omg no ur beyond fine! i totally get it since i said some crazy stuff abt releasing it much earlier lmfao. sorry i’ve been a little silly…i had this original idea but i didn’t like the direction it went (where that one deleted scene kinda comes from); i’ve since fleshed out a “new and improved” version lol. just need work out the dialogue and finer details as i type it all out!

i was able to work on it today (yay!) and i’m at 2.6k words as of right now! plus i’m almost done with midterms and xmas break is coming soon :P

"Before you can knock on his door, it hits you in the face.

You scream, grabbing at the man’s shoulders, unwillingly dragging him down with you. Lying on the floor, he’s on top. Now, in any other situation you would be praising Jesus, hallelujah! Instead, your back hurts and your nose is all bloody. You touch it, and it hurts like hell, but thankfully it hasn’t broken.

Doug stares back, visible concern lacing his features; his reaction delayed by shock. “Are you all right?” He finally asks, his hands beside either side of your head, the only thing keeping him from completely lying on top of you.

You blush, seemingly the only one of you that notices your current position. Slowly, you bring your hand up to your nose. “Well, it’s not broken.” You absentmindedly notice the blood on your fingers before re-focusing your gaze onto the man above you. Doug stares back, his eyes wide, intense, searching."

just started the doug davis x reader oneshot! before i go to bed, i wanted to show y’all a brief paragraph/way-too-long sentence from the first 250 something words typed up so far:

“You loved your students dearly, but coming home to your shitbox apartment and bare fridge, you realized you were in your late twenties, still eating Cup O’ Noodles just like you used to in a dorm of the same size.”
