Can someone put muzzles on those Christmas carolers?
No, but you’re the only one crass enough to say it rather than just putting in headphones.
You may imagine you love it, but you don’t really have a frame of refernce, now do you?
It's not crass, it's candid. And you make honesty sound like a bad thing.
I believe I do. You shouldn't speak of what you don't know, Charlotte.
Can someone put muzzles on those Christmas carolers?
They’re children and I believe that constitutes abuse.
I’m more than happy to find someone to damage your hearing, though. I won’t do it because you’d enjoy that too much.
It's not like I'm the only one thinking it.
I love it when you talk dirty to me, Montgomery.
I'm guessing Kathryn and Carter are getting their do-over sooner than we even expected because I saw them getting into a cab and heard them talking about sharing a meal.
Wow. That was fast. Truth be told, though, Carter’s easy. Look how long he lasted sticking to his guns against his parents; if Kathryn did the dumping, Carter probably did the pining and yearning for re-acceptance.
Be careful, though, Carter — there’s a reason they say you can’t go home. You made a deal to get your money and your parents back. Kathryn will never be cheaper than them. Evaluate what it could cost you before you act this time and you might save yourself a lot of heartache in the long run.
Can someone put muzzles on those Christmas carolers?

Sebastian’s eyes fell on her smirk, and he could feel his own beginning to appear on his face, but he caught it just in time. With a curious brow arched, he followed her gaze and watched the women around them. He wanted to know what the fuck she was thinking, he wanted to know how he was doing so far. It felt like he was doing good, but with a woman as difficult as Charlotte, you can never really be sure. Of course, his natural instinct was to laugh when he saw the girl trip into a trash can, but he managed to restrain himself and pull his face into a grimace toward the girl before returning his attention to Charlotte.
"Now, I have to point out," he started once she’d finished speaking, "That you just contradicted yourself. You said, and I quote, 'The depiction I have and the impression I express are solely mine,' and now you’re saying impressions are made by the reputation preceding you. Which is it, Charlotte Montgomery? Because quite frankly, I think I’m getting whiplash in this conversation.” He flashed her a smile, one that he knew was smug, but can easily be interpreted as genuine.
They came to a halt in front of the building and Sebastian nodded, “Well, this looks to be the end of a very interesting conversation. Now, I ask that you please ponder on your previous argument because I’d love to hear what you finally conclude to. I’ll text you promptly at five-thirty and have your answer ready by then.” He takes her hand in his and lifts it to his lips, “It truly was a pleasure to meet you for real this time.” He managed to crack and instead of his sweet smiles, he showed her his smirk and with that, he turned to go, knowing that today went pretty fucking great.
Charlotte blinked patiently when she said she’d contradicted herself. It was cute, really, that he thought he could outsmart her. She pressed her lips together and avoided the smirk that was dying to form. ”I can’t say anything about anyone else’s impressions. I form my impression of a person based on their representation and their presentation — to me. The impression I’m getting, if you have whiplash, is I’m too much for you to handle and you can’t keep up.”
She turned toward him when she came to a stop. As he reached for her hand, she dropped the mostly full cappuccino into the garbage can that sat at the entrance of the building, then allowed him to kiss her hand.
"That it does," she confirmed. "I will do that, if I find time, and if you’re as curious as you say, you can wait for my response." She met his smirtk with one of her own. "Until then, Mr. Hawthorne." She nodded her head in his direction and then turned to go inside the building.
lmao so sebastian's got his hands full with this chick yo but he's obvi not going to stop because she's hot and interesting and yeah yo. charlotte's a bad bitch (in a good way, it's slang Jann lol) but yeah. anyway so he totally wants to sleep with her but that probably won't happen so yeah and lol @ her throwing her coffee out right in front of him because that was kind of fucked up :p okay this ending is kind of wack because yeah but hooray for interaction
ps lets not forget that chick that busted her ass after seeing sebastian's gorgeous face js
The End
My flight leaves in about five hours.
I’m not sure I would notice if she did at this point. Alcohol is alcohol after the first fifth.
As long as I actually get on it, that’s fine. Let’s do it.
Very true, but because I'm not quite up to that level yet, I'll notice. So don't be surprised when I get her fired if she isn't up to par.
