4/1/2026 BLOG POST MIRROR
part 1
ahahahaha i love lying heres the rest of the blog post :)
Hi Seedflap. I have played the metal gear solid. His name is David??? Something something Snake. Something something Psycho Mantis. I don't have anything funny to say that isn't just the memes everyone quotes. Somehow this is the first time I've really seen anything from the game. It was more enjoyable than I expected and it made me laugh a few times. I couldn't take the alert sound effect seriously though and the ending was pretty solid.
Have a clowny night :o) -digitalAnthomancy
HI SEED SNAKE. I'm back again after binging the game like i said i would. Oh boy FUCKING howdy was this game a time (10 fuckin hours of it). Playing it felt like I was in a pitch relationship with Hideo Kojima himself. Based purely on the amount of bullshit he put me through, i'd say the feelings of hate are QUITE STRONG. Here are my notes for the game, SHORT VERSION. tl;dr I enjoyed playing this game, thank you for the recommendation <3 - paleSelenite
7.5/10 Strong Start, weakened toward the ending due to bullshit mission objectives requiring exttensive back tracking and it felt like they were just padding run time.
I liked all the characters to be honest, especially Snow Wolf, Psycho Mantis, and Otacon.
Everyone felt tragic in a way, from Naomi to Liquid Snake. All were subjected to the harsh reality of war and the consequences of nations swinging their dicks around.
I enjoyed the gun and stealth play for the most part (i played on ez mode as recommended by the interwebs)
I really liked exploring and finding hidden and useful items but the movement in this game sucked ass; though i know its a product of its time
The gimmicks of the boss fights were neat, if frustrating at times, but i really liked how the game would just spoon feed you if you called someone
the 4th wall breaks in this game were actually humorous and got a chuckle out of me evereytime
the twists were surprisingly engaging and i enjoyed the subterfuge throughout the game.
dying a lot wasn't so bad cause every time i died i laughed at the ridiculous wails of my comrades
The fact that I had to kill liquid snake 4 times was OUTRAGEOUS HE SHOULD'VE DIED THE FIRST TIME THE MOTHER FUCKER.
SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE
I mean, overall, i did really enjoy myself. I can definitely see why this is a classic game. Thanks for the recommendation Solid Flap. Btw pasted below are the long version of my notes. Since I had to suffer at multiple points this game the least you could do is read all 10,355 characters of my long form review <3. BAI BAI - paleSelenite
Despite gushing about mgs in elementary school in order to be “niche” and “cool” cause it's reasonably old, this is the first time I've actually played it myself. The game is fun. The story falls short of what I remember, but at least Snake's voice is impossible not to love.
- churlishSwill
I kind of suck at this game and I died what felt like over 100 times during my playthrough. Action-stealth games aren't really my speed, rhythm games and visual novels are more my forte. I really, really, really liked having to "check the CD case" as well as Psycho Mantis reading your memory card and appraising your playthrough up to that point. That sort of meta-fuckery is extremely fun. It's why I've been so invested in Seedflap's existence as the sort of meta-fuckerer of the extended Homestuck canon. I pointed and yelled upon receiving the first Codec Call from Deepthroat. That's the Seedflap one!! That's why she's called that!!! Every single second that Otacon was on screen brought me utter glee. Pee your pants, otaku freak. Fuck you. I did fuck up with my legal copy and was forced to fight Liquid's cool helicopter and Sniper Wolf twice so that I could do the awesome disc switch. It's a pity we'll never see games that ambitious again because literally every game is satisfied being 250GB and PC exclusive. I additionally fucked up and got the Meryl ending instead of the Otacon ending which actually really upset me.

Trash Fucker
wow u guys actually played this? idk what any of u are talking about im 2 hot 2 play video games ahahahahahahahahahahaha ;)
Kept you waiting, huh?
This has to be one of the greatest games ever made. The main MGS saga is full of absolute masterpieces. However, I've found something pretty cool related to the "very first" game on the PlayStation. Turns out that there is an official board game adaptation of Metal Gear Solid, designed by Emerson Matsuuchi and released in 2024. One of the editions even comes with an original graphic novel made for this game (being the second graphic novel based on MGS). I decided to check it out with some of my friends, and it is actually very fun. You can play it stealthily, or you can just be a caveman and kill every guard you meet. The highlight of the game has to be the Psycho Mantis boss fight. I won't say anything about it but it might as well be one of the craziest things I've seen in a board game.
-From Argentina, playing 2nd Impact, Nt. (P.S. There's also a version of Risk based on MGS 4, but, as I just said, it is based on MGS 4. Guess you can try it out on Tabletop Simulator or something)
u played that board game of ur own free will huh :/ i was forced at gunpoint to play it by a cabal of evil nerds :( more like BORED GAME am i rite ahahahahahahaha ;)

