My secret penpal sent me a book!!! I have no other words!
Round 1 CLOSED
All right, in light of the mixed reports of folk sending/receiving mail and my limited time to monitor this, I’m going to relinquish everyone from their penpal duties (at least, my part in them!) Thus, at the end of May, this program will come to a close.
Please feel free to continue to send letters/packages to your penpal if you would like, reveal your identity, exchange info, what have you. I apologize to those who sent mail but did not receive it! Unfortunately life got in the way of a few senders and I was not made aware of it until a few days ago, and thus unable to reassign penpals accordingly. Apologies to those who sent mail but did not receive it.
Regardless, I hope everyone had fun, and continues to find fun things to send friends (old and new alike) in the future.

I kept forgetting to photograph these and now two months have passed, so here is a mix of the stuff my secretpenpal has sent me thus far. I am so in love with the owl notebook that I’m afraid to actually write anything in it, and I’m also afraid to use the handmade Lynch bookmark … because well, this is generally what happens to my bookmarks:

I got home from uni and my secret pen pal letter was waiting! It’s a very cool photo with a quote by Derrida on the back, a silver charm, and a handwritten cryptic letter. My pen pal has given me a puzzle! I am so happy, thank you secret pen pal!

Hey all! Is everyone getting their packages out/received? How’s everything going so far?
Got my secret pen pals packages at the same time!! Or, I just didn’t check my mail for a few days… Anyway, I ended up getting two?! One from my anonymous pen pal and the other from the amazing operator of this whole thing in a pen pal prize pack!! My pen pal sent me a cute note, scented donut and marshmallow stickers, and puppy magnets! Hayden sent me gummy bears, tea, chocolate, a bookmark, and even threw something in for the kittens…they already stole their toys, so they’re not pictured. They were obviously greatly appreciated. Thank you so much to both my anonymous pal and Hayden Marie!! Totally made my day. haydenmariecreations

So at the end of the cycle, will there be some sort of reveal of who everyones pen pal is, or is that down to the individual? Maybe this has already been asked/answered. Thanks anyway, have a spectacular day!
Well, what do you guys think? I’d be HAPPY to do a fun reveal in a few months, or it can be up to you! I really wanted this entire process to be easy, laid back, with no rigid rules (aside from sending mail!).

So I got a letter from my secret penpal! I saw it was just an envelope and wondered what my penpal could say, and was SO SURPRISED! when I found this hand-drawn and -painted image in there from my favorite movie ever!!!! The detail in the painting is outstanding, and I love their use of colors! This is going to go RIGHT on my wall!
Gah! Thank you, penpal! I’ve been having a rough 2015 month and this really cheered me up today!
