him. Not like he could blame them for it.
"In essence, yes. I don't take it from people, but I get stronger when it's felt. Ensure I live longer. Curiosity related to me is a much better meal, though.
"Oh huh... wild. I mean I'd believe, dunno why it happens but I guess that makes sense."

A cloud stares blankly out at the city below, a sigh escaping him as the tears slowly fall, a chuckle escaping him. It was raining softly, vivid flashbacks to a night similar to this one. A night where he had met a bomb. A bomb he had to put down unfortunately. He had grown close to that bomb.
âHey, hereâs a fun idea.
How bout I sit on the couch,
And I watch you next time?â
Next time. Next time had never came. It had been unfortunate really. He really loved those nights.
âI wanna hear you tell a joke.
When no oneâs laughing in the background.
So this is how it ends.â
A tight grip as he walks away from the window.
Pitter patter pitter patter
âGabe? Gabe what are you- why are you- I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS??? I THOUGHT YOU CARED!â
âI-Iâm sorry! It has to be this way!â
âI promise to never go outside again⊠Am I going crazy? Would I even k n o w?â
He looks back out the window. So long ago.
âAm I right back where I started 14 years ago?â
He lets the tears fall, sobbing into his hands.
âWanna guess the ending? If it ever does?!
I SWEAR TO GOD THAT ALL IâVE EVER WANTED WAS A little bit of everything, all of the time..â
Admittedly she wasnât at all fazed by his response⊠oddly enough. But they do rub an eye before giving somewhat an apologetic look.
âSorry. Meant to think that. I mean. Iâd like to think âm human.â
They roll their wrist a bit. Carol joked about how because of how peculiar her sleep schedule was and how she got if awoken during a nap that Sunday almost seemed like a cryptid. The thought alone was funny and it got a kick out of both her and Whitty.
Not to mention how loud her voice isâŠ. When the mic isnât even plugged into the speakers.
âThen again if I werenât Iâd also think thatâd be kinda neat. Not my place to decide that. But immortal? You some kinda god type creature then?â
She was failing curious now, if anything. Then again they spent most of their time knocked out so meeting anyone new was an experience they supposed.
They'd like to think they're human. Hm. Very, very interesting. It wasn't like he'd studied human-like creatures in a while, the slight variations of then were generally disappointing, but... Ever since they'd become immortal, he'd found it far harder to reign in their curiosity than he did back when he was still a mortal. Things that he could gloss over were now on the forefront, and what had already been a near obsession for more knowledge was now a primal, all-encompassing need. A need to know more, to know everything and anything. His expression shifted, almost in an imperceptible way, a faint, slightly off smile crossing their features. Hopefully this one would be somewhat interesting.
"Not human? Care to elaborate, then?"
It was always easier whenever they cooperated. It led to less hassle on both sides, and frankly, Anani was sure that his test subjects would rather spare themselves the pain. He could feel the curiosity radiating off of her at the question, and like the greedy immortal he was, he soaked it in. It was always good when people were curious around them, but when they questioned him specifically? Now that was a specially invigorating meal. Besides, Anani was planning on staying alive for as long as they possibly could, which meant that they needed even more curiosity to feed off of. Well, there were also other reasons...
"That's one way to say it, yes. More like... I'm the manifestation of curiosity. The living embodiment of it. And, emotions can't particularly die. Not forever, at least."
Huh. Now that was wild. Now she's just plain out curious, once again rotating her wrist as they spoke, trying to figure out how to word this properly.

She blinks slowly, once, twice, three times. It felt rude to stare at the guy but he was well outside her norm. They didnât like it. This felt more odd than the time Carol brought Whitty into their shared home and did not tell them at all. So of course anything outside her norm put them off.
That being said the guy looked familiar which was even w o r s e. To a degreee he looked like that stupid Capitalist cloud guy who had been trying to kill WhittyâŠ. Ok the guy got a pass on trying to kill the bomb for obvious reasons but s t i l l,
It just bugged her. He looked familiar but was v e r y different.
âWhat the fuck even are you?â
ThatâŠ. Wasnât meant to leave their mouth, they wanted to THINK that. Too late.
Huh. He was almost certain that they hadn't seen this one before. A rather rare occurrence, all things considered. After all, he'd been a part of the larger multiverse for a considerable amount of time now. So, it still had its secrets, then? The immortal could feel the realization making his insides warm and hungry. Hungry to know more, to see more, experience more. Oh so curious, was he not? Now this was something he had to tell Steve, he always did enjoy new prey to toy with.
Anani could tell they were judging him. Scanning their appearance. Not at all uncommon, even the Dreamsiders did that. In their defense, it wasn't like there were many immortals around. Far from it, actually. And one purposefully made? Utterly unheard of. Still, the scientist didn't see any reason for her to be staring. That is, until they spoke. He couldn't help but chuckle at that, the sound soft and filled with disbelief. That was their first question? Really? Humans really hadn't gotten any smarter in his absence.
"A bit rude, aren't you? Well, I suppose I can humor you with a response. I'm an immortal. And you're... Human, are you not?"
It wasn't said in a derogatory way, not at all. Still... It was almost as if the immortal were judging them silently, stare locked on them behind their thick rimmed glasses.
Admittedly she wasnât at all fazed by his response⊠oddly enough. But they do rub an eye before giving somewhat an apologetic look.

Snatcher simply lays in a tree, peering out among the forest. Hattie was a bit late for her normal meet up. Not like he was t o o worried. They were a strong kid. Although something- or rather someone catches flames eyes. Another kid? In Subcon? Do people just not understand that this place is o f f limits?
Annoyed huff escapes him. Wonder if theyâll walk into a trap.
Bee walked through the forest, nervously looking around. She seemed a teensy bit out of breath, like she had been running for a long time, and only began to walk a little before Snatcher saw her. Not to mention the little cuts and bruises that littered their frame. Overall? She didn't seem to be in the best condition, not at all. The teen quietly mused to herself, thinking she was comepletely alone.
" Jeez , this place makes me feel like I walked into some cheesy kids horror flick . "
The ghost raises an eye brow slightly. Huh. Interesting. They flick their tail slightly, watching the other, not too intently. Wouldn't make much of a difference since it would feel like the ENTIRE forest was staring at Bee. And tiny whispers fluttered in the cool breeze, felt like a ghost town despite the average forest is usually supposed to be full of life.
Bumblebee slowed down, observing the area around her. Something... Something was very, very wrong. She hugged herself slightly, eventually coming to a full stop.
Okay, this wasn't just her imagination. It couldn't be, right? She felt like she was being looked at from every angle. Bee peered through the trees, looking for any sign of life. She thought she saw a small figure through the trees. No no, it wasn't Snatcher, but someone - or mayhaps something else. Regardless, she began to walk again, approaching the mysterious figure. Please don't let this be a bad idea...
" Hey , Y - you , over there ..! Do you know what this place is ? I could really use some help . "
Snatcher lets out a silent chuckle. This poor child. That dweller wouldnât be able to help her, it canât speak. Though they do come closer to view in curiosity. Snatcher simply watching as another cool breeze blows by, his fluff swishing in the wind. A grin spread across his face.
