The Window for Seadweller Zine has closed!
Total donations as of this morning are at $653.16! this is not the total amount that wil go to the Coral Reef Alliance as Gumroad will be taking a percentage out, but we will have that total for you soon!
Gumroad “pays out” every Friday, so expect an update by this weekend!
Last call for Seadweller Zine!
It has been a WONDERFUL whirlwind month for the zine. The community really stepped up and you guys made both the zine and the donation campaign a huge success. But as with all good things, the donation drive can not stay open forever. This will be the last week that Seadweller Zine is available through Gumroad. If you have not yet gotten your copy, don’t wait! The zine is PWYW with 100% of proceeds going to the Coral Reef Alliance to help protect the world’s vulnerable ocean life. If you have already donated, thank you! Tell your friends, your family, anyone who will listen, and let’s make this the BEST last week ever!
We are very close tot our $500 goal, but a little further away when we take into account Gumroad’s fees. In order to give a $500 donation to the Coral Reef Alliance, we need to have raised $570 in total. Currently we’re at $488.50. I think we can raise a bit under $100 by the end of the week! Please spread this post, and check out all the work from our amazing contributors!
TODAY IS THE LAST DAY!
It has been an amazing run! Our current total over all is $526.50, with $463.32 of that going to the Coral Reef Alliance after Gumroad takes their cut. We’d love to break that threshold and get $500 total after fees to our chosen charity, and it would only take a little under $50 more dollars in donations!
THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO DOWNLOAD! The link for the Seadweller zine will close tomorrow. Thank you everyone who contributed and made this possible. You are all truly some sea stars!

Since I’m not a member of any Eridan art blogs, as opposed to how I shared my other two pics, this one I think I’ll post right here on main. I do have an art blog I am starting to use more, but for now, most of my followers are here
Shame tumblr eats the resolution of stuff like this but hey
Anyhow, this is my Eridan piece for @seadwellerzine !
My Cronus piece for @seadwellerzine ! I can finally share this, I really had a ton of fun working on the heavy dark linework for this one and am proud of how it turned out !
Gotta wvear that smile !

We got in touch with the Coral Reef Alliance for a little more information about what our donations can do, and here’s what we were told!
$5 buys two vetiver plants in West Maui. Vetiver is a non-fertile, non-invasive perennial grass with a dense web of roots that binds soil and penetrates vertically up to 15 feet. We use vetiver to restore landscapes in the Wahikuli Watershed and positively benefit coral reef habitats.
$35 covers one day of fuel for a patrol boat for Roatan Marine Park. Patrol boats are operated in partnership with the Honduran Navy and used to monitor protected areas. They confiscate illegal gear such as nets or spears used to catch turtles and arrest people who are involved with illegal development like mangrove cutting.
$50 buys snorkel gear (mask, snorkel, fins) used for in-water monitoring of coral reefs. Tracking trends in fish and coral populations on reefs allows us to draw informed conclusions about where resource management strategies are working and where strategic changes should be made.
$125 supports one month of water quality monitoring. Sediments can smother and bury corals and nutrients feed algae growth that can compete with corals for space on reefs. Understanding the water quality enables us to better address the source of water pollution and implement appropriate solutions to help corals thrive.
$1000 pays for the installation and maintenance of one mooring buoy in Roatan Marine Park for 5 years. Mooring buoys provide an alternative way to moor a boat over a coral reef without causing damage to corals by dropping anchor.
We’re currently at $365.50—so that would be about 146 vetiver plants, 10.5 days of fuel for a patrol boat, 7 sets of snorkel gear (and a bit left over), or just under 3 months of water quality monitoring!
Alternatively, you could get a month of water quality monitoring, 2 sets of snorkel gear, 3 days of patrol boat fuel, and still have enough money left over for 14 vetiver plants…
We’ll keep you guys posted as donations continue to come in! Thank you all SO MUCH!

We’re about to break $400!!
A note from the Coral Reef Alliance: “All donations under $10,000 will be considered unrestricted and go towards general support.” The impact per dollar amounts are meant to be examples of how much their work costs, and should be treated as such!
With that said, here’s are updated info on what $397.50 could (hypothetically!) net the Coral Reef Alliance:
159 vetiver plants OR 11 days of patrol boat fuel OR 8 sets of snorkel gear OR 3 months of water quality monitoring!
And to spread it out, 1 month of water quality monitoring & 2 sets of snorkel gear & 4 days of patrol boat fuel plus a solid 14 vetiver plants!
WE BROKE $400! We’re now at $417.50, thank you so much!

You are four and three quarter sweeps and standing in front of the floor-length mirror in your ablution block. There is a twinkle in your eye that some trolls mistake for a squint. There is a knife in your left hand; in your right, a fistful of curls.
The reflection heaves a sigh and says, “This is seariously dumb.”
Ain’t that the truth.
