Coroico: Where Vacation is an adventure
Sure you can go to Coroico to sit by the pool and relax. But it would hardly be worth $ 2, three-hour tour of the most dangerous roads in the world. Coroico is where your vacation becomes an adventure, where you can stretch your legs go to a cascading waterfall in the morning, visit a coca plantation in the afternoon, eat fondue in the evening and soak in a hot tub surrounded by jungle foliage, before heading off to bed . Located approximately 190 kilometers from La Paz, Bolivia, Coroico is a subtropical wonderland, a necessary escape from the cold, treeless areas of the Altiplano. With warm, sunny days and cold, calm nights, Coroico welcomes you to his mountainous retreat, and you probably will not want to leave. Coroico has become home to a sizeable international community, and it is not difficult to understand why. Perhaps best known for being placed on "the most dangerous road in the world", has the trip to Coroico become much safer in recent years. While still some time in the side of a mountain range whose cliffs of up to 1000 meters, dotted with headstones and definitely not for the faint of heart, has recently paved road and detour from the original road that once led visitors to Coroico. Nevertheless, it is an amazing visual experience, where the bare hills of the height gradually give way to the lush, shocking green subtropical forest. But many adrenalin-seeking visitors still likely to ride down the infamous old road bike. Ride, which can be arranged from La Paz and Coroico, starting about halfway down the new highway, at a club with the old road, and is a full downhill blast all the way to Coroico. Considered one of the most exciting rides in the world, it should not be missed by the adventurous tourist. Once in Coroico, there are many popular walks, ranging in distance from 2 hours to 4 days, which offers full immersion in the natural wonders of the area. Destinations include waterfalls, swimming holes, organic farms, coffee plantations and cook tops with stunning views. For anyone interested in traditional agriculture, ecology or natural history is Coroico a big jump-off to explore the surroundings. In housing, Coroico has a wide selection to choose from, ranging from five-star hotels with hot showers, cable TV, and room service to the eco-hostel. My favorite is Sol y Luna Hostel, a forest terrain with interlacing paths that lead to private cottages, each unique and amazing in its own way. The owner, a German-turned Bolivian woman, encourage separation of waste, low-impact living and healthy practices like yoga and massage, which she would like to share with visitors! And when it's time to refuel your body after many adventures, there are quite a few restaurants and cafes to choose from, reflecting the many international guests who have made their home Coroico. International cuisine includes Mexican, French, German and Italian, and of course traditional Bolivian dishes are offered in most restaurants. Cafe de la Senda Verde, which lies just off the Plaza offering home-roasted organic coffee and wonderfully rich brownies, and is a perfect end to the late afternoon surge. If you are lucky enough to find yourself in Coroico with little time, take advantage. It is one of the Jem of a city that at first glance does not look like much, but when you start exploring, there is a new adventure to embark upon every day. Maybe you just never want to leave.

Amantani, Lake Titicaca, Peru: My relaxing moments in foster Quechua
After a traumatic night in Pisco, Peru, having been present during the great earthquake that virtually destroyed the city on August 15, I was in need of some rest, peace and tranquility. I found exactly what I was looking for a few days later on the island Amantani, which is in the middle of the lake shimmering turquoise waters Titicaca.I started my journey from the dock in Puno, with a return Two days boat ticket cost me 30 soles (about $ 10 USD). After a quick stop on the floating islands of Uros, we traveled over three hours, until the floating dock Amantani. When we arrived we were greeted by the island residents who organized the newcomers and the host families designated for us. The stay with the foster family, including delicious homemade meals and a nice hike cost 30 soles per person. Amantani each family is only allowed to receive visitors once a month to maintain their culture and maintain a tourism fair in the hands of the islanders. My husband and I were paired and two French travelers were headed by Juana, a woman in her twenties Quechua pleasant in his house. During the ten minute walk, I discovered that plain looking decks I had seen from offshore were actually complex paths of stone walls and terraces were zig- zag across the island, making it feel as if we were walking through a maze in paradise. When we arrived we met ten year old daughter of Juana Maria, his old grandfather, who is Spanish, was laced with a strong emphasis Quechua, and her grandmother who spoke only Quechua. We were given a comfortable room with a view over the island and the sparkling waters surrounding us. Women began working in the kitchen on fire as they prepared us a delicious lunch. We then had free time to relax, walk, and talk to the family. At 15 o'clock we were led by Juana and Maria, both dressed in traditional skirts with beautifully embroidered black scarves, the winding stone path to the town square. We have grouped with other foreigners and their host families and began the ascent beautiful Pacha Tata, one of the two sacred hills of the island. Once on top we were rewarded with spectacular views over the lake and mountains covered with snow, both from Bolivia and Peru Lake. There is a ceremonial site above Pacha Tata can only be accessed once a year during the traditional festival during which half the population of the island makes a pilgrimage to Pacha Tata and the other half goes to Pacha Mama, the sacred hill of others. We stayed at the top Pacha Tata to see a sunset from another world, then headed down the center. We tasted the meat grilled alpaca and returned to the house of our host-family. Like most families have no electricity Amantani was given to us to our room by candlelight. That night I slept deeply. The next morning, wake to the sounds of birdsong and the lack of honking cars and engines humming, I knew I had found the peace that I had lost earlier in the week during the earthquake, and j 'I was glad I had the opportunity to share that peace with the family I had stayed with Amantani.

