Google's Gemini is on pace to push Copilot into third place.
"Microsoft has cut its sales targets for its agentic AI software after struggling to find buyers interested in using it. In some cases, targets have been slashed by up to 50%, suggesting Microsoft overestimated the potential of its new AI tools. Indeed, compared with ChatGPT and Google's Gemini, Copilot is falling behind, raising concerns about Microsoft's substantial AI investment.
Microsoft was an early investor in many of the latest AI companies. It ended up with a serious stake in OpenAI and benefited from early access to its models, creating Bing Chat and Copilot when Google, Meta, and Anthropic were just getting started. But now its momentum has stalled, and like everyone else, it's not making much money from its AI products. That's because no one is buying them, and that is because very few people actually find them useful, The Information reports."

i have never seen a single 'pirates of the caribbean' film so my friend insisted that i watch the first one with her and i'm obsessed.
the villainâs origin story is that he canât eat apples anymore. every fight scene plays like a slapstick comedy. two key combat sequences end with our sexy leading men getting boinked on the head. the climax is initiated by one ship firing forks at another ship. everyone is unreasonably hot. plot armor made only of the word âparlayâ. the Redcoats are more useless than you could possibly imagine. Elizabeth almost drowns, gets held hostage, and then her entire village is destroyed but the worst part of her day is that a man proposed to her. a crew of skeleton pirates do drag to trojan horse their way into the final battle. truly insane stuff can't wait for more.

Arguably the most massive and influential study ever proving the supposed inherent cruelty of humanity was proven a few years ago to be literally fraudulent
The most famous psychological studies are often wrong, fraudulent, or outdated. Textbooks need to catch up.
"The Stanford Prison Experiment, one of the most famous and compelling psychological studies of all time, told us a tantalizingly simple story about human nature.
The study took paid participants and assigned them to be âinmatesâ or âguardsâ in a mock prison at Stanford University. Soon after the experiment began, the âguardsâ began mistreating the âprisoners,â implying evil is brought out by circumstance. The authors, in their conclusions, suggested innocent people, thrown into a situation where they have power over others, will begin to abuse that power. And people who are put into a situation where they are powerless will be driven to submission, even madness.
The Stanford Prison Experiment has been included in many, many introductory psychology textbooks and is often cited uncritically. Itâs the subject of movies, documentaries, books, television shows, and congressional testimony.
But its findings were wrong. Very wrong. And not just due to its questionable ethics or lack of concrete data â but because of deceit.
A new exposĂ© based on previously unpublished recordings of Philip Zimbardo, the Stanford psychologist who ran the study, and interviews with his participants, offers convincing evidence that the guards in the experiment were coached to be cruel. It also shows that the experimentâs most memorable moment â of a prisoner descending into a screaming fit, proclaiming, âIâm burning up inside!â â was the result of the prisoner acting. âI took it as a kind of an improv exercise,â one of the guards told reporter Ben Blum. âI believed that I was doing what the researchers wanted me to do.â
The findings have long been subject to scrutiny â many think of them as more of a dramatic demonstration, a sort-of academic reality show, than a serious bit of science. But these new revelations incited an immediate response. âWe must stop celebrating this work,â personality psychologist Simine Vazire tweeted, in response to the article. âItâs anti-scientific. Get it out of textbooks.â Many other psychologists have expressed similar sentiments."

One of the rare situations where science turning out to be fraudulent and/or wrong is actually very GOOD news!
Seriously recommend reading through the article if you have any interest at all in human nature or psychology. The article is absolutely full of primary sources and incredibly damning for the validity of one of the most important and influential psychology experiments literally ever.
I will never forgive CinemaSins for how they contributed to the decline in media literacy in the last ten years and you can tell them I said that if you want. Not everything that is unexplained in media is plothole. Not every mistake is worthy of scorn and if a twist is visible prior to it hitting, that is not a bad thing. Your trivial nitpicking has set back the human ability to discuss media at least 30 years