Hi Seedflap. Here's troll Gerard Way. I didn't have time to draw the rest of My Chemical Romance, so just squint your ganderbulbs and pretend they're there. MCR is forever, it's not a phase.
On a side note, it finally happened. I pulled up your website in a quiet public space not realizing my phone's volume was on max. I don't think I need to explain what happened next, but let's just say the slide whistle sound effect felt like one second too long.

this is sooooooooo cute im gonna send this 2 him once im offplanet <3
Hi, Seedflap! MCR has been my favourite band since I was eight because I'm gay and have problems. Like you, my favourite MCR song is (probably, it's kind of impossible to choose just one) Famous Last Words, which was incidentally my MCR ground zero—TheShadowedOne1, a Youtuber who made Bionicle stop motion videos before his passing a few years ago, used it as the credits song for the finale of his Makuta series. Seventeen years later, I still remember how affected I was hearing it that first time. I found a Windows Media Player lyric video for it afterwards, saw another for The Sharpest Lives in the recommended tab, and plummeted down the punk/emo/alt-rock rabbit hole.
The 2023 reunion show was the best night of my life. Instead of crying about MCR alone in my room, or with my friends at a party, or in my university stats lab when they postponed the show for several years due to covid (bumping NZ from the first stop of the tour to the last), I got to scream and wail with thousands of panda-eyed strangers. Closest I've come to believing in God.
Now, can you PLEASE give us some troll MCR lore? I've waited literally half my life for this confluence and I nearly dropped dead in my chair when you didn't even tell us what sign troll Gerard Way is. I'm on my knees and entirely at your mercy.
Thanks,
Profaene
i got u darlin ;) troll gerard way has this sign
MCR rules tbh I'd say I gave it a listen for the mail but no they never leave my playlist
The Ghost of You is my fave <3

My Chemical Romance did not change my life, but my chemical romance sure did; I'm engaged to estradiol now, and I couldn't be happier.

You know, i've been on this planet for 25+sweeps, and it took me 26 sweeps to get introduced to MCR. Like... I'm sure i'd heard one of their songs before, but i just had no idea it was MCR playing. Upon learning this, all my friends called me an uncultured woolbeast and proceeded to indoctrinate me over the course of several weeks as if i was a prisoner in some circus jail. And to be honest, I came out for the better.
I used to only listen to Electronic music with no lyrics but now my mind is expanded, my eyes and heart opened to the Black Parade. MCR is a good band and anyone saying otherwise can suck on a mother grub's teat. Fuck em and rock on.
-paleSelenite
I've been told my sweep math is off and it's actually been 11.5+ sweeps lol ooops I promise i'm not as old as dirt.
yea the drones would get u if u were on planet that long hahahahahahaha no way an 11 sweep old would be on planet ;)
Dear Seedflap,
Thank you for sharing the musical acompiament known as troll my chemical romance with the readers of your newsletter. I have been in a period of much consternation as i prepare for my ordeals and the possibility that my time among our people will end regardless of any such effort applied from my person. The song you have delivered upon me has allowed peace to my heart by allowing me to understand that regardless of the outcome my works and interactions with others of our kind will remain beyond my passage into the void that lays past this corporeal form. Though I still wish to continue to explorations of this strange reality there is a heartening hope to the knowledge that the passages that make up my existence will continue on in the heart of my matesprit.
Best,
Lux
good luck with ur ordeals dont die pookie
You asked for an email about how Troll MCR changed my life, and so you're getting one. And definitely not a short one.
Before 2024, I only knew Troll MCR as that one band that made Na Na Na and that one band that a lot of people in most of the fandom circles I was in liked a lot. But I never really got into them for a bit. That was until, as previously stated... 2024.
I was browsing YouTube one day and stumbled upon Teenagers. And I decided: why not give it a spin? So, I listened to it... and fell in love with them. It fit where I was in life quite well, being a pretty anxious teenager who didn't know where I fit in the world, and the song was just an absolute banger. So, I began to listen to a bit more of their catalogue. Mostly stuff from The Black Parade, but a few from their other albums as well.
But the Troll MCR flame inside me didn't fully grow until 2025, when Long Live the Black Parade, their new tour, began. At that point, due to everyone talking about how their fifth album might be coming soon (which, at this point, I'm not sure if it is), I decided to go through all four of their previous albums to be all caught up. I also got into Homestuck a few weeks before the Troll MCR binge, but that's besides the point.
Their first two albums, which I will call Bullets and Revenge for short, were pretty good, but not amazing. They're the kind of albums where when you listen to the songs individually, you enjoy them a bit better. But then I got to The Black Parade.
Oh, the Black Parade.
I got to Disenchanted on my first listen through, thinking it was a good album but not really understanding the narrative that I'd heard about due to it being a concept album. So, I found a theory about the storyline on the internet, and went back.
Then it all clicked.
Troll MCR aren't just musicians. They're storytellers, people who structure songs in order to forge worlds and tell interesting stories. Danger Days further reinforced that idea, building a world that felt like a cross between Blade Runner and Power Rangers, and at that point, I was in love.
Sadly, due to the ever-increasing prices of concert tickets, I wasn't able to attend the tour. Also because of the fact that I live in the UK, but they're doing shows in the UK and we still can't afford everything we need to go see them, so that's irrelevant. But my love for MCR remains strong, and I hope that some day, I'll get to see them live and truly join the Black Parade.
Anyways, there's a high chance that you don't see this, but even if you don't... I honestly don't really care. Any reason to revisit the start of my love for Troll MCR is a good reason in my book, and I actually enjoyed writing this, so even if this gets lost in the many emails you get, that won't be an issue for me. That's all I have to say today.
Sincerely, SburbiaOverture
2 bad ms seedflaps not here cuz she would have nutted straight from the bloodpusher over this e mail ;)
I have done myself a favour and listened to The Black Parade again. Famous Last Words, Welcome to the Black Parade, and House of Wolves are some of my favourite songs ever.
The only music I listened to as a wriggler was whatever was on the radio or music I heard in movies. 3 sweeps ago a friend showed me MCR, then I proceeded to listen to them none stop for a few months. It was a real problem. Eventually I settled out of that, but never got sick of their music. How could you?
Thank you, Seed, for acknowledging music that totally matters. If anyone hasn't heard MCR, they must drop all current activities do so immediately.

