Born of the same traumas but

But still not the same

If they wanted to be human,

They should have lighter skin

I Still Exist, A Shadow...

But I still exist, a shadow in this space

A once blinding star, torn from pride of place

A lingering betrayal, without but deep within

A filigree idol, bathed in mortal sin

Fading like a dream come break of day

Born screaming from between as light fades away

Desperate, reawakened in heart and in mind

Rising through the heavens, placating the divines

Singing, saccharine sweet of bygone pleasures lost

Sacrificed in torment at such a dire cost

When at last only remorse and sorrow can be found

Find me bleeding, lifeless, pallid, mangled on the ground

Fading Revery

I leave this record of my time

Passingly brief, truly sublime

Surrounded by others, suffering alone

How brilliantly then my muses shone

Happy with nothing, soul burning bright

Till there formed within in my sight

Whilst the world was sound and light

Blasphemous beauty in mortal form

To dim my view, now forlorn

Oh, so gently I took their hand

And loved so fiercely I couldn't stand

They pulled me in, they gave me rest

I fell asleep fitfully on their chest

To awaken bleeding and desperately scream

And thus my end came in a scream

As I fell from the light to awake in-between

Drowning in blood of an oft shattered dream

The cost of passioned youth lived folly

Broken and grayed into melancholy

Clasping at hope's gold fading strands

Brought to my knees by still loving hands

A betrayal so small that shattered the spheres

Echoing endlessly throughout the years

Pain, niggling, constant that never ends

Forgotten by all, once hailed as friends

A fitting end for one such as I

Alone and forgotten neath shining sky

Now fate decrees, I travel alone

Forever seeking my troubled throne

Past Reflections

I am but stardust, a fading dream

A reflection, broken, lost between

All my glamours truly fled

I'm bleeding now, my muses dead

I always fell way to fast

Now must pay the toll at last

Another love unrequited

Another scar on soul bedighted

A lasting mark among many past

Betwixt the loves that never last

To stagger blinding, bleeding more

Toward great night's, plutnonian shore

For me, love's illusion was never found

Whilst I suffered above the ground

To never find my pride of place

I once had it all, did you know

The looks, the friends, the skills to show

Like a thing alive, it all fled, though

I never found contentment in all the glory

I was never at peace, you know the story

Now, a peculiar addlement of brain

Amid shattereed memories that remain

To lay claim to all the glory and the pain

I never had the strength to fight
