My ass is offended.
Oh yeah, is it? Well let me see it. Iâll be sure to make it feel better.
thexbenxriveraâ:
âI mean, you are a very handsome guy⌠Must have heard a lot of compliments alreadyâ he said with a chuckle. He wiggled his eyebrows playfully as he said âI meant your taste of drinkâŚ. but Iâll keep that in mindâ he said with a mischievous smile. As he took another sip of his drink, he nodded. âThat sounds like a good plan: Get a few drinks⌠see where the night goesâŚÂ Need a partner in crime for your adventures?â he asked with a grin.
âI appreciate the sentiment, but I donât usually stay long enough to hear guys say enough words to compliment me,â he said, winking back towards the other. âI can take on a partner in crime,â Seb added, smiling, âWhatâs in store for us next, then. My place or something else?âÂ
thexbenxriveraâ:
âWell, you happen to be a really nice surprise,â he said with a wink. He raised his eyebrows and nodded in approval when the other ordered two whiskeys. He usually stayed on beer, but tonight seemed to call for something stronger, which he didnât mind at all. âItâs perfect. Iâd like to have a taste of youâ he said with a chuckle as he grabbed the glass and downed some of the liquid. It burned good as it passed and Ben sighed in delight. âI havenât had one of these in a while,â he said with a pleasured smile. âSo, while it sounds a bit cliche, I have to ask: What were you doing on your own in a place like this, Sebastian?â
âThatâs not the first time Iâve been told that, so youâll have to try a bit harder to flatter me,â he smirked. Seb took a sip of his drink before turning his attention back to the other. âI taste really good, but weâll see if you get to sample that yourself. â He stirred his straw before daring for another sip. âI was bored with my night so I figured Iâd have a few drinks in hopes for excitement.âÂ
.
thexbenxriveraâ:
He smiled and took another drink of his bottle, emptying in a couple of gulps. He could already feel the buzz from the alcohol in him, with made him relax. âNo⌠too predictable. I like surprises. Like cute boys in a bar, with a glass of whiskey and a cute smileâ, he said, winking an eye and getting a bit closer. âYes, please⌠Or whatever drink youâd like too. I like where this is goingâ he said with a smile. âThe nameâs Ben. Itâs nice to meet youâ
Sebastian finished off his first drink, before flagging the bartender over. âSurprised can be fun... it depends on the surprise though,â he laughed, âYou like my smile, huh. Yours isnât too bad either.â Seb ordered two whiskeys before settling back to talk with the other. âIâm going to give you a taste of what Iâm having, if thatâs okay with you,â he added, âIâm Sebastian, nice to meet you too.â
ofmickeyâ:
âwhew, whereâd your drink go?â mickey says with a giggle. and with that, he drains the last of his drink and starts crunching on the ice. âmickey. nice to meet you, sebastian.â mickey slides onto the chair next to the other man, leaning in close and murmuring suggestively, ânow, sebastian, you didnât plan on going home alone tonight, did you? i wouldnât want to burst your bubble.â
âiâm kind of a magician,â he said with a smirk, thanking the bartender after a moment that got him another one. âitâs nice to meet you too. itâs nice to see this bar is lively on a night like this.â Seb chuckled lightly as the other slipped in next to him. âiâm not sure what my plans were really. did you have other plans for me?âÂ
ecstsideâ:
ââMaking up ideas about dark and tall strangers at the bar? I wouldnât dare,ââ he said with a chuckle, slightly nodding to himself. ââMy assumptions had nothing to do with who you are as a person, though, it was a lot more primal, but donât question me about it Iâm a gentleman. Now, tell me, are you a fan of Greek Mythology?ââ He couldnât tell why it was so easy to jump from a subject to another, but it was. Mal smiled when Seb mentioned that it carried Zeusâ lightning bolts, it wasnât the first time someone mentioned that to him.Â
âPlease. Iâm sure thatâs a hobby of yours, honestly,â he teased back, âAh, if you say so. It makes me feel a little bit better about that original judgment though.â Sebastian looked over at the other, nodding at the question. âI like any kind of mythology. Iâm more partial to Roman myths, but Greek is just as good.âÂ
.
