Charlie’s post-op recovery plan: shove myself in the corner while still recovering from anesthesia and drag the blanket on top of myself for good measure. She’s cancer free and I love her so much.

#she had a tiny little bump but im paranoid and have worked in veterinary surgery for almost a decade now #so i brought her to work and had the doc do a fine needle aspirate of the bump #and it was a mast cell tumor (MCT)#this is a type of malignant neoplasia (cancer) that can be either local or systemic #luckily we got clean margins from the excision #and it’s a low grade local form of MCT #so there is nothing to suggest it would metastasize #you do have to get large margins for MCTs tho #so her approximately 5mm mass left a roughly 4in scar #but now she’s a badass with a scar #i just need to get her a leather body suit and a motorcycle #that’s so fucking weird to say about a dog what am i even typing in the notes of these things sometimes #no one’s seeing these anyway im just talking to myself #but i guess if i die tragically one day my family can find these and maybe laugh at how cracked out some of these are #hi family #~from beyond the grave~#~ooOooOooOoooo~#that’s a spooky ghost noise btw #okay bye hope i haven’t died tragically but if i did this is probably kinda spooky huh #OMG also i can’t believe i forgot to mention #charlie dragged herself into the corner bc i was in there with her earlier when she was freshly off the surgery table #and i brought a tiny dog bed in with me to sit on in the corner #like TINY tho #for a dog half charlie’s size #and after i left she dragged herself to the tiny corner bed with my butt warmth on it and curled up with the blanket #she’s so CUTE it’s illegal i wanna smash her into a WALL bc she’s so cute i love her so much

Charlie’s attack strategy is to trick the enemy by faking friendly fire and then going for the surprise attack. The squid was toast from the start. She’s a military strategist and I love her so much.

#we were outside for so long already #and i had to go back inside to finish cleaning or whatever i was doing that day #she literally looked at me and instead of pulling away on the leash #she just fucking collapsed and was like #‘oh no i’m dead. so sad. you’ll have to leave me here’#im assuming that’s what happened in her brain cell #bc she conveyed it very well #the point was taken #we did stay outside for like another 10 minutes #to be fair #it was SO nice out that day #she loves to do the upside down worm outside on the grass a lot too #silly wiggle dog lady

Charlie’s favorite way to be in bed is to bury herself until it wouldn’t be wrong to assume she’s a dog head and only a dog head. She lacks and body and I love her so much.
