Even in his slightly dazed state, Touya could see that. Could see that the other boy was so close to losing his mind and sanity to whatever had warped his innocent mind so much. It was amusing, it could have even been satisfying if it weren’t for the fact that his throat hurt from where Black had choked him earlier. No one had dared to act up like this so far; it definitely deserved some sort of punishment for this arrogant brat!
Though… the brunet couldn’t stop himself from feeling a slight amount of concern for the older male, watching in growing confusion as Black seemed to be plagued by headaches? Yes, he kept gripping his head and groaning in such a painful manner that the knight giggled quietly under his breath as he shook his head and forced himself to take a deep breath after another. No way would he lose his composure like this again. He wouldn’t submit to a pathetic creature like Black, like any of his alternates.
But what was he talking about— He hadn’t done anything! If Black thought that he could blame him for his state of mind, then he was wrong. Taking another deep breath passed when he perked up at the sudden giggle coming from the other. A shiver ran down his spine. He knew the sound; it was that of a sadist in the making— of someone enjoying the suffering and turmoil of another person; of the damage they had induced on them! And yet he continued to sound so pained every now and then… Mh. Interesting. Touya lowered his head in what seemed to be a submissive position, breathing lightly through his parted lips although they quickly were tugged into a faint, almost invisible smirk while he glanced in Black’s direction.
Adorable the way he tried to get under his skin! Just too bad that it was useless since he was so used to constant antagonising and mockery thanks to a certain green-haired Lord that always messed with him. “I think you got something wrong, dearest,” he chuckled lightly, slowly moving to get back onto his feet while he kept a close eye on his alternate that seemed more and more swinging back between laughing and groaning. It was a pathetic display.
So pathetic that he almost pitied him.
Touya was back on his feet, staring down at the surprisingly unwavering youth while he reached for one of his pokeballs and laughed ever so sweetly, charmingly even. So Black wanted to stop playing? Yes, of course. He could have that. Touya was sick of this kind of treatment anyway, not to mention his throat hurt and he definitely wasn’t up to any more child’s play.
“Admittedly, this stupid game went a bit too far, don’t you think?” He knew exactly what his alternate wanted to hear, but he wouldn’t say it. There was only one person he would willingly submit to, but alas he wasn’t present — so why should he play along any further? Releasing his Musharna from the confines of his Pokeball, Touya nodded in Black’s direction. “Soleil, use Hypnosis. I’m sick of wasting my time with a delusional fool that doesn’t realise he has lost the game by the time we started it. Put him to sleep, what do I care.”
And at once, the bright pink Pokémon glew faintly before it flew over to other boy and touched his temples with no fear at all in its actions.
Touya wasn’t the only one who grew more and more confused, though. Had Black been any more conscious, he’d probably have been worrying over his own behaviour. Although his level of tolerance for pain wasn’t extremely high in the first place, he seemed to only have more and more trouble even keeping up. Which was, as he himself put it, not how he should act.
Aah, that was a sight to behold. Touya lowering his head like that, wasn’t that great? He finally got what he wanted. Finally, finally, at last he listened to his earlier demands to just shut up and listen to him. Did that mean he could also finally calm down and take it slow? Of course not..
The older brunet laughed loudly, heartily yet coldly. “I’m wrong? I don’t see how I of all people could be wrong, Touya. Especially..” A soft groan. “Especially at a time like this one.”
Yes, he was still struggling against the pains and mixed signals, but whether that was because of his current mindset, or because of his own personality, nobody could tell. Maybe a bit of both? It didn’t matter much. It really didn’t.
The knight got closer, back on his feet. He heard it, the light taps of his boots on the marble floor. The characteristic clicking of the heels.
“Yes, it’s been dragging on and on..maybe you should go and listen to me, like I had initially asked of you” he snapped, voicing his displeasure once more. Just admit to it already, give up, bow down, stop resisting! But Touya’s words didn’t mean what he was made to think, and it took him a bit to realize that, no, the other had no intention of submitting to him.
So naturally, his head snapped up and he shot a foul glare in the younger’s direction.
“What do you think you’re doing?” he demanded to know, assuming the fiercest stance he could manage like this.
He was going to use a pokemon on him? What a joke! As if he hadn’t some partners of his own! A shaky hand reached for his belt, unclipping a pokeball but failing to actually keep hold on it. Axis’ capsule dropped on the floor with a dull thud, as if only a marble.
And Black laughed. Laughed as he side-eyed the capsule spinning and rolling for a bit longer before turning to himself. It wouldn’t matter anymore, would it? He’d just have each and every one of them slip from his grasp, until they were all on the floor. He couldn’t have that, no.
He redirected his gaze only briefly, eyes registering the Musharna before he glared at Touya another time. "A musharna? That's cute" he retorted as he tried getting back on his feet as well. No such luck. He was left glaring upwards on one knee, hands resting on the other knee in front of him.
"Putting me to sleep is only going to give you some extra time" he scowled unhappily. Maybe he should've talked less, seeing Soleil steadily inched in on him. He couldn't take the hit, it was hypnosis for Arceus' sake! So what now? Maybe if he rolled away-- Hah. That'd be unsightly.
Black cursed, shifting in place as if to dodge the psychic type. It worked out as well as you'd expect. Meaning it didn't. At all.
A hand was brought up to get a hold of a front paw, (if it even counted as a paw, we just don't know), and tugged at it, though lightly and feebly. But his grip loosened soon enough. A last half-glare was sent the knight's way as his tensed up body slowly relaxed and shoulders slumped, weight brought to rest fully on the same knee in front of him.
Protip: don't try having the last word when you're about to knock out any second.