ecstsideâ:
ââIs it because the small one always misses its shots?ââ He questioned him, knowing there was a lot more to that story and he was eager to discover it. Mal didnât need to mention his misconception about brains like Sebastian, but he was pleasantly surprised by his meeting with the other male. ââIt takes a great mind, and a greater imagination to think of something as grand as that⌠People donât give you half the credit you deserve,ââ and he was talking about engineers in general.Â
ââDo you have a favorite constellation?ââ It was silly to ask, but he was relaxing by the other maleâ side and even if he didnât really know Sebastian, it felt like it. Mal moved slightly closer to him, but he kept his attention focused on the sky.
âno, the astroids hit it, but itâs too evolved to take any pain from the hits,â he said, shrugging âbut there are probably a million other galaxies where the big planet loses and weâll never know. weâre the smallest thing in the universe.â He looked over the other after his comment, chuckling, âWho doesnât give me that credit? Weâve just met. Or did you make up some ideas about me at the bar?â sebastian was teasing and not any bit offended by what the other meant, but he couldnât pass up the opportunity to mess with someone. âAquila is my favorite. It lines up perfectly with the earthâs equator,â Seb said, grabbing the otherâs hand to point it. âItâs right there. Follow your hand with your eye. Aquila is a beautiful eagle that has been mentioned in many old mythologies. My favorite is that it carried Zeusâ lightning bolts for him.â
ofmickeyâ:
an easy smile replaces his previous frown. âthat sounds tempting,â he hums, biting his bottom lip as he meets the otherâs gaze. their eye contact is then broken by the bartender placing the correct drink in front of mickey. âfinally,â he moans, taking a long drink from the glass before placing it back down on the counter. âwhatâs your name, handsome?â
âiâm great at tempting, thatâs just the beginning,â he joked, downing his glass quickly once it was placed in front of him. Sebastian placed his card down to order another, hoping to get close to the level of the man next to him. âIâm Sebastian, you?â
Before that very moment; Mal never stopped himself thinking about how astronauts and people into astrophysics were seeing their line of work⌠There was something unreachable, and mystic, about that kind of job â and he shamefully always thought they had a very rational point of view about their work. When Sebastian described it as a form of art, he felt his heart twist in a way that forced him to smile to himself.Â
ââI wouldâve thought youâd talk about physics and engineering first⌠is it because itâs me, or is it really how you picture it?ââ It was fair to ask. ââWhat are you studying, exactly? Astrophysics?ââ He was trying to figure out if heâll be allowed to use the phrase âit isnât rocket scienceâ anytime soon.
Sebastian smiled, taking a moment to think about how to word his thoughts about his interest. He currently encountered people who had misconceptions about what he loved but didnât find it offputting. âI do study engineering. My senior thesis is a space station people could actually build a life in,â he said as his eyes fixated on the stars. âItâs the only place Iâve ever felt at home and Iâve never been,â Seb said, trying not to sound depressing, âDid you know that two galaxies away two stars orbit each other? The young one somehow orbits astroids to attack the big one, but the big one never gets hurt.âÂ
ofmickeyâ:
âno, no, no,â mickey slurs, leaning over the bar to make himself clearer to the bartender. âi wanted a whiskey on the rocks, not neat.â he lets out a long sigh. âgod, just cause youâre sexy doesnât give you the right to get a guyâs order wrong.â
when another man came and sat down next to him and ordered a whiskey ginger, mickey nearly shouted at the bartender:Â âget this one right, and iâll pay for the handsome gentleman.â
sebastian would be lying if he said he wasn't amused with what was transpiring in front of him. âi appreciate that,â he said, offering up a smile. âmaybe we can have a drink together, then go home? iâd hate to see you leap at that gorgeous man and ruin that face,â he joked.Â
ecstsideâ:
Malachy looked down at the other male, comfortably lying on the grass in the middle of the park, and he couldnât help to smile to himself. He didnât know what was going on, and his grey eyes looked up at the sky before lying down next to Sebastian. Mal put his hands in the pockets of his pants to realize how uncomfortable it felt, so he ended up crossing his arms behind his head to look at the stars over their heads. ââheyâŚÂ ever wonder what those sparkly dots are up there?ââ He mused, quoting the lion king.
