Kin tips for Ocean kin! 🌊
Did you live in the ocean? Perhaps a deep saltwater lake? It's distressing to find yourself on land, where everything is too bright and too dry.
1. Get a weighted blanket to simulate the pressure of water on you and help you sleep.
2. Listen to ambient ocean sounds, or soothing ocean music to sleep! I recommend this one on loop, I listen to it every night.
3. Scented candles! Nice beachy or oceanic scents can make you feel right at home.
4. LED lights can give your room a lovely, homey blue haze like you're back underwater, staring up at the distant surface.
5. Saline wound wash spray is safer than DIY salted water for various purposes. It's sterile with exactly 0.9% salt, the same content as tears and blood. Perfect for when you want to feel at home by spraying yourself with salt water, and way safer for your skin.
6. Wear your colours! Were you a specific species of fish? Crab? Mermaid? Wear clothes or accessories that have the colours your scales/shell/skin used to.
7. Take a bath with ocean-themed bath bombs!
8. Weird one, but take a bath with your clothes on. Your old form didn't feel naked underwater, like you do now without clothes. A bath with clothes will help you feel 'normal' again even as you're floating in water!
9. If the clothed bath isn't your style, simply going to the pool with help you feel a lot better.