Leave the country? Travel planning tips for students and travelers
They plan to leave the country at any time in the next six months? Will you take advantage of your university or college abroad next semester? Perhaps you have grandparents native to Greece or Italy, and you have decided to visit them and learn a little about your ethnic culture. Whatever the reason, if you travel abroad any time in the near future, it is probably a smart idea to plan to prepare for the journey now. Leaving the country, takes a little extra work, and often, a little more scared than typical domestic travel to see you back to your home to the parents. There are legal measures that are backed up and doing other small tasks that you need to in the dorm or apartment, the life behind can be sure it is as safe as the new world you create just international. Some things do require more than others, and the longer you plan to be gone, which are more of these there. But even if you work better under the pressure of last minute planning, you may want to skim at least on this list of reminders now to ensure that you are not caught by the day, you scurry to leave the country trying to convince government authorities as to why your expired passport you should allow on the plane. All other students would be busy trying to figure out which alcoholic beverage they want for the first time will be served during the flight (international flights allow underage drinking). They should be. Of course there are many preparations should I account when planning to leave the country, but there are three main issues that probably the most important and should be addressed first. They are listed below.First and maintain primarily or update your passport. For any last-minute people, always make sure your passport up to date and legally permissible, the number one on your to-do list before you leave the country. And remember early. Even if everything else, the packaging and pre shopping comes to life even the process of searching for a place in your new country before one week, your passport is something that can not be absolute. It is advisable to plan on applying for your new passport at least three months before your departure. Although it does not always work, which is long and rush service for an additional cost, it sometimes takes several weeks to get a passport after submitting the relevant documents and application. Also, remember that mistakes happen and enough time to provide a preview of the new card to its accuracy or enough time to send it back to be renewed is smart to allocate around. Travel to a new location is obviously a great venture you do no such thing as false legal documentation by a market participant data typo in mind to keep your trip. To apply for a passport you need the proper identification (driver's license or state issued ID card is preferred with photo), proof of U.S. citizenship (birth certificate or SS card), two color photos of about 2x2 cm and complete an entry pass application form. An official of fit can either be obtained from your local state passport if you are one of the nearest court house or to have your U.S. Post Office. Usually at the post office there is a special window exclusively for passport applicants. You might want to check with your local office to find out the time it is open to the service, we are holding a number of cities and towns obscure hours. Photos for your passport consist of a recent close up head shot, how to get it made at the Department of Motor Vehicles for your license. Most of One Hour Photo places and even some tourist-friendly novelty stores in larger cities often takes passport photos and print them for you on the spot. Or you could go one of those (debatably, silly) photo booth in the mall or your local trendy ice and taken a few shots with your favorite curtained background color. A passport is valid for ten years from the date on which you will be sent. If you already have a valid passport, make sure that the expiration date is taking place at a time when you absolutely sure that you are back in the United States. It would be extremely difficult if not impossible to re-enter the U.S. or from abroad nowhere else to go beyond borders, so that if your passport is valid. So be sure to plan ahead! For more information on licensing and use of a passport, go to the country to leave Passport ServicesBe financially prepared to leave country another great preparation for traveling students and / or last-minute travelers should be prepared to leave for a long time before the country for a period of time is the money situation. While some foreign currency attractions and venues could accept the United States, this is not an issue in which it be wise to would press your luck. Take some American dollars with you always, it's always good to have your own money for the security, and you can always replace as you go along, step by step to the foreign bank. This is actually a useful alternative to exchange all your money at your bank ahead of time, simply because the exchange rates abroad are often lower and you will get more back. However, should students and travelers a little at a time, exchange, and should not designate cash as the only way to get around financially. Students and travelers want some foreign currency is as wise to them at all times, in the U.S., but with technology always more advanced world, there are alternatives to dollar coins, which are comparatively better and safer. Below is a brief comparison of the bank or ATM / debit cards, credit cards, and American Express (or AMEX) Travelers Cheques and foreign currencies. Foreign CashIt is important that before you leave for your trip abroad some time to familiarize yourself with the new money familiar if you've never seen you before. Foreign money is often much more extravagant in color and design as our bills and issues that you would like to believe that you have never, like say for example, confusing, fifty had for a twenty, are rather just for lack of experience comfort and safety To begin with the foreign money. Fortunately, many countries are now using a standard form of currency, the euro, which is good in any of them. In January 1999 the euro the general form of currency in all eleven states in the European Monetary Union was used. These countries are: Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Australia, Portugal and Finland. The implementation of this form of payment and will save students and travelers time and effort if you are about to travel around once you are in the States and plan in your new home away from home. Many student programs promote this trip and it is often an important part of the curriculum abroad. Keep some American money, of course, just to be sure, but make sure that the currency which you can meet the newly updated forms. Many tourists have experienced problems or at least, significant delays when trying to use old U.S. money abroad as a forgery problem. To see information on currency exchanges following website: www.xe.net / uccAmerican ChequesTravelers Express Travelers Cheques are a good idea, because they are practically everywhere, including the United States adopted, in case you come back with some. They are convenient for students and travelers that several countries in the region, they are exploring themselves. Traveler's checks can persuade students and other travelers over the world with ease, making some of the anxiety that may come along with trying a way to find her money back and exchange between different countries. Traveler's checks can a less attractive idea, on the other hand, because it is a bit of bureaucracy that comes with them. Shall levy a fee to redeem some of the institutions of the checks. Moreover, contrary to your credit card or ATM card, traveler's checks if you lose, you can not exactly get your money back. There is less of a chance that someone spend in a position to them, because if one can follow the rules, you will you sign the receipt (only once!