AU where Mao Mao and Badgerclops met as young teens. I kinda like to imagine Badgerclops having an “edgy” phase as a teenager, since he was trying so hard to fit in/appear “cool.” And then their roles sort of reversed as they got older. Badgerclops was still a softie but tried to hide it under a moody exterior.

(Also, I’m not sure at what point in his life Badgerclops got his bionic arm- before or after joining the Thicket Thieves in canon. But I drew him without it, just as Mao Mao still had his tail.)

Reminds me of mike and sully from monsters inc. in the first movie sully was sweet and mikey was a bit abrasive but in monster university, those roles reverse making mike more likeable and sully becoming a better monster