Definitely. {Once the chick comes back with the drinks, he takes his and raises up to clink against Oliver's} To a very happy birthday.
private so s'cuse~
{Kathryn wipes every emotion from her face. She’s cold and calculating and if he knows her any fraction of how much he thinks he does, he knows she’s serious. He’s pushing on all of her buttons and she’s not exactly a fan.} So it seems that someone’s balls have dropped since I’ve been gone. But what you seem to so foolishly have forgotten is that I’m Kathryn Remington. {As he finally releases her, she closes the short distance between them, a deceivingly sweet smile on her face.} Straighten up, little puppy. Or you might just have to get neutered.
{Sebastian knows that he's crossing every line, pushing all the buttons, but he can't seem to stop. He loves this reaction he's getting out of her because finally, he's the one on top. Plus, she's really sexy when she's angry and that's always fun} My balls dropped long before that, actually, but it seems that someone's not enjoying the power shift. You seem to so "foolishly have forgotten" I'm Sebastian Hawthorne and Kathryn Remington has absolutely no control over me. No one does. {His eyes roll as she steps toward him again and his hand lifts up to her face, thumb tracing over her smile} I'd love to see you try.
private so s'cuse~
Well let’s hope so. The look is unbecoming on you.
{Kathryn blows out a breath, tired of the back and forth attitude. Mainly because that was her game and she didn’t really appreciate that he was taking what was hers.} Well we know how much weight your judgement calls hold, so please forgive me if I take no stock in it.
{Darkness flashes through her eyes and it’s not something that she can control.} Careful, Bashie. You’re stepping on very uneasy ground. {Before she has a chance to do anything more, he’s lifting her and switching places with her and while she’d already be purring any other time, she was very much annoyed at the power he’d just taken away from her. She fixes him with a glare and lifts her chin in indignation.} Then I sincerely hope you don’t miss it.
So are your red-rimmed nostrils.
{His eyes fall as a wicked grin grows on his face, dark and smug} What, don't tell me you're not over them... Are you, Kathryn? Or should I release you so you can take a bump before you're actually able to answer me. {His head dips toward hers, his nose running along her jaw as he slowly breathes in her intoxicating scent. With a sigh, he releases her wrists and takes a cautious step back, just in case she wants to be dramatic and slap him or something.} I don't plan on it.
My flight leaves in about five hours.
Well, this one is well-compensated enough she better not fuck with it.
You’d have to ask my brother. He did most of the legwork and I’m already too fucked to remember beyond ‘get on plane this evening.’
Or worse, fuck it up.
So let's get you so fucked up to the point where you don't remember even boarding the plane, then.
My flight leaves in about five hours.
I’m not mixing you shit. I’ll order it when she gets back with the round we ordered before you walked in.
I don't trust females with my drinks, but whatever.
So, what's the game plan for Lebanon?
My flight leaves in about five hours.
Same. I have a couple of open seats on mine is all.
Those are words I like, though.
Thanks for the offer.
See, but you're moving your lips and not moving your hands to fix me a drink. Multi-tasking is key, Andrews.
My flight leaves in about five hours.
I’m starting easy with some Jameson. Do you have a flight booked or do you want a seat on mine?
Give me a glass, then. Oh, no I don't use public airplanes--my jet's flying me out there. I'm just here for the pre-party.
My flight leaves in about five hours.
The real question is — are you getting loaded with me before we spend13 hours in the air?
I have supplies on the ground in Beirut for once we’re there but… anyone is welcome to get in on it on this side of the pond. Even you.
Of course; what're we drinking, Andrews?

Charlotte smirked at him, not really answering until she’d taken one more casual sip of her coffee and surveyed the surrounding females. She was vaguely amused, and surprised some of them hadn’t actually bumped into things yet. Scratch that, she though, as one tripped into a garbage can. All she could do was shake her head.
"We all live with bias, Sebastian. Impressions are made by reputation preceding you, whether by word of mouth or via written word." She pursed her lips together and glanced at him briefly. "It’s formed in the way you walk, the way you dress, and the way you speak." She shrugged. "Only people who are dedicated to the notion life is fair — like children— complain about it. I’m plenty used to people wanting something from me," she admitted easily. "I’m well-versed in not giving it to them."
She was pretty sure he’d catch on to the fact that she meant she wasn’t going to give him the benefit of the doubt — which was what he wanted from her in this moment.
"Calculus is boring and useless," she agreed. "The benefit to college is I never have to take it again. I have Women in Antiquity." She came to a stop in front of the building. "Right here, actually."
