Project of the Day—Two days ago, Bellingcat, an open source citizen investigative journalism project designed to cover issues that are being ignored, posted an important project update. Using “open source investigative techniques,” users managed to pinpoint the precise location of the missile launcher that tragically downed flight MH17, sending a stream of photos and video of the launcher being transported. It was an important example of what Bellingcat hopes to do.
