TOP NINE This’ll be a bit of a long one so hold on! 2018 has been the year of shoving myself out of my comfort zone. Being photographed, on stage or the center of focus for anything would have made me break out in a cold sweat. I took the mantra “fake it til you make it” to heart and just did it despite my anxiety and fear screaming at me to not to. Im SO glad I did. Its crazy to believe that my first cosplay post was just this past August!! Qi’ra was the gateway to me having enough confidence to attempt large, multi-piece projects. It is also the cosplay I entered in my first contest (@animeweekendatlantaofficial ) and won for the novice category. After I won, i had to run back to my friend @dragon_beak ‘s artist table to hide until my heart stopped racing. A week later I was on stage at the @hooligansccsc Miss Hullabaloo pin up contest, another first! 👑 Its also been the year of making new connections with some truly fantastic people. Photographers, fellow cosplay enthusiasts, Pin-up beauties and new hiking buddies, all of who made me feel so welcomed and included in these new communities. My hopes for 2019 are: -Figuring out where I want to go with my costuming (theatrical/movies and television/custom cosplay commissions/working for a brand/?????) -Encourage new cosplayers that their abilities are far greater than their current doubts -Finish my cosplay list while teaming up with the fantastic folks Ive met this year and beyond! **Psst SC and/or semi local peeps.. reach out if you want to collab/photograph/design something together!! ** I cant wait to see what 2019 brings Happy New Year everyone!!!!
