I’m going more multi-fandom. I haven’t been around for awhile but I’m probably gonna be blogging just j2 now and not SPN. I know it’s annoying. Rant Regarding Jared’s Exhaustion Last Year

I really really hate when people refer to Jared’s exhaustion last year as a mental breakdown. He never stated that’s what he was suffering from. He was surely pushed to his limit and needed time to recuperate but everyone always refers to it as a mental breakdown. None of you know the severity of his exhaustion and if his clinical depression even relapsed then or if he was just dealing with his stressors and couldn’t deal with an event as big as the convention other appearances.

You don’t know if he couldn’t function daily, you don’t know if he withdrew from his family and friends. You don’t know the details. He doesn’t deserve to have his struggles labeled, mapped out, or exaggerated by any of you.

You don’t speak for him. He speaks for himself and this whole fandom has pulled details out of nowhere involving his struggle last year.

I know for a fact many of the SPN fandom have dealt with mental health issues. Everyday that I can’t make it to school doesn’t mean I’m suffering from another breakdown and I wouldn’t want people making those assumptions and telling everyone about it. Would you? How would you feel if you had a hard week and needed time to heal but everyone assumed you’d had an acute psychotic episode or disorder?

Because that’s what a breakdown is and the fact of the matter is WE DON’T KNOW JARED’S LIFE. He shared very little about his problems from last year and I think people confused that situation with the clinical depression he experienced years ago.

I know for the most part the phrase is said in words of support for Jared but even so, think before you label what he went through specifically last year. He didn’t share that with us and we can’t claim it’s something we don’t know for sure.
