Finally finished my birthday present for @seanfiction, who is the best and deserves all the Pokemon fanart in the entire world!

That’s round one of the Battle Frontier! =D Didn’t finish it on time but other than that I’m quite happy with it.

The task was to take a selfie at four specific locations while traveling on your designated land mon. For Basil that’s Timber, seen here looking amazing and energetic as usual. =3

I’ve been wanting to make one of these for AGES and now I finally had a reason and hence enough motivation. This thing is a monster, it turned out to be far more work than I anticipated. ^^;; The three mons for the “big enough to ride on”-slots are in fact a bit bigger than their dex sizes but those don’t make any sense anyway (generally speaking), so whatever.

Alcatraz has a lot of scars because he likes to battle his opponents up close and also because he often ignores orders to retreat. To make matters worse, he also continues to pick at healing wounds (but do try and put a Garchomp in a cone of shame, I dare you).

You might find it weird to have two mons with almost the same typing on one team, but Hawkai has a completely different fighting style and they’re two very different types of opponent.

Also, Timber is the prettiest Arcanine ever. 8D

Leaving our current home in Castelia behind fo a while to take part in the Battle Test Series on the Ohana Islands. They’ve had a few bad incidents during tournaments in the past so instead of actual all out battling they’re doing this. =) Can’t wait to see how it all turns out!

It seems that the tournament’s organizer isn’t planning to bring the event to any kind of conclusion. With the weather matching our mood we take our leave. Helios is especially disappointed he never got to fight more than one battle; Vermillion is just plain pissed. Fleck doesn’t really care either way, he’s not much of a competitive battler anyway. ^^;;

Hawkai looks so badass, isn’t it great? =D

Flygon is called the “desert spirit” because of the singing sound its wings make. They also cause sand storms.

Hawkai joined the team by secretly stowing away in Basil’s bag (back when he was a Trapinch). He thought that was very clever indeed. XD

boyinthemachine (Mudkip), seanfiction (Torchic) and me (Treecko) are kinda angry that Europe and the UK won’t get ORAS until a week from now, while everyone else gets to play tomorrow.

I drew this in hope it’ll give us some comfort.

I'm so sorry... I just went there to tell them the contest entry had obviously been some mistake and then this happened. Helios, my Luxray, must have mistaken the other trainer's Ninetale's attack combo as some sort of attempt at intimidation and responded in kind. ^^;; Please note that it was a playful attack and neither pokémon was harmed or seriously injured.

There are reasons I don't do contests. OTL

So this is it, Blaziken vs Honchkrow in a round of Capture the Flag, a PokéAthlon game. Pretty sure these two forgot about this being just a friendly game about three seconds into the match and made it a real battle. Not that their trainers complained. XD

When the second round of the tournament was announced we were told it wasn't a regular battle, but a contest.

A contest.

That was not what we had signed up for and neither me nor my opponent were overly thrilled. We settled on a sort of compromise: the Pokéathlon. So that's what we're gonna do. XD

(Please note that I don't mean to say that pokémon are nothing but fighters if you train them for battle. However, contests require certain skills that me and my pokémon don't have and don't feel like acquiring.)
