SIROJ is a DJ and a producer hailing from Amsterdam, Netherlands (not Holland for God’s sake, Holland is just a province. Amsterdam is in Holland which is within the Netherlands. Holland is an imaginary country born in students’ minds where people spend their time riding bikes, smoking pot and talking to tulips. It does not seat at UNO. The Netherlands does.) And capital Amsterdam knows how to party: that’s why local SIROJ will join forces with Myth Syzer and Ikaz Boi alongside Brodinski and Sam Tiba for the release party of Cerebral EP at Tolhuistuin on May 21st.
To celebrate this label night, SIROJ has just made a mixtape. And here is a couple of things you should know about our Dutch homie:
He released the “Sad Edits” - R&B instrumentals for heavy hearts and rainy days - by associating a whole lot of samples and tracks by Chris Brown, Rihanna Ty Dolla $ign, Teefli... Volume 1 and Volume 2 on soundcloud
Close to the Bromance crew, SIROJ teamed up with Sam Tiba on “Sunshine Pulse” featured on his latest EP Not Dead Yet.
SirOJ is a well estalished producer in the Dutch hip-hop industry, having lent his beatmaking talents to Dio, Sef, Gers Pardoel, Jiggy Dje and Kraantje Pappie. According to his biography, he also scored the critically acclaimed movie Rabat and award-winning short movie Page 23.
He coined the word SLOP to describe his music: a combination of hip-hop and house music. Get a glimpse of SLOP in his recent Glow EP and latest banger NFSG.