Sebastian relaxed on the ground, letting out a deep breath he didnât know he was holding in. He was pulled out of his admiration with the otherâs comment, laughing lightly. âPumba, I donât wonder I know,â he said, looking at the other âFireflies.â Seb smiled at him, before looking back up the sky. âThis is me. I feel like this is a form of art and Iâm just a curator,â he spoke softly, âI learn everything I can about the art thatâs up there. Iâll never learn everything, but it feels like magic when I think of it. When I finally become an astronaut, I think Iâll be able to feel it all around me, not just in my heart and mind.âÂ
ecstsideâ:
ââyouâre the tallest Italian iâve ever met, for what itâs worth,ââ he randomly commented, realizing he was still smaller than the other male. Malachy was over six feet tall, 6â˛1â˛to be exact, and yet he was surprised he had to slightly look up when he got up from his seat and got his hand grabbed. ââAre you refering to the fact that Iâm all skin and bones?ââ He gently mused with a grin. He was just joking; and didnât add anything cause he was definitely the type of guy who gets cold easily. ââMaking me walk a few blocks, wow, my work out of the weekâŚââ He squeezed his hand playfully, before letting go of it to walk out of the bar, only to move a hand at the small of Sebastianâs back as they walked towards the mysterious place.Â
âit seems like you havenât met many of us, then. iâll take you to italy and change your mind,â he smiled before heading out of the bar. âIâm referring to the fact that itâs late fall and iâm taking you on an outdoor adventure,â seb said, nudging him. âyouâre a good amount of skin and bones.â sebastian hooked a left at the corner, walking up to the park. âyou can hop on my back while we go home if itâs too much trouble,â he said, going to his favorite spot. Sebastian laid down, gesturing for the other to do so. âlay here and look up.âÂ
thexbenxriveraâ:
While Ben was facepalming mentally, he kept his attitude cool and his face in a charming smile. âWith this? No⌠I just miscalculated. Got a little distracted by you, if Iâm honestâ he said with a wink as he lowered down his guitar in a gentle way, to avoid any other incidents. âAfter I got told I mixed up with some dates to play here, I was afraid I came here for nothing⌠but now you are here,â he said, drinking some of his beer and sighing. âA nice beer to drink and a handsome guy to hang out with. Lifeâs goodâ
Sebastian chuckled at the response, taking another big sip from his drink. He watched as the other got settled before responding again. âAh, if you keep a planner with you, it might fix that,â he said, knowing how helpful it was for himself. âThatâs very flattering, can I buy you another beer?âÂ
ecstsideâ:
ââyou always been this confident?ââ he scrunched up his nose, and nodded at the mention of a shot. his grey eyes trying to focus on the bartender as he poured two shots of whiskey for them. It wasnât his alcohol of choice but he could definitely enjoy the burning sensation down his throat if it came for free. ââwhere are you taking me?ââ He questioned Sebastian. Mal wrapped his fingers around the shot, making eyes contact with the other male. ââSalute,ââ he added, before drinking it down, closely followed by a small grin. ââDonât tell me,ââ Mal replied, mostly to himself. He wanted Seb to forget about his latest question.
âmy parents are from italy -- and i think italians invented confidence, so, yes,â he smirked. he thanked the bartender before closing out his tab. sebastian smirked at the comment, raising his glass before drinking it down in response. He shivered at the feeling before gathering his things. âYouâre bold to think Iâd let you know,â he responded, grabbing the otherâs hand. âCâmon, itâs a few blocks away,â he promised, âIâll make you warm if you get cold.âÂ
