ELIXIR (usually shortened to XIR by fans) is a 10-membered co-ed group under Vulkan Entertainment. The group consists of Aki, Amaris, Arion, Calix, Hecatus, Naida, Ravyn, Shadow, Siren and Willow and debuted on 14th April, 2017 with the extended play ENTRANCE. The group is known for their visuals and magical concept. Little does the public know about who these individuals really are.

What did you want to express through the song?

Willow purses his lips in thought. "My initial idea was to make this easygoing, fresh kind of song. I wanted it to sound carefree, like something you could dance to in your room." He grins. "I personally enjoy the song and the vibe it gives off; it has this nostalgic charm to it and I'd probably play it when I'm up late at night," he laughs.

What message would you like to bring to the listeners?

"Um..." Willow mindlessly nods for a bit before replying. "Smile, jump, and look for the magic in things." He smiles before laughing shyly. "That was cheesy wasn't it? Oh, and play Arcade Lights on speaker," he chuckles.

Lastly, what do you think of your teammates?

"They're... cool? Everyone's got their charms and talents, and I think we all have something essential to Elixir. I don't think this would've worked if even one of us was out of the picture. Knowing that it'll be the ten of us forever is what keeps me going."

THE ELIXIR PROJECT: AKI'S EXPRESSION

Why name the song 'Expression'?

"Because that was more or less my intention with the lyrics." Aki shifts in her seat. "This song is an ode to how I interpret, and therefore express, romance. The lyrics talk about how one can stumble into love and just keep falling. I don't know; it was the first thing that came to mind when first making the song, and I went with it." she chuckles.

What's your relationship with your fellow members? Have things been going in your favour leading up to debut?

"I can't deny that there's been disputes among the members, but we're consistently getting more comfortable with each other. For me, I'm closer to the younger members; our friendships just formed naturally compared to the others. As for debut preparations, it's mostly going well. There were minor setbacks, but we got over them all." She smiles meekly.

Do you think things will get easier after debut?

Aki puffs out an exhale. "No. Definitely not. But we'll do our best to make things work. I can proudly say that the ten of us put all our effort into everything. So if our group's fated to work out, then that's all to it."

What's the story behind the song?

Siren smiles. "It's a love song, of course. I wanted to express something bold and fit my style, so Precarious came to be. The creative process was really interesting so I made sure to contribute all that I could. I personally really enjoy the song, so I hope the listeners do too."

Do you have any words on this predebut project that the ten of you are involved in?

"I like the gist of the Elixir Project." Siren states. "Since our group already has a concept in mind, it was refreshing to be able to make music that showcased our individual charms. I think you'll get to know a bit about us just by listening to the songs we made. It's cool, really."

Would you be willing to do solo projects like these in the future?

"Oh, definitely. The members have discussed this too. Maybe when we have a slower schedule from time to time, we can work on solo projects for the fans. I'd also like to make content that makes people say, 'oh, so this is what Siren's style is,' you know? I'd be more than happy to make music that shows my distinct colour."

THE ELIXIR PROJECT: CALIX'S NO RUSH

Tell us a bit about your single.

Calix grins. "When we were told about the project, I knew immediately how I wanted my song to be made. The lyrics, put simply, describe the point in a relationship where you hold this certain wonder towards the other. When you listen to the song, it makes you feel like, 'oh, this is what falling in love feels like.' I think that this song is also light and fun. It makes you wanna enjoy things as they are, you know, no worries, no rush." he laughs.

Do you have a message prepared for your members?

He squints at the camera, chuckling. "For the members? Um, let's work harder and get to know each other more, I guess."

Lastly, for the viewers and your potential fans, do you have any words for them?

"Watch out, world," he smirks, pulling finger guns at the camera. "We're coming at ya with a whole new kind of magic."

THE ELIXIR PROJECT: HECATUS' MONACHOPSIS: MISPLACED

ELIXIR PROJECT | ARTIST INTERVIEW

The title of your single is peculiar. How did you come up with it?

Hecatus purses his lips, stilling himself while thinking of an answer. "It's a term I resonate with." he explains. "The whole song talks about trying to find a place for yourself. This is pretty personal now that I think about it," Hecatus smiles. "I think I've always had to prove myself wherever I went, whatever I did. This song... it's a testimony to that." he nods slowly.

You've attracted some fans after the resurfacing of your old videos. Thoughts?

He smiles. "It's nice to know that people appreciate my music. But uh, that's pretty much it. A little recognition doesn't make me more special than the other members. In fact I want to work harder because fans know what to expect from me."

How does it feel, knowing that you'll finally make your way to the big stage?

Hecatus draws out a sigh. "Exhilarating." A small smile leaves his lips as he lowers his head. "I've been at the company for a while now; so the idea of debut is such a big deal to me. I'll truly work hard to give the fans my best performances." he grins proudly.

THE ELIXIR PROJECT: AMARIS' PROMISE; OF THE STARS

We've been told that you participated a lot in composing the song; where did you find muse for it?

Amaris smiles upon hearing the question. "Um, to start off, the song touches on the concept of fate. While thinking of the lyrics, I tried focusing on the dejection you feel when someone you love is far from you. You give your all, to the point that you rely on wishes in hopes that you can be with them again."

You sound like you're taking inspiration from personal events. Would this be the case?

"Oh, no," she chuckles while waving her hands. "I wrote it from the perspective of someone who finds solace in providing comfort. I tried projecting the emotions through the lyrics so that I could give off the right feeling."

What would you like to say to the listeners about the song?

