Just gonna say that whether you love or hate the show, it’s important for kids/early teen stories about bravery and friendship and good overcoming evil to be made. I see a lot of people wanting the show to be canceled because it doesn’t follow the books 100% and you’re right, it changes a lot and you’re entitled not to like it. But kids NEED a show like this in today’s age where a lot of what is pushed out as teen media is actually very adult in content.

So yeah just, please remember that Rick also has a good heart and is trying to tell a good story with this show. I’m not saying good in terms of whether YOU like it or not, but good in terms of the lessons it’s trying to impart. The renewals for season 4-5 have not been announced, but it’d be a great thing for the business of renewing tv series if it were to see a conclusion, especially because we so rarely get that from networks nowadays

I love how they put unconscious Percy and Thalia in beds next to each other because can you imagine if they woke up in the middle of the night with no one else there and then the whole camp wakes up to the infirmary exploding because the divine cousins are arguing over who’s more dedicated to Annabeth Chase 😂😂

i need everyone to give walker some grace when he speaks in interviews about percy and his responses to percabeth questions. it’s getting irritating how people are always saying he fell out of the books just to then ignore and judge his answers simply because they don’t like what he thinks of where percy and annabeth stand with each other in the show’s current timeline.

he knows percy better than anyone else. he was even the one who pitched to change his speech before the battle in the finale because the one in the script felt too much like something tlo percy would give. he KNOWS what goes through percy’s head and why he acts the way he does and if you’d actually care to listen when he speaks you’d also notice this !

when walker says percy and annabeth are just best friends, that the same crazy lines he delivers to her he would also give to grover or tyson or whoever else, he is right. percy doesn’t believe there are any other layers to what he says to her, there are no romantic implications because the thought simply isn’t running through his head. he likes her as a friend and he cares about her deeply, he recognizes this. he just hasn’t acknowledged any of the feelings that are definitely brewing for her and won’t acknowledge them for a while, either, because he thinks it’s normal for him to act like this with her. he was raised by sally jackson after all, somebody who instilled in him the concept of love and how important it is to shower those you care about in it — annabeth on the other hand is always taken aback by percy’s lines because she isn’t used to anybody being so loud and direct about their devotion and love for her.

so again, they are just best friends. this doesn’t exclude the fact that their relationship is a slowburn, which means that the feelings are still there. however, at the moment the kids can only speak on what their character is acting on as of sea of monsters and the titan’s curse. be patient and don’t underplay their knowledge of the characters when they live in their bodies and thoughts literally all day every day for months !
