she giggled. “please, i’ll BET you that you’re going to want to keep it longer. might even get attached, there’s nothing like the feeling of swimming with a tail — it’s liberating. besides, i think you’d look good with a tail.”
overmyeyes:
the grin he wore was wide and warm as they began to walk. “we need a house out on the bay.” he, too, missed the water. fresh or salted – it didn’t matter. he never felt whole out of it.
“ryker would love it, so would i.” her smile grew, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. “i want a big one, glass windows so the sun is always pouring in. and the parties.”
overmyeyes:
“i was going to say it was because i was born in the eighties… but then realized you might be the wrong person to use that on, so i’ve changed my mind.” he couldn’t quite recall how old the mermaid was – and he wasn’t about to risk it.
“i didn’t know you were that old.” she teased. “is that your final answer ?”

“consider it done. you good the way you are now?”
“i’ve got everything i need.” she slipped her arm through his.
overmyeyes:
“the years go by so fast… who needs ‘em.”
“it’s not about how much time has passed, it’s the concept. starting fresh, another chance.”
overmyeyes:
“Okay.. maybe I forgot that that was happening today.”
“you forgot it was new years ?”
overmyeyes:
“hold up, hold up. we can go wherever you wanna go.”
“wherever, huh ?” she hummed, thinking it over. “take me to the ocean, they don’t even have a beach here — it’s ridiculous.”
“I don’t much care for it either – but it’s cheap?”
“if you want to dine on a dime take somebody else.”
“I guess that’s… one way to put it.”
