First of all, she was completely alone.Â
And that has always been a problem, something she hated with every fiber of her body. Not having anyone around put on her a bad attitude, almost leaning to think negatively at any situation. Wherever she looked at, there was not bright side. And it was only a mere change of airs in sake to put her spirit in a better place than where it has been for a while. How her parents can understand such a thing ? It was not something than can be solved by merely finding someone, it was not lack of love or nothing similar but there was a deep wound that was not easy to heal.
Though, why it should matter now of all moments ?
Usually things should not be as hard, changing from airs and whatnot was a common event in anyone's life but for Ryuuzaki Umi, everything was more exaggerated and somehow, she did not felt very comfortable yet.
A paper cup was placed on the table she was occupying in the cafeteria, for that hour it was rather empty but it did not vanished that annoying sensation of this apparent loneliness that was incapable to leave the magic knight of water. At least she was capable to get a decent breakfast and there was nothing wrong to stay like that. It's not like she was interested in any of these people. Perhaps she was too much for them. Pfft, quite the ego lifter ...Â
When she was going to take another sip of the cup, a voice called the blue-haired girl commonly, asking one favour. A brilliant blue gaze met with the one of this man, which she couldn't help but to stare. A simple request and she was the one chosen to answer it. Ah, what she needed -- Oh, that was sarcasm. Why her of all people !?
" Haah? Here ? With me ? "Â Umi turned around plenty of times, looking out to see if there was another table but she was the only idiot that had no company in that instant.Â
" Ah.... " A sigh followed her words soon, it can't be helped. She can't act like a bad person in this kind of situation when there was no other alternative. Oh, but this man tried to do something funny then she was more than willing to show him with who he was messing with. Not like he looked as someone bad, it was just that Umi was not the most warm person in the world at first instance. " Fine. Go ahead, take it. This chair is all yours. " Patting the sit of chair with one hand to invite him, the girl attempted to smile but it seemed to forced so her mood reversed once again to a serious one.Â
Ah, it was better to be direct in these cases !
Standing up herself to approach him and with one finger raised, she cut the distance between them only to give an important warning, acting as if she was lecturing the man.
" But you'll have to tell me your name first, I don't want to share the same space with a stranger !! " Speaking about rude, she was winning in this race to see who can forget their mannerisms so quickly.
First impressions were based on her looks, deep down she was not as sweet as she tried to act when meeting someone. Though, she was rather mean toward guys because it was not the behavior she was used to. Call it a self-defense mode. Though, hopefully she'll receive the answer she wanted. Fate had its own reasons to be but she was too busy putting up walls to notice that right away.