-More bureaucracy problem for the second time must be before the clerk to pay you!) but actually get that money back company-would probably far too much effort and perseverance with your hometown bank manager than what even close to as valuable it.Credit cards and ATMs cardsFortunately that are most credit cards accepted worldwide for a huge majority of the locations. Students should have no problem with their credit cards (Visa and MasterCard most widely accepted) in most hotels and other places where tourists tend to stay. You can not get away as soon as they leave the country, but with this as the only source of payment, however, how many times people tend to do in the States, from day to day. So students and travelers should expect or not expect their cards are accepted, but be grateful when they are. This form of payment will generally not charge you an exchange rate and in most cases your credit card statement will arrive with the costs shown in manageable quantities USA. Not to mention it is easy to carry and easy to cancel if you ever lose. Students should travel with at least two credit cards, for the purposes of a few fuses. Credit card machines and automated transactions across multiple vendors can often be temperamental. For example, some credit card companies automatically decline transactions above a certain dollar amount if the cardholder is usually a light spender. This can be quite a pain when trying to purchase a last minute plane ticket or something else of a higher value. Students may want to take a little extra time on their travel arrangements on the phone the credit card companies and look for obstacles such as this would not be caught off guard in the middle. It should be noted that some banks hold similar restrictions on debit cards when the owner tried to make purchases with them. Although probably with a debit card / check cashing card for each student should carry when traveling and each can with a checking account to get one, you can always, if necessary (the bank time, but it order type), available cash from the ATM. The money comes directly from your bank account is very convenient, but you can be charged a fee for using a foreign ATM, and it's definitely a limit to how much you can withdraw. With a credit card, there is a limit, depending on your credit line and account constraints, but you probably will not put an additional fee for foreign transaction charge. The usual deposit with accrued interest will appear on your credit card statement as it would normally. The ATM card and all major credit cards, all have their own advantages and disadvantages, so it's really just a matter of personal preference which one to use if for. It might also be noted that we withdraw large amounts of cash from inside the bank with a credit card as opposed to using the ATM. This is generally accepted as a standard credit card payment transaction is known and you will be charged the same interest as you would from the ATM. On the following website you can cash machines worldwide, where you can withdraw cash with your credit card or debit card: www.mastercard.comWhere to stay and how to get there as soon as you take care of countryFinally a matter of dire importance to the student traveler advance is a safe and comfortable accommodation for at least the minimum time he or she wants to spend abroad secure. Now it is understandable that you want to so-called "play it by ear", for the spontaneity of things, especially if they are not sure what specific goals they are traveling in and through. That's good. It works well and can add a ton of excitement about a trip or longer stay away from home. However, no one likes stranded, especially in an unknown place where communication can be strained and crime can be a problem. Therefore, students and travelers would be wise to find at least some research ahead of time online, order, back-up plans are sold at their hotel or the prices have somehow exploded. One can never be produced, how such things happen very often. Sun to find out how much you spend on accommodation and research options that are best to spend it for you. Almost as bad as being stranded is to succumb to a night at the most expensive hotel in town, because it is the only one who can see only to find out the next day that was hidden in an alley around the corner seems to be a very nice, friendly students and much much cheaper, open hostel with many places. And together with your home, you should study your options of transportation. How large is the area you plan to spend? How much are taxi and how far and often you bring? Is there public transportation such as buses or subway subway or tram, or rent, you need a car? How much cost of each of these methods, what are their opening times, etc. These are all things to think about before students should get on the plane leaving the country. The most important question is how you will start from your destination to your hotel or wherever you live? Learning area and way around it is the key to your trip as successful and stress-free as possible. Combine that with confidence about your financial situation and confident that your passport and other documents you get in and out each country's requirements, if necessary, and you should be all set. Of course there are many other measures students and travelers should take a long time before their departure from the United States, but if one of their trousers, want to fly many of these tasks, provided that they are going to obstacle-free, provided can pretty last minute. But remember, passport, money and transportation are three things that can not. And chances are, no matter how much you enjoy the last minute thrill, you will be relieved that these three themes are care when you are finally taken out of the country. This way you can worry about the finer things like, what attractions you go to hit first, and what outfit you should wear on the level and what on earth are you going to do during this treacherous long time in the air.
