Imagining Lucienne and Margaret with the same problems I had when I took business classes (business minor). Their professors made them attend random “optional” seminars that started 5 minutes after the lecture ended and was all the way across campus. 6 semesters straight of the same “business proposal” project being recycled by every professor. All their classmates turn in Chatgpt slop and get rewarded for it. One of their professors only taught for 20 minutes max each class period before dismissing everyone. Their Leadership Practicum mentors were MIA for 4 weeks and they had to wait 2 more weeks for new ones so they had to cram 10 weeks of mentorship into 4 weeks.

I’m rewatching Starstruck and I’m having such a fun time imagining all of this from Skip’s perspective. Like imagine you’ve been alone in space for thousands of years, you finally find a vessel to inhabit, immediately you get control and there’s a psychic on the ship who seems to know somethings wrong, you’re freaking out, everyone is looking at you all confused and you’re like fuck fuck fuck I’ve been made I’m gonna die. And then every single thing that comes out of your mouth makes them so happy. They’re like. Obsessed with you. Like they tentatively ask you questions you don’t know the answers to so you just kinda say yes and they just start giving you things. They’re handing you pieces of paper with shapes on it trying to get you to write on it, they’re foam rolling you, they’re just like so pumped you’re there.

It’s like if you walked into the wrong meeting with a room full of strangers and they just. Usher you in and ask you advice and start cheering any time you start talking. Absolutely bizarre
