Dark Horse Comics has announced The Umbrella Academy's very first spinoff series, coming this summer.
Dark Horse Comics has announced that the popular The Umbrella Academy title is getting its first spinoff series, You Look Like Death, from co-creators Gerard Way and Shaun Simon, with illustrations by I.N.J. Culbard, among others.
The upcoming spinoff will center on an 18-year-old Séance as he tries to make his way in Hollywood after being expelled from the Umbrella Academy. The story is set about 10 years before the events of Apocalypse Suite and will see Klaus forced to depend on himself after crossing a vampire drug-lord.

Way expressed his excitement to work on this title, “For a long time, I had wanted to tell the story of Klaus Hargreeves’ life after the Umbrella Academy disbanded,” the writer continued, “I imagined a pretty wild decade for Klaus– full of ups and downs, seedy places, supernatural excursions, and internal battles within himself.” Way then added that he was thrilled to work with the artists, Culbard and Nate Piekos, and of course his co-creator, “who sees the world of the UA as clearly as I do.”
You Look Like Death is scheduled to be released this summer, on June 17, 2020. The six-issue series will feature cover art from Culbard, Gabriel Bá, Leo Romero, Jenny Frison and more.