so true <3
Colour me surprised that this band isn't called "My Chemical Quadrants". MCR has admittedly been more in my girlfriend's field than mine, so a lot of the songs on The Black Parade were familiar to me, but not in the particular structure of the album itself. I'm drawn to the sort of "bleak" progression in the instrumentation of each of the songs in the face of the relentless guitar and drums. Very "end-of-the-world" feeling, which is again, at odds with a majority Way's lyrics. I know there are people out there who can't put up with the tone of vocals rooted in pop-punk like MCR and Green Day, but I can't get enough of it. I'll probably find myself exploring more of their discography in future.

r u cheating on my girl ? dasgustang :/
Hello, Seedflap.
For this week's song, I realized quickly that this "Welcome to the Black Parade" (which I had never heard before) was obviously some weird cover of the much more well-known song "Knight of Blood", by Broadway Karkat. Seeing as I was unsure whether you intended for us to listen to the copy of this song or not... I decided to listen to both songs. After all, I wouldn't want to listen to the wrong thing!
Wow, 12 meats is almost over... hasn't it been so much fun listening to all that music? I sure had fun. In fact, I've ranked every single song that you've made us listen to (and some you didn't).
First, I prepared a "tier list" (see attached).
Now, of course, these ratings aren't objective — my opinion is, of course, subjective and dependant on my music tastes — I would be curious to see others' opinions on this topic.
As you know, for each song I endeavored to listen to nothing but that song for a full day, to make sure I got the complete experience.
Because of this, as you've seen, I listened to many of these songs a Lot of times. But how many exactly? Which song did I listen to the most?
To answer these questions, I have created a helpful PIE CHART (see attached). As you can see, I listened to Shinigami Eyes the most times — and I listened to every song a total of 1,094 times. Hey, an unrelated fun fact, did you know the most times I listened to any one song all of last year was 52 times?
Now, of course, each song has a different length — so, I could listen to a short song way more times in the same amount of time as a longer song. To solve this, I also made a PIE CHART for how many hours were spent listening to each song (see attached)! This time, Bring Me To Life takes the lead, by a wide margin!
That's 71.91 hours!! That's almost three full days.
Well, I hope you enjoyed my look into how a good fraction of my 12 meats solar perigee went! 3•:o)
This has been a lot of fun.
Best,
allseeingTrifecta (A.K.A. DarcyDraws)
wow :) i luv whatevers wrong with you :) like i mean that hit me up bby and make pie charts about how many long hours u spend with meeeeeeeee ;)

there are all my fav girlies again ;) luv ya <3
Since the last clanche is coming, and there's no guarantee you will read emails for the activities we do next week, I needed to say how MIRTHFUL the Perigee has been. Bewildering miracles have been present, such as learning. Like, I had no idea how to make pancakes or shitty breadsticks, and if it weren't for the weekly activities I would never have given a damn to learn how. Also, it was a first time experience watching CONAIR, FACE/OFF, and SMARTHOUSE, all of which were far above my expectations. Having “the creators” embarrassing past works restored has been a blast to read, plus drawing the full yaoi. On that note, you introduced me to promstuck, which is easily the best thing ever. Thanks. The music, besides troll evanescence, wasnt my taste. But mcr is, so I'll email that later.
Thank you, Seedflap, for putting up with everyone's horseshit and hosting the 12 Meats Solar Perigee. I've had a lot of fun. It takes two full minutes to load the site on my phone.