"Promise; of the stars expresses hope and wishful thinking, and that you never know when someone's looking up at the stars for you." She pauses, chuckling quietly. "I hope the listeners feel the same comfort that I did whenever the song plays." Amaris' smile brightens. "Please listen to it a lot guys! Let's share our hope and hearts through it." she grins meekly, before giving a few kisses to the screen.

THE ELIXIR PROJECT: SHADOW'S FORETHOUGHT

How did you come up with the concept of your solo?

The camera focuses onto Shadow's face, who laughs quietly. "I actually came up with the title long before working on the song. I liked the meaning of the word 'forethought' and the feeling that came with it. If you read the lyrics it sounds romantic, doesn't it? But I actually found muse in a fellow member who I see as a sister." He nods to himself before speaking again. "I really put a lot of thought into it."

It sounds like you're close with your members. How so?

"We shared a lot of efforts and struggles when we decided to become trainees. That teamwork builds up naturally in the environment we're in. We're making a big move by putting ourselves out into the world. I hope that I can build a long-lasting bond with the members in time."

You gained some recognition as the 'ethereal trainee' whose photos were accidentally leaked by the company. What are your personal thoughts on the matter and the company's incompetence?

Shadow grins. "That was funny, I have to say. But the company surely could've done better. Oh well; it happened and we learned from it. Why was it only my photo though?" he comments jokingly.

Could you tell us how you found inspiration for your single?

Ravyn's eyes light up at the question. "My co-leader, Shadow. It's strange," she remarks. "We have this... really strong siblingly bond, and I just found myself finding muse in him after being stuck for a while. The song is like my letter to him. It's the things I could never share with him even when I wanted to. It's quite personal, but I'm sure a lot of listeners can relate to it."

You're a group with ten members. Do you think it's hard to lead the other nine?

"No, not when Shadow's there to help me. And all ten of us work hard to communicate our opinions with each other. Shadow and I are just like mediators in the team."

What do you think is most exciting after debut?

"The answer's obvious," Ravyn smiles sheepishly. "Bonding with fans. I don't know, I find it fascinating how so many people can come together through music. I also want to share my heart, and my thoughts? Yeah. To the fans. I'd like all of us to be good friends with our future fans."

What's your single about?

"I had my fun making the song. There's not much to it other than the energy I wanted to emanate," she nods enthusiastically. "I'm pretty anxious of thrilling events and stuff." she chuckles. "King of Swords is kinda, what I want to be? Yes. That's what I'm working towards. A happy and carefree Naida."

What do you want the listeners to take from the song?

"The same thing that I did," Naida chuckles shyly. "Live... life... and try new things! And take pride in yourself!" she gestures. "That was cheesy I'm sorry," Naida laughs.

Anything you'd like to say to your members who you'll be debuting with soon?

"Elixir! Let's rock this world!" Naida laughs, pumping a fist into the air.

THE ELIXIR PROJECT: ARION'S NOSTRUM: DISFIGURED

Could you tell us what this song is about?

Arion huffs out a breath. "There's a personified muse that's brought out throughout the song. My intention was to shape the song to tell a story; where someone's attached to their special person in a way that they become a sort of remedy you can't live without. I tried to express this sort of longing?" He hums, tapping his chin as he tried to draw out his response. "There's also this sort of wistfulness in the lyrics when the muse seems to be getting farther from me. I tried to evoke that sort of feeling," he expresses.

What's an interesting fact you can share about yourself?

"I've got perfect vision." Arion grins, pointing at the screen and winking.

How about a message to the listeners?

"Please give Nostrum: Disfigured a lot of love! And I hope that a lot of people show support to the Elixir Project. It's a way to know the members and our colors in a way that we could best express. Yup! That's gonna be all!" he chuckles, waving at the screen as it goes dark.

they're so cool and the mv is Beautiful *gab clapping sounds*

the mv screams 'we rule the world' vibes and they do

hello visuals

there isn't much of a storyline element in the mv, just shots of the members in extremely aesthetic sets

the magic theme went perfectly with the saturated colours of the mv

its either a full-blown canvas of colour, or bursts of different hues poking out of the darkness

group shots!

the set was overall so enchanting~

a lot of things were going on in the mv- fire, flowers, shafts of light, bursts of the members' powers manifesting in different elemental forms :33

every member had a chance to allure the viewers as the scenes flitted between the ten

there was a sort of... chaotic beauty in the mv's aesthetic

this was reflected in the song itself with its cacophony of sounds merged into melodies that captured Elixir's colour perfectly

with the magic, melody, mess and the scenes threaded seamlessly together

Elixir delivered their message: this was going to be their world, and they have only shown a sliver of their potential

ENTRANCE 🌠

ENTRANCE is the debut EP of ELIXIR, released on April 14th, 2017. After a long wait from the sudden Elixir Project which showcased all the individual members strengths, they finally debuted as Elixir. They released the song on digital platforms as well as physically, promoting their title track for around 3 weeks.

a lot commented that vk debuted a visuals group

all jokes aside though, everyone anticipated the debut of elixir since their singles were released and they Served

the vocals. the rap. the choreo. everything was beautiful!

that one fan who said they'd release bops was right

people also liked the group's styling a lot

although... there were mixed feelings about Elixir being a coed

but no one could question the fact that it was an awesome debut

Shadow, Ravyn and Naida had the most daunting hair colours. Shadow had plum purple hair, Ravyn had a deep red in a bobcut and Naida's soft waves sported a bright cobalt blue.

Aki, Amaris, Hecatus and Willow stayed with the classic brown

meanwhile Calix, Arion and Siren had varying shades of blonde hair

the entire group shared commonly styled fits through the era: they wore either deep blue or black-sequined fits

they were Gorgeous.
