The way carmy actually looked mad when syd said they are partners😭 and corrects her to say they're friends. It really highlights how out of sync they are in that moment because to syd saying their partners is something special and important, he is her ONLY partner and is proud to refer to him as such when talking to other people but to carmy it's something lesser.
