so for amy’s fake life i’ve decided to lean into her parents’ profession as psychologists. it’s notably what she did her degrees in, too, but don’t let me get into her degrees or i’ll inevitably send you that stupidly long thread i wrote about them & her self-identity once. i’ve gotten deep into her and maybe it ought to be concerning she’s the one i chose to invest in but . . . there we go.
the main focal point of amy is she has a compulsive need to appeal to everyone, at least initially, but she often tires when they don’t put the same effort into connections and let’s say she can be . . . vicious when she feels slighted. ( if the fact she threw herself down the stairs at fifteen to blame it on an ex-friend doesn’t make this obvious . . . ) so if your character needs a certain influence in their lives, amy has a million faces — so many that she doesn’t know who she is amidst the rotating carousel of selves — so she can likely ‘ play the part. ’
she was a school it-girl, a childhood icon, an only child. i’ve made her a psychologist so she can undertake the very amy habit of storing information on people & learning about them to influence them but to also make her own facade-building more brilliant and informed.

in the relative calm of her fake life, amy was free of the suffocating influence of her salt-of-the-earth-missouri guy. now that she is remembering him, and all that she was willing to do to bring him to ruin . . . it’s safe to say she’s feeling cheated and unsettled.