Sebastian's eyes fell on her smirk, and he could feel his own beginning to appear on his face, but he caught it just in time. With a curious brow arched, he followed her gaze and watched the women around them. He wanted to know what the fuck she was thinking, he wanted to know how he was doing so far. {Her smile only grows sweeter.} Careful, brother dear. Someone might mistake you for jealous.
{Despite the fact that he had her backed into a corner (metaphorically, of course), she giggles, shaking her head as if she expected more out of him.} That wasn’t bragging. That was information with just a dash of goading. {She shrugs after a short pause.} You were asking for it.

{He lets out a short laugh} Then that'd be their mistake.
{On a normal basis her little giggles would've been charming to him, but he was growing tired of them (not really, but he had to think that in order for him to kind of mean it) and watches her with the same bored expression} Call it what you want, but I call it like I see it.

Charlotte honestly didn’t know what to make of him. There was part of her — and it was the overwhelming majority of her — who thought he was full of shit and he was playing her for something. Her best guess was he was attempting to get into her pants, but she couldn’t figure out why that would hold appeal to him. Most especially because she knew something he quite likely knew as well — it wasn’t going to happen. If he knew that and she knew that, it left her with an uncertain knowledge what exactly he was still doing here.
"Most of my impression is just that — my impression. I don’t rely on others to tell me what to think,” she said, not unkindly. ”So the depiction I have and the impression I express are solely mine and, I assure you, they aren’t as judgmental as they sound. If they were, I wouldn’t be sitting with you right now. What it means, though, is I don’t trust your motivations here. No one, and I mean no one, has ever wanted to get to know me just for the sake of the person I am. Therefore, it’s rarely a courtesy I extend to other people. I’m sitting here because I’m curious as to what you want from me.”
She took a sip of her coffee and looked out over the campus she hated and loved in equal measure. People were coming and going, everyone following a different path to get to similar places. It was all guided by a class schedule, motivations to do something different than they were doing now, and honestly… she fit into that a little too well. She fit in by not wanting to be a part of it forever, and a little bit by what she just said. Most of the people here were looking for inclusion, trying to fit into something larger than htmeselves, and it was one of a fw places she’d ever felt welcome. She didn’t know how it was possible she was so uncomfortable sitting on this ch with him. She didn’t fit there.
Instead of fidgeting in any way, she set her coffee down into the palm of her other hand and slowly looked to her watch with a sigh. She pursed her lips together as if she were displeased, maybe bored, but it was more to maintain a neutral expression on her face than anything else. Bored or displeased were her defaults after all.
"I need to start walking toward class. You’re more than welcome to walk with me if you can keep up," she said, glancing over her shoulder as she rose. "It seems as though it’s not a direction you’re familiar with. What class are you missing to be here right now?"
See, Bash knew that Charlotte was going to be a difficult one for him to crack, but at this point he was guessing that maybe he'd underestimated her. Today was just a feeler, even though she probably didn't think so. The plan was to get in, maybe change some preconceived notions about her, and leave. More or less. But she was making it difficult to get a word in without her thinking he wanted in those snug little jeans. Though, of course that essentially was what he wanted, but with time. Sebastian can be patient, and he would be with this but he was beginning to wonder where his breaking point was.
"I guess I just don't understand how you can have an impression of me if you don't even know me," he replied, his eyebrows pulling together, "Plus, you keep making comments about me because women claim that I've slept with them, and you probably think that I want to sleep with you do to those claims. So, your impression of me obviously is biased to a certain degree and that's pretty unfair." He tried his best to arrange his features in the most innocent seeming way, and hopefully she'd buy it. But she proved to be this much of a pain, so he wasn't entirely sure. "Maybe since you're not used to someone wanting to get to know you that you don't know what it looks like, even if it is right in your face. Happy, now? No ulterior motives, no deception." Lying is Sebastian's first language.
Taking a sip of his own coffee, he followed Charlotte's gaze and watched the campus and all of it's people. Fuck, he'd love to go to this school--he bet the teachers were probably chicks too. Not only a lay in between classes, but he wouldn't have to worry about grades either. His charm has no age limit, obviously. However, he couldn't help but chuckle to himself because Charlotte's words. She knew him like the back of his hand, but after today, he was set on convincing her otherwise.
Rising from her words--not too eagerly but not too resistantly, of course--and began walking with her. "Calculus," he said with a sigh, "Probably my least favorite class, so I don't mind. What do you have now?"
