He had been wondering how he was, at times, when sleep wasn't coming to him and he was left without screens to keep his mind occupied. He had not told him about the program, because why would he care about that? He hadn't received a single update from him for too long to make a single text not stood out in the complete lack of words. As he stood in line with his team, Hiori Yo looked at the back of his head and told himself not to make rash decisions, now or ever. He hadn't glanced at him once. It was as bad as he had hoped it wouldn't have been.

Dropping the "I'm taken" bomb on a group of girls asking to hang out was never a big deal, they usually got the hint, and if they didn't, he would leave before they could start insisting too much. Dropping that bomb around people like Otoya and Chigiri though caused more surprise in them than in the girls group. Worst of all, Karasu didn't even have a girlfriend, but there was no way he was gonna come out like that just because they were too curious to let go of the whole deal.

Tabiori week day 5: apocalypse

Surviving had been his strong suit ever since he had understood what it would have meant to live. It could have sounded tedious, if not depressing, from an outside perspective, but Yo couldn't feel a drop of interest for the hypothetical words someone who didn't know him could have told him. The world was cold and cruel, that had been his first lesson after his parents had given him a gun and expected him to participate in the daily hunt.

Maybe that was why he decided to speak with the remarkable junior in his same team.

Tabito hears his name in the hushed whispers that ripple out across the room, jumping from person to person and group to group. Heart clenching tightly in his chest, he turns his head towards the commotion. It seemed he wasn't the only Blue Lock star attending the ten-year reunion for Bambi Osaka's 2016 youth team. But where Tabito had stayed to represent Japan and play for the newly assembled U-20 team after the Neo-Egoist League, Hiori Yo had unceremoniously dropped out of the Blue Lock program, there one day and gone the next. Tabito had gone back to review the end of that Ubers match more times than he cared to admit, sharp eyes tracking that head of cotton candy blue across the screen and field.
