NIGHT WORLD

The Night World isn't a place. It's all around us. The creatures of Night World are irresistible to humans. There are only two laws in Night World. 1. Don't tell humans about Night World 2. Don't fall in love with a human But people began to find their soulmates and soon these rules were broken. People started to question the rules that kept them from their love and a rebellion began to brew, but it was quickly subdued. Soulmates were forgotten and life continued. But for how long?

It is with great sadness

that the admin team is announcing the closing of Night World. Between work, school and our own mental health we find ourselves unable to devote the amount of time to all you wonderful members that you deserve. We’d like to thank everyone who has stuck with us and helped us create this little corner of the universe. You are all wonderful and we wish you all the best. We hope that Night World was as fun for you as it was for us and that someday we’ll all see each other again.

Past;

The youngest of five no one had much time for Lucy. No one except her eldest brother Matthew, who was good enough to spend endless hours devoted to her amusement. She loved him just as much and spent many hours watching him and their grandfather work in the workshop. When Matt decided to go off to war Lucy was the only member of their family who supported him. She promised to wait for him to come home. And wait she did, For six years Lucy waited. But at the age of eighteen, and facing a distasteful arranged marriage, she left home to find her big brother. Slowly Lucy made her way south. She asked soldiers she met about Matthew Greene, but found nothing. Not even a whisper of him. Her quest was nearly cut short by a bout of influenza that nearly killed her. Nearly because her doctor, a witch, cast a spell on her that ensured she wouldn’t die until she found Matthew. As the years past her hopes of finding her brother faded. Still she scoured graveyards and towns. She found nothing. Determined to do something good with her long life Lucy became a teacher. She had a tendency to get herself into trouble by disagreeing with the textbook. As a result she moved around often. Yet no where she went did she find her brother. Her only connection to Circle Daybreak is tenuous. Having lived so long she knew when she saw history in the making. Lucy listened and learned about the rebels, hoping some day to write a book. She does have a particular frustration with the lack of historical records for Night World.

Present;

Lucy no longer remembers Circle Daybreak, but she hears whispers. She still hopes to some day compile a history of Night World, the first in existence. At the local university Lucy teaches several US history courses and is known both for her wonderful advice and her tendency to disagree with the textbook. Part of her still believes that her brother is alive somewhere in the world.

Personality;

Despite her quick tongue Lucy is a kind soul. The long years had granted her some insight into the suffering of humanity. In many ways the opposite of her brother she is talkative and bubbly. Still they share a certain determination to see justice. Lucy has never been one to stand by and witness cruelty. Despite her generally sunny disposition her temper burns bright although not for every long. She’s been called a airhead, even though she is rather book smart, but she does have a tendency to lose track of conversations while trying to hold too many things in her head at once.

How would a character discover/rediscover their soulmate?

For a soulmate to discover their soulmate, whenever soulmates touch, there is a spark, almost like static electricity but stronger that runs through both parties when their skin comes in contact. Only when it’s skin on skin though, and even something as simple as a graze of a hand would be enough to trigger that spark. And until the two realize they are soulmates, the spark persists each time they touch. From there, if they want to regain their memories, one of them has to die for the other and the soulmate bond will bring back the one who has died that one time and this will also restore all memories of their past to both soulmates. I just want to say, that I remember being in this rp a long time ago. It was my first group roleplay and I'm happy it's still hung around. I find that amazing! Thank you guys for still being around and clearly doing a great job of it. Who knows, maybe I'll come back. :)

Unfortunately in the Night World universe only the original shifter can become a dragon and sadly she is an NPC. I know its not the same, but perhaps a shifter who becomes a Komodo dragon

With the holidays and finals we have been a little slow, but I can promise you a wonderful community of dedicated people who are always willing to plot and play with any member. Usually we have atleast one member online posting at most times of the day.

Between the admins, there is no preference. I don’t know if our players have, but please, send us something if you guys have any preference between Maggie and Hannah. :) But we encourage you to choose the character you feel more connected with.
